Tomorrow I turn ååå years old! Yep, I’m one of those who loves to celebrate birthdays! Yesterday, I was invited on a birthday date by my husband, and of course, I was tempted to create something glam with the fantastic palette from #Danessamyricks 😍✨️ Together with the primer from the same brand and the cool Strobe Light Chrome flakes glitter, it turned into a really cool look that matches my hair! Both the pigments and the glitter are completely unreal, so if you like that kind of thing, you should invest in both the palette and the glitter gel!! A lovely and light setting spray that makes the makeup melt together in an absolutely incredible way! It leaves the skin with a fresh and light glow, perfect for days when you might otherwise look a bit gray and tired. The skin feels hydrated and keeps the makeup in place all day long. The only negative thing I have to say is that it sprays a pretty narrow area, I would have wished for a wider applicator. As a #Lykotestpilot, I’ve had the honor of testing #makeupstore’s stay all day setting spray💖 Before I tried this, I had been using Urban Decay’s setting spray, so that became my comparison! The first thing I noticed about the product was that it was quite perfumed, something that lowers the rating for me because I think it’s unnecessary, and because perfume isn’t great for the skin… However, something I thought was better about the product was that the spray distributed well and evenly. I received the Make Up Store Stay All Day Setting Spray to test from Lyko. The product description states that it contains aloe vera and cucumber, but I still wouldn't have expected the product to smell like a combination of cleaning product and aloe vera gel. I use setting spray every time I do my makeup, and I don't find it to compete with a perfume or body mist. The scent of this product doesn't even complement any of my perfumes, and due to its strength, it remains unusable for me. If the product were scent-free or the scent was mild, I could at least use it up. In the video, I applied Lumene lip liner (not waterproof) to the back of my hand and added the setting spray on top and let it dry. The color fades, but it doesn't smudge. I tested this setting spray as a Lyko Influtester. I don’t use setting spray in my everyday life, but if I’m going to a party or have an extra long day where I need my makeup to last, I’ve been loyal to Urban Decay All Nighter for years I was very excited about this spray. My first impression is that the bottle is super pretty. I love that it’s transparent, as I think it gives a very luxurious feel I also love the mist on this. It’s even and lightweight and settles like a veil over the face. It has a slight scent, but the smell is mild and fresh. My impression after spraying a thin layer over my face is that it has a very (!) cooling sensation. It feels a bit like I sprayed menthol on my face. Unfortunately, this feeling lasts maybe 10-15 minutes, but then it completely disappears. I tested this over a foundation that I know tends to fade and look quite bad after an hour, and I was mildly shocked. After 5-6 hours and a workout, my makeup still looked flawless. I really LOVE the effect of this spray, I just wish I could skip the very cooling sensation. So I’m taking off one star for that, but otherwise, this is a great product! #MAKEUPSTORE #LYKOTESTPILOT

I've been looking for a good basic little palette with brown shadows for a while, a "go-to" if you will. I'm noticing more and more how I appreciate these smaller trios and quartets, big palettes can be cumbersome to pull out, I think 😅 So this one was perfect in that regard. Most people probably know this by now, but I still want to mention that almost all makeup products can be used for other purposes than what they are marketed as. For example, I can imagine that this could also work as contour. So don't be afraid to use these on the lids just because it says "brow shadows" 😏 I really like how this trio performs. It's highly pigmented and doesn't get patchy on the lids, while the colors feel quite "natural" and lay down nicely. You can both build up the color and blend it out without any issues. Barely any kick back in the palette and not much fall out from application. The colors are similar enough that they blend incredibly easily with each other, but different enough that none feels redundant. I wanted a "go-to", and I feel like that's exactly what I got! At a really advantageous price too, pretty unbeatable actually. I'm really, really satisfied! 