My heart has been completely stolen by the Face Formula Niactil 4% product. I found this gem in a 30 ml size in this year’s Mind Glown Advent Calendar, and another product in 100 ml was in the 24K Advent Calendar. 🧴 Regarding the packaging, the product comes in a handy tube with a very nice blue color. It’s made of soft, comfortable plastic and has a practical click closure, which makes daily use very easy. The product has a thick, gel-like formula, is efficient, and only a minimal amount is needed per application, so it lasts much longer. It absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky layer on the skin. The serum has a milky color. 👃 The scent of the product is gentle and unobtrusive, very pleasant, making application a pure pleasure. At the start of using this Face Formula Niactil serum, just during application and assessing its consistency, the product immediately reminded me of a serum I previously tested from Benton – namely the Korean Benton Guava Moisture Soothing serum. I found that serum in Benton’s Advent Calendar. Both products have a very similar formula and show similar, strongly moisturizing and soothing effects. But the real magic happens when we combine them in one ritual and create a moisturizing COMBO❣️ 🧴Main features: Active ingredient: 4% niacinamide (vitamin B3), which brightens discolorations, reduces redness, tightens pores, and regulates sebum production. Glycerin (4%) – a strong humectant that binds water in the epidermis and deeply moisturizes the skin. Squalane – a light emollient compatible with human sebum that rebuilds the lipid barrier and smooths the epidermis without weighing it down. According to the manufacturer, the serum provides glow and hydration (Glow & Hydration). Although the manufacturer mainly dedicates this gel to oily, combination, and acne-prone skin due to the regulating properties of 4% niacinamide, it works phenomenally on dry, mature, and dehydrated skin – exactly like mine. For me, the key is applying them together in a specific order – after toner, I apply essence first, then gently pat in Benton serum, and after a short moment, I apply the Niactil 4% hydrogel. I finish the routine with a cream. These two products applied one after the other create an absolutely heavenly combo on the skin. Thanks to this brilliant combination, we amplify and strengthen the moisturizing and protective effects of both serums😍 Additionally, it’s worth answering the question of whether daily use of such a set clogs the skin? In my case, the risk is minimal. My dry and dehydrated skin literally drinks up this moisture. Dry skin produces very little natural sebum and needs lots of water and humectants, so this gel combo absorbs almost completely on me and doesn’t clog me despite daily, nightly care🥰 And here’s an important note: for someone with oily skin, such a gel, layered dose could cause problems and clogging, so I don’t recommend this combo to other skin types. All the cosmetics I found inside have perfect, long expiration dates. Unfortunately, the joy of unboxing was completely spoiled by the terrible packaging quality and quality control in the warehouse. The luxurious, plum-colored collective bag was forcibly and thoughtlessly squeezed into a too-small box. Under the enormous pressure during transport, the side seam of the bag simply tore, leaving a large, unsightly hole 🥹 Worse, in my copy, the entire bag with number 7 was missing, in which the iconic NARS blush should have been (instead of 28 planned products, I have 27) 💔 Because of this, the whole thing looks like a reject from sorting, not a premium product for so much money, because I think this set is not worth that much. Additionally, I think that with such a high calendar price, the manufacturer unnecessarily included a plastic massaging gadget inside. Such devices are, for me, just fillers – not everyone will use it, and the quality of workmanship is far below the rest. In my opinion, a more useful cosmetic like a luxury serum should have been included 🤩 Of course, the issue with the missing cosmetic and the holey bag has been reported to the Polish customer service office, and I am waiting for their response. Logistics and customer treatment are a big minus, which reduces the value of the whole set. My first impression is that it is very sleek. The gray and orange packaging gives a modern and clinical feel, and the bottle with its smooth pump feels extremely hygienic and easy to use. Already at first glance, you expect a really high-quality product. The product has a light consistency, but unfortunately, the experience was not entirely problem-free 🥲 When I applied it, I noticed that it tends to ball up on the skin (pilling), which makes it difficult to get an even application (especially if you want to wear makeup on top). Also, it only has SPF 30, while I personally always prefer SPF 50 on my face to get maximum and as safe sun protection as possible during the day. I have sensitive skin that easily breaks out or gets clogged when I use the wrong sunscreens. At the same time, I have high demands