Name a better combo? I have tested three lovely products from Kevin Murphy for over seven weeks, namely their hydrating shampoo & conditioner, as well as the detox shampoo! These products complement each other so well, and I am very impressed with all three 😍 I have written individual reviews of each product for those who want more details, but here is a short summary: The detox shampoo cleans the hair well and effectively removes product residues without irritating the scalp. The moisturizing shampoo ensures to cleanse the hair well while providing moisture, shine, and care from roots to ends. The conditioner is my favorite, and I have nothing to complain about. It gives such great results, and the hair both feels and looks so fresh, soft, and shiny after use. It also works great as a leave-in, so I can use less of other care and styling products. The world's best conditioner & leave-in if you like soft, shiny hair without frizz
I have used this conditioner every time I washed my hair in the last seven weeks, and I am sold!! 🙌🏼 Why haven't I tried this earlier? A bit about my hair: I have long, thick, and very full hair with a mix of waves and curls. Lots of frizz, unruliness, dryness, and dullness. Therefore, I rely on good care products, both in the shower and afterwards, to avoid looking like a fluffy sheep or Hagrid from Harry Potter 🤭 This hydrating conditioner suits me perfectly! One of the things I like best about it is how light and fluid it is compared to many others. At first, I was a bit scared of this and thought this formula couldn't possibly give me enough moisture and care, but I was thoroughly wrong. The consistency makes it super easy to distribute evenly throughout the hair, and without having to use tons of product. I don't know if it's magic or how it works – it just does! A tip from Kevin Murphy is not to rinse out the conditioner completely but to leave 30-40% of the product in the hair after washing. Of course, I had to try this (even though I was a bit afraid the hair would feel greasy or weighed down), but it worked SO well! I always use nourishing products like leave-ins, curl creams, hair oils, etc., after washing my hair, but since I started doing this, I have to use much less product because this gives such great results 💜 I have used this in combination with the matching shampoo and detox shampoo from the same brand. The detox shampoo cleans the hair very effectively but can make the hair a bit extra dry. Luxurious shampoo that tames frizz, adds shine, and plenty of moisture
This shampoo has been a staple in my shower for seven weeks now, so I thought it was time for a review. My hair is thick and full with both waves and curls. It can therefore quickly feel dull, dry, frizzy, and unmanageable – and needs a lot of moisture and care. One advantage is that it doesn’t get greasy quickly, and I only need to wash my hair a couple of times a week, despite having a somewhat dry and sensitive scalp. I really liked this one, and there’s no doubt it gives the hair a good dose of moisture. My hair feels so soft and clean after using this. Because it’s so moisturizing, it can weigh the hair down a bit, but that’s minimal and in my case contributes to a smoother and shinier look! ✨ It smells really nice without being too strong or overpowering, and the scent fades quite quickly. It’s gentle on the scalp and hasn’t caused any irritation. Together with the simple but classic packaging, this leads to a luxurious experience. The only downside is that I have to use a bit more product than usual to get my hair properly clean, so it’s not very economical. All in all, I’m very satisfied and can definitely recommend this! Effective detox that's gentle on hair and scalp 💚
I've been using this detox shampoo every 3-4 washes for seven weeks now, and I have a good impression of it. It cleans the hair and removes product buildup very well. It dries out the hair a bit, as you can expect from a detox shampoo, but not more than similar products. Together with the Hydrate-Me conditioner from Kevin Murphy, this dryness is no longer noticeable. 💆🏽♀️ My scalp is on the dry side and a bit sensitive, so I'm always a bit skeptical about trying new hair products, especially when they're deep cleansing. This caused no irritation, itching, or increased dryness, but I felt it was on the milder side and could have cleansed the scalp a bit more. That's the only thing I have to criticize, but again, this is perfect for the more sensitive as well. I need only a small amount of product for it to be effective, so it's economical to use, and since it doesn't need to be used that often, it will last a long time. Glossy and more light-reflective bleached hair
I bought this because I was looking for a good sealer for my bleached hair. My hair can quickly dry out a bit dull and lose shine, even when I use moisturizing products. This has therefore become the last step in my leave-in routine. I don’t use it alone but apply it at the end to seal the hair. What I notice the most is the difference when the hair is dry. The hair becomes much glossier, smoother, and light-reflective instead of drying dull. I also think the hair looks more gathered and well-groomed. #konkurranseinflutester I just finished the entire bottle of Kérastase 8H Magic Night Serum, and I have to share my opinion – this is without a doubt the best hair serum I have ever had the pleasure of using. 🤍 I love everything about this serum, especially the effect it gives after a few hours. My blonde hair is naturally very dry and needs a lot of moisture, but after use, it becomes soft, smooth, and feels almost like new again. ✨ I apply the serum in the evening and put my hair up in a loose bun. I actually do this to get a bit of natural wave/curl in my hair, but I’ve also noticed that my hair becomes much more manageable and easier to style after using the serum. And the scent… 😍 It’s absolutely lovely! My husband loves it, and every time I use the serum, he can hardly keep away from me 🙈 It’s truly one of the best scents I’ve had in a hair product. The only downside is the price – it’s not exactly cheap. Another small minus is that the effect doesn’t last if you stop using the serum completely. But at the same time, I still think it’s worth it because the effect after use is simply amazing. 🤍 In the pictures, you can see the difference before and after using the serum. Very drying