🤩💎✌️ PS! The colors are MUCH lighter than what Lyko's picture shows. I think my photos reflect the colors well, so look more at those than the pictures in the app/website. I was super lucky to get to test this setting spray from #makeupstore. Now I have been testing it for a while and I really like it a lot. I had the opportunity to test this setting spray a week ago and had no particular expectations beforehand. I was very positively surprised by this product, I think it has a nice scent, not too strong but a pleasant light fragrance. I love the spray itself, it creates an even mist that settles evenly over the face. It's not a sharp stream but rather a cloud that settles over the face, which I thought was awesome! I got the product to test from Lyko. This setting spray doesn't look impressive, but despite the simple packaging, the product is perfect! The mist is fine and has a mild scent that reminds me of cucumber 🥒 The scent is not strong and dissipates quickly, so I can also recommend the product for more sensitive noses. 🧖‍♀️ The setting spray brings life back to the face without being too dewy or oily-looking, and it also provides nice hydration. I have dry and aging skin, so this is an important feature for me in a fixing spray. 💧 The product promises an “airbrushed finish” and contrary to my expectations, it actually blurs the skin a bit! Compared to many other similar products, this fixing spray also extends the wear of makeup. My hair feels fresh. My thick hair feels thick without going flat. I can't really wish for more. I washed my hair yesterday with Waterclouds motion care shampoo and conditioner, which I have on trial at home. So far, I’ve found these to be too weak for my hair, so it’s not their fault that my hair feels the way it does. Honestly, it felt different already when the mask seemed to be different. Hard to explain, but the consistency of the hair and the mask kind of meld together and was completely smooth. You can tell that the scent is not an ICA scent. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean I like it 😋, but the scent fades afterward. Yes, I wrote a bit yesterday about being quite surprised after blow-drying. I used Lyko’s “beat the heat” as heat protection. It makes the hair softer otherwise too, but not at this level. I slept with my hair in a loose bun on my head and brushed it out today. No oil, nothing extra. It’s going to be super interesting to: 1: see if the hair holds up during styling (curls, etc.) or if it’s so “relaxed” that it goes straight again 2: see how it works if I go for my natural curls/waves. Could be super good or super heavy 3: I had a bit of the same experience the first time I tried Olaplex No. 3 (ALMOST, must be emphasized) but not since then… Will it be the same here? I’ll probably use this for my next wash too, but then it will get a break. I think it will be too much and unnecessary to use every time… but that’s what I THINK. I was skeptical because I think brow wax I've tested has made the hairs thick and looked kind of dusty, but now I've heard a lot of good things about this, so I gave it a chance. The product is more like a gel than wax, but when it dries, it gives the brows a slightly waxier feel, though without it being visible that it's there. Take a brow brush, a little bit of the product, and brush it into the brows. The packaging is what brings down a star; it's kind of awkward with the brush in the jar and creates a dent in the middle, BUT since it requires so little product, it's enough to dip the end of the brush in it, and then it distributes in the brush and brows when you brush. The longevity is really good! After 8 hours at work, it sat flawlessly. After 12 hours, it was totally okay, and after a lighter workout later, it was gone on one brow and a little left on the other. The product has no scent, the jar is glass with a black screw cap in classic Make up store style. As mentioned, the thing with jar vs. brush brings it down a bit, but I understand that it's hard to find something better when the product is too thick for "tube" and too loose for "palette". I will definitely buy it again and can definitely recommend it! #lykoreview #makeupstore

For reference, I have tested many popular setting sprays like Urban Decay, Hickap, Charlotte Tilbury, LH Cosmetics, etc. before trying this one from Makeup Store. The spray has a very fine mist that evenly distributes the product on the face. It has a mild, fresh scent. I feel that my makeup gets a bit more glow when I use the spray, and that the makeup then stays well without me getting particularly shiny throughout the day. I have also done the classic test where I applied makeup on the back of my hand, then a few layers of the spray on top, waited a few minutes, and then tried to rub off the makeup. The result is that the makeup has stayed put, which in my eyes is a good indication that the makeup on my face will hold well too.