on my sunscreens because I want high protection (preferably SPF 50) and a formula that lays seamlessly on the skin without rolling or pilling when you apply it. Ingredient-wise, it does its job moisturizing and protecting the skin against both sun, blue light, and infrared radiation without causing new breakouts. However, the pilling effect during application and the fact that it only has SPF 30 lowers the overall rating for me, as I don’t quite get the finish or the high protection I prefer in my daily routine. Nova Cream is described as a lightweight sunscreen with SPF30+ that protects against UVA, UVB, infrared, and blue light, while also providing moisture and strengthening the skin's natural defense. The packaging itself is nice – it comes in a golden brown pump bottle with orange details and looks stylish on its own. It’s probably easy to bring along when traveling and in your bag because of the cap, which is great! Relatively little product comes out with one pump, so to cover the entire face you should use a couple of pumps. The cream itself is white, soft, and pleasant on the skin, easy to spread, and gives a slightly shiny/shimmery result. I have tried it every morning for a little over two weeks now, but unfortunately, I’m not quite sure about the product. I find it difficult to know how much sunscreen to use. I’m used to needing quite a bit of sunscreen for good protection, and it also says on the product page that you should use a generous amount – yet only a little comes out with each pump, and if you use more than a couple of pumps, your face just turns white. On me, it also pills a lot throughout the day, no matter what I try to combine it with in terms of skincare and makeup. It pills the most on my chest/decolletage where I have the least skincare and no makeup. I’ve also used it some days without any makeup at all, but it’s almost like it pills more and more each time I use it, and today I actually had to wash it off because it was so annoying. I also experience that the shimmering effect of the cream sometimes feels like the skin is just oily – and that’s not so nice when you have combination skin… I also think the SPF is too low. I use SPF 50 on my face every day all year round because I use active ingredients in my skincare routine, so it feels very wrong to use only factor 30 these weeks. I haven’t noticed anything negative on my skin, but sun damage and signs of aging are things that come gradually. Would I buy the product again? No. It pills, it has too low SPF, and my skin looks shiny and white on some days. So no, I wouldn’t spend my money on this, at least not as long as there are fantastic sunscreens with higher SPF that don’t have these issues. Who could it suit? I imagine this sunscreen could suit those who use little skincare regularly and are looking for a simple product that can give a bit of a "glow" while providing sun protection. Personally, I think it’s a high price for a product that doesn’t quite deliver. I have never tried blue serum before, but I became very interested when I read about the product before receiving it in the mail. The serum is inspired by Scandinavian nature and contains copper peptides that are supposed to stimulate skin regeneration and collagen production, Snow Mushroom which binds moisture deeply and gives a more elastic skin surface, while malachite (a green copper mineral) provides antioxidant protection and supports the skin's ability to counteract oxidative stress. The bottle itself is very beautiful – a transparent glass bottle with blue serum and a simple dropper that works excellently. Very simple dosing mechanism where you just press the top of the cap to pick up serum, and it is easily applied to the skin. For me, one dose is enough for the whole face, as it is easy to spread over the skin and absorbs quickly. It feels soft and pleasant on the skin. I don't think it smells much, and the blue serum disappears quickly after application. It feels quite economical to use because you need so little at a time. I often have some redness in my skin, and I think it has improved since I started using this serum, and the skin has cleared up a bit and looks calmer. Would I buy it again? I'm unsure. The product is good, but the price is very steep for only 30 ml. At this price, there are many other good products with more research-based results. I am very grateful to have been able to test it, and I liked the consistency and appearance, but I am unsure if it is worth the price. I am also unsure if the combination with vitamin C and retinol is good together with copper peptides, as it is generally advised not to combine them in the same routine. I have used Blue serum with vitamin C in the morning and retinol in the evening during the test period, and I can't see that Face Formula has any recommendations regarding this, but when I read a bit closer, I find that it is generally recommended to use copper peptides at different times than retinol, vitamin C, and AHA. Since I use retinol and vitamin C every day, I will prioritize these over copper peptides.