I got this in the Lyko Lovables Beauty K-ueen with lots of lovely k-beauty products, and I was excited to try it since I’ve heard so many positive things about it! I have combination skin, but mostly dry skin with a slightly oilier T-zone, and my skin usually needs a lot of moisture. I used this every morning and evening for a little over a week, and in the evening I first used an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen. It has a solid consistency that foams lightly when water is added. It smells a bit earthy, but not my favorite scent. However, I had to stop using this after a week because my skin got damaged – I felt like it almost stripped all moisture from my skin, my skin became tight and dry, and no matter what products I applied afterward, my face still felt dry and tight. As soon as I switched this cleanser out for a Milky Cleanser, my skin recovered, and I was able to reduce the moisturizing products in my routine. I think this might suit others, maybe best if you struggle with acne-prone, oily skin or large pores, as it cleans well. It might also suit normal skin if you like foaming cleansers. It also has some small grains that I find mildly exfoliating. If you have drier skin and don’t usually like foaming cleansers, I would recommend avoiding this. It’s marketed as a mild cleanser, but I don’t find it mild at all. Once I’ve rebuilt my skin barrier, I might see if I can use this as an exfoliator 1-2 times a week to finish the tube – but I probably won’t buy it again. Lovely After Sun! ☀️
I got this Hawaiian Tropic Hydrating After Sun in the Lyko Lovables The Sunkissed Kit, and have used it on vacation in Spain with lots of sun and swimming. I have used it in the evening after showering off sand, saltwater, and sunscreen, then applied this to add moisture to my skin. I usually have quite dry skin with a tendency to eczema, but I haven’t reacted to this. It’s pleasant to use, has a simple spray function with oil that smells like tropical coconut. I think the scent is similar to the Hawaiian Tropic Glowing Protection Lotion SPF50 sunscreen. The skin becomes soft and hydrated, and it feels long-lasting – a couple of sprays on each arm and leg is enough, and it’s easy to spread. You do get a bit oily and shiny afterwards, but it absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving a lovely glow and soft skin. Curl mousse for messy beachwaves
I have been testing this mousse for curly hair as a test pilot for a few weeks now. According to Schwarzkopf Professional, this vegan mousse is supposed to enhance and define hair curls, add volume, shine, care, reduce frizz, and provide a moisturizing feeling. It is used on damp hair and is suitable for both air drying or diffusing as it protects hair from heat up to 230 degrees. I have thick and very voluminous hair with a lot of frizz and a mix of waves & curls. It’s not the easiest hair to work with, and I’m still exploring different products that will highlight and preserve my curls without weighing them down or leaving the hair stiff, sticky, and matte. That’s why I was very excited about this mousse! I really like the nozzle on the foam and that it doesn’t dispense too much foam at once, so you can easily adjust the amount you need. The product has a faint scent that almost disappears immediately. It’s easy to work with and doesn’t get sticky or unpleasant on the hands, unlike similar products I’ve tried. I think it worked best when I used it on soaking wet hair while still in the shower, squeezing the product well in to enhance my curls as I usually do. They became a bit defined, but much less than usual – so they got weighed down a bit. I always air dry my hair and get the best results that way. With this foam, the curls immediately get bounce and definition, but after it’s fully absorbed and a few hours have passed, they fall flat and the curls disappear. It gave a slightly frizzy beachwaves look with the feeling of somewhat weighed-down and matte hair that’s had a bit too much sun and saltwater, no matter how much or little product I used. I’ve also tried it a couple of times when my hair wasn’t dripping wet (but still damp), and with a lot more product, but then the hair just felt sticky, stiff, and straw-like, and I felt a bit like a messy sheep. I think this mousse definitely has its advantages, but it doesn’t quite live up to my expectations. It didn’t quite suit me or the result I’m looking for. Versatile favorite that really delivers on its promises
I have been testing this heat protection spray for a few weeks now as a test pilot for Lyko. It is a versatile and vegan spray designed to protect against heat up to 230 degrees, shield hair from humidity, reduce frizz, and add shine. It can be used on both wet and dry hair. My first impression of this spray was very good! The bottle was large, and the product is economical to use.
