I was super excited about this spray, but oh, what a disappointment it was! Normally, Maria Nila is my lifesaver in a pinch, but this one didn't cut it. The spray is said to improve hair structure through its ingredients, but I noticed no noticeable difference at all. My hair is frizzy, and I have some damaged areas. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but for 499 kr, you want to see something at least. But the worst part is not even how little effect it has on my hair, but the horrible smell. It smells like a perfume shop with just one spray, and I still need quite a bit for my long hair. I feel like my pillow smells like men's perfume right now, and I've gotten such a headache from the scent that I had to wash it off and put the pillow in the wash. But when I use this gloss coat, my hair stays flat for several days with no frizz at all! It's easy to use and can be stored in, for example, the bathroom cabinet. The oil smells really good - I would say the scent is perhaps fruity? But it fits my preferences really well at least. I tried this a few times on damp hair and now in the video on dry hair, and I find that both techniques work really nicely! I think the product gives a lot of shine and softness. I have been using Maria Nila's Power Powder for a year now and have really tested the results it gives! I apply it near the roots after styling my hair with a hot brush or curling iron, and it really gives a lift to the hairstyle. My hair is quite heavy, but the powder still manages to give the volume I'm looking for. I find the application can be a bit tricky as I experience that the hair gets very sticky if you spray the powder TOO close to the roots. It then becomes difficult to get the hair to lay how you want, which brings it down a bit. Note! It can also turn a bit white if you apply too close. Aside from this, I am super satisfied with this product! Dark blonde color pack 🎨
I was going to be a model at a show with Christmas party clothes and thought it would be good to tone down the pink shades I had in my hair. Half Cacao intense and half Sand in damp hair for 1.5 hours gave this result! (As usual, I mixed in a bit of hair mask for the hair closest to my face, like the ”bangs”, to keep it a bit lighter). I usually take a larger freezer bag and pull it over my hair and then put a hat over it so the hair stays warm while the color works, even though it’s a bit chilly at home this time of year. Cacao intense is cool in tone and on light hair can look a bit dull on its own (and even leave a bit of green in the lightest strands), and Sand is a warm shade that is TOO warm for me (too much red in it), so I don’t use it on its own either, but it mixes well with a bit of Cacao Intense. If you have thin hair, I would recommend applying it to dry hair, as it holds much better and gives more effect, but if you have thick hair, it won’t be particularly cost-effective since it will take A LOT of product and still wash out quite quickly. Now there will be no clothing show because I have a concussion, and unfortunately, it has gotten worse, so I’m currently spending all my time activating my senses as little as possible. Insanely boring. At least my hair turned out well, so I feel a bit happy when I see myself in the mirror. Fragrant oil that controls frizz!
My first impression of this oil is very good. It is light in consistency and absorbs quickly. It feels soft and light in the hand and is easy to apply in the hair. I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like, but to me, it smells like candy! I have dry hair with medium-thick strands. My hair is dry due to a chronic illness, and I often look very frizzy with freshly washed hair. There was a big difference with this oil. It controls fine hair with the help of the silicone in it and leaves the hair with a healthy and shiny appearance. I also have some flyaways with shorter hair, but this oil doesn't affect that much. I discovered with this review that I'm bad at taking freshly washed selfies, and I got a haircut (just so you know what is before/after) Usually, I use Macadamia oil in my hair after showering, but I can confirm that this oil is perfect for me as I have issues with frizz. I've only been able to test it once so far, as I've been away and didn't have the opportunity to take the oil with me, but I'm looking forward to using it more! Rosé Gold Hair
Or maybe rosé silver 😌 because the shade is quite cool. But pink shade anyway. I have continued to mix a little differently depending on where in the hair it should be applied. The underhair is quite dark blonde, so there I have more of the pink. In the overhair, I have more of beige blonde, and closest to the face, I have even more mixing. This time I tried to mix it with shampoo because I’ve heard it can be easier to distribute evenly that way. Yes, it was actually a bit easier to distribute (even though it feels wrong to mix shampoo and treatment 😅) I added a little bit of cacao intense this time so it wouldn’t become too red-pink. Cacao intense is very cool, so it gives that effect. I’m satisfied! Maybe it became a little too little pink in the front, but I enjoy being able to vary how much pink I want/don’t want to show, and it’s still more pink than if I hadn’t put anything in.
