    No major difference…

I tested the Maria Nila Cool Cream in hopes of getting a cooler tone and refreshing my color between salon visits. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any major difference in the results. In the before-and-after pictures (right is after), you can see that the tone in the hair is basically the same – no noticeable toning down of the warm shades that I had expected. The positive is that the hair felt soft and moisturized after use, and the product is easy to apply. But when it comes to the promised color effect and cooling of the tone, it unfortunately didn’t live up to my expectations. I would say that this might be a product that works better for someone with an already cool tone who just wants to maintain the color, rather than actively neutralizing warmth. Love!

Love this heat protectant spray! It's perfect to use when straightening or curling hair. Gives hold to the hair, even in my Nordic fine hair 🩷 I've previously struggled with curls not holding, but after starting with this, they last longer, even after brushing through. Can absolutely recommend 🤩 🌟 Smells good too! 🌟 Gives hold! For your information, this is like a hairspray and I will only use it on dry hair. #lykoreview #marianila

    Maria Nila Shaping Heat Spray

I have been testing Maria Nila's heat protection for about a month now, the first thing I thought of was the scent: The scent is very fresh and not too intense 🌸 I find that my hair often gets a “burnt” smell after using heat on it, but not with this heat protection. 🎉 It provides a light hold, which makes it easier to style and shape the hair. It doesn't weigh the hair down and left no “layer” of product. I also want to add that I have a very sensitive scalp, and I had no reactions 🩷 Recommended!! 🫶🏼 Summary: 🌸 Effectively protects against heat 🌸 Fresh and mild scent 🌸 Doesn't weigh the hair down #lykoreview #lykomission #lyko #marianila #heatprotection

  • Cocoa intense for light hair

First time with color bomb here and I already love it, the hair became so soft! Relatively newly colored starting point with some regrowth (full of orange tones, done at the hairdresser) the result became very striped (about 7, 8, and 9) so I wanted to even out the edges a bit with my natural hair color and tone down the orange. Which I think succeeded pretty well. Mixed half Cocoa intense with fragrance-free conditioner and about 2-3ml pink pop in towel-dried hair for about 45min it happened to be. Didn’t sit so well in the regrowth but since it’s untreated - anyone know how to treat regrowth gently and preferably environmentally friendly just to get the color bomb to stick there too? Highlights for regrowth at the hairdresser don’t treat the entire regrowth, right? Can you bleach with something mild for a short time at home maybe? I’d love to continue with color bombs as they feel more environmentally friendly than regular home dyes (bleaching with hydrogen peroxide they also do at green hairdressers, I’ve understood but not dyes) - and you get a treatment at the same time - just win win 🤩👏🏻 #marianila #colourrefresh #cocoaintense

    Color refresh-hair

Now I found a photo when I was freshly toned with Maria Nila color refresh- a mix of Pink Pop, Cacao intense, and uncolored conditioner. I can't say the exact measurements of how many “parts” I had of each, because I did it many times this spring, but you just have to test it out. Remember that conditioner (or treatments if you use those) have different consistencies, so it depends on what you mix with. Now I am in an uncolored state (blonde photo) and the darker one is with the color treatment. I usually apply new color about every other wash. #MARIANILA

Malinn It probably depends on the concentration, I usually mix it with a bit of conditioner, but I think it comes out after a few washes. Purple can take time to get out, and pink pop can also take time if you have damaged/blonde hair, but generally, it comes out faster than I want 😅
