Very drying
I got this in the Lyko Lovables Beauty K-ueen with lots of lovely k-beauty products, and I was excited to try it since Iāve heard so many positive things about it! I have combination skin, but mostly dry skin with a slightly oilier T-zone, and my skin usually needs a lot of moisture. I used this every morning and evening for a little over a week, and in the evening I first used an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen. It has a solid consistency that foams lightly when water is added. It smells a bit earthy, but not my favorite scent. However, I had to stop using this after a week because my skin got damaged ā I felt like it almost stripped all moisture from my skin, my skin became tight and dry, and no matter what products I applied afterward, my face still felt dry and tight. As soon as I switched this cleanser out for a Milky Cleanser, my skin recovered, and I was able to reduce the moisturizing products in my routine. I think this might suit others, maybe best if you struggle with acne-prone, oily skin or large pores, as it cleans well. It might also suit normal skin if you like foaming cleansers. It also has some small grains that I find mildly exfoliating. If you have drier skin and donāt usually like foaming cleansers, I would recommend avoiding this. Itās marketed as a mild cleanser, but I donāt find it mild at all. Once Iāve rebuilt my skin barrier, I might see if I can use this as an exfoliator 1-2 times a week to finish the tube ā but I probably wonāt buy it again. Then this one, and then a mild cleanser afterwards, most recently smuutis. Because I feel that cleansers like smuutis donāt make me feel like makeup and especially sunscreen are removed. Lovely After Sun! āļø
I got this Hawaiian Tropic Hydrating After Sun in the Lyko Lovables The Sunkissed Kit, and have used it on vacation in Spain with lots of sun and swimming. I have used it in the evening after showering off sand, saltwater, and sunscreen, then applied this to add moisture to my skin. I usually have quite dry skin with a tendency to eczema, but I havenāt reacted to this. Itās pleasant to use, has a simple spray function with oil that smells like tropical coconut. I think the scent is similar to the Hawaiian Tropic Glowing Protection Lotion SPF50 sunscreen. The skin becomes soft and hydrated, and it feels long-lasting ā a couple of sprays on each arm and leg is enough, and itās easy to spread. You do get a bit oily and shiny afterwards, but it absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving a lovely glow and soft skin. I have long struggled with red bumps and ingrown hairs down there after shaving. Tried many different products and searched a lot for tips until one day I found this! I shave every third day and realized something had to be done to make it even more comfortable. Curl mousse for messy beachwaves
I have been testing this mousse for curly hair as a test pilot for a few weeks now. According to Schwarzkopf Professional, this vegan mousse is supposed to enhance and define hair curls, add volume, shine, care, reduce frizz, and provide a moisturizing feeling. It is used on damp hair and is suitable for both air drying or diffusing as it protects hair from heat up to 230 degrees. I have thick and very voluminous hair with a lot of frizz and a mix of waves & curls. Itās not the easiest hair to work with, and Iām still exploring different products that will highlight and preserve my curls without weighing them down or leaving the hair stiff, sticky, and matte. Thatās why I was very excited about this mousse! I really like the nozzle on the foam and that it doesnāt dispense too much foam at once, so you can easily adjust the amount you need. The product has a faint scent that almost disappears immediately. Itās easy to work with and doesnāt get sticky or unpleasant on the hands, unlike similar products Iāve tried. I think it worked best when I used it on soaking wet hair while still in the shower, squeezing the product well in to enhance my curls as I usually do. They became a bit defined, but much less than usual ā so they got weighed down a bit. I always air dry my hair and get the best results that way. With this foam, the curls immediately get bounce and definition, but after itās fully absorbed and a few hours have passed, they fall flat and the curls disappear. It gave a slightly frizzy beachwaves look with the feeling of somewhat weighed-down and matte hair thatās had a bit too much sun and saltwater, no matter how much or little product I used. Iāve also tried it a couple of times when my hair wasnāt dripping wet (but still damp), and with a lot more product, but then the hair just felt sticky, stiff, and straw-like, and I felt a bit like a messy sheep. I think this mousse definitely has its advantages, but it doesnāt quite live up to my expectations. It didnāt quite suit me or the result Iām looking for. I've tried these three products now for two weeks and have many positive things to say about them. If you've never tried the two shampoos before, you should be aware that the hair becomes very dry and tangled right after, but if you use shampoo and conditioner with a lot of moisture like these products after the two shampoos, your hair will feel absolutely amazing! My hair is what hairdressers call "not Nordic hair," and for the first time in a long time, I haven't had much frizz in my hair! Unfamiliar Scent
A bit of an unfamiliar scent since it doesn't smell like flowers like many others, but it smells more like fresh herbs. You absolutely have to use good shampoo and conditioner after using the detox because the hair gets stripped of old products, glass, and oil.
