Luxury frustration! 💥
When turning the bottle upside down for a few days didn’t help, I had to do the only right thing; demolish it! 😈 I struggle with packaging where you have to break into it to get the last bit out. Or in some cases, not even the last bit, but after 2/3 of the bottle you have to bring out the pruning shears (love you Maria Nila but your pump bottle for color refresh leaves something to be desired there 😜 But it’s solid to get through, I’ll give you that 😄 if there was a thickness rating for packaging. It doesn’t break on its own at first try 😎 ✂️ 🔪 ). The best moisturizing mask on the market
I would claim that this mask is the absolute best for moisture that exists on the market. You notice an immediate difference, one wash is enough. I personally have Nordic striped hair that is bleached, and my hair looks so fresh and undamaged after using this. I hope they never stop producing this, but I find that it is harder to get now.. I'm experiencing that I'm getting good curls but that my hair is a bit heavier with these products than with Umberto Giannini. I kind of feel like washing my hair earlier. You who have tested different product combinations for wavy/curly hair probably know what I mean. I think it will even be a wash tonight. Shiny Conditioner
I use this conditioner with the matching shampoo and I find my hair shinier after use, but I don't feel like it really removes tangles and knots (I do have long and thick hair that easily gets tangled and knotted, so I find it hard to find products that completely remove knots and tangles). I have long, thick, and colored hair, and this shampoo (with matching conditioner) adds shine to my hair after use. However, I don't find that it removes tangles and knots, but I think it's hard to find hair care lines that do since I have such thick hair and it easily gets tangled. As others have mentioned, the scent is mild, so it's a plus if you have trouble with strong scents. I still feel like my hair has become stronger, there isn't as much hair falling out when I brush it. Good and long-lasting, but not a miracle
Olaplex No. 5 is a really long-lasting conditioner, and you need far less than you would normally use with, for example, L’Oréal. I found that about a quarter of the amount I usually use was plenty – and it works best to add a little extra water to the hair rather than more product. It has a mild, clean scent and a concentrated consistency, but without being heavy or greasy. It leaves the hair soft and easy to comb through, and it didn’t irritate my scalp. Even though it’s nice and long-lasting, I don’t think the results were significantly better than cheaper conditioners I’ve tried. Good, but not a gamechanger
I think Olaplex No. 4 was a nice shampoo. It has a mild citrus scent that is pleasant without being overwhelming. One of the first things I noticed is how incredibly concentrated it is. The amount I would normally use from, for example, L’Oréal, I only needed about a quarter of here. It definitely works better to add more water than more product - I learned that the hard way when I ended up with foam everywhere. Even though the price is high, you use so little at a time that it can make sense if you are in the target group for this type of shampoo. That said, I don’t think it did anything extraordinary for my thick natural hair that a cheaper shampoo couldn’t have done as well. This product pair is going to be a staple! These products worked magic on my hair. I could already feel a big change in texture and hair durability in a short time. The products were repairing but not too heavy for the hair or scalp. Of course, it's good to remember that a little goes a long way and brings the best results. The products smelled lovely and the texture was really pleasant. I enjoyed that my hair wasn't tangled in the morning and I hardly had to detangle it at all. About the packaging, it's wonderfully simple and the products are also easy to take along on trips, and you don't have to worry about them opening up in your bag. First and foremost, I really like the design of the products. It's classic, simple, and stylish; they simply look delicious on the bathroom shelf. The scent is mild and clean, something I think most people will enjoy 🫧 To give a bit of context, I have thick hair with many fine strands, as well as some coarser and drier hair at the nape and a bit of split ends. The conditioner is also quite rich, even though it naturally doesn't lather like the shampoo does. However, you don't need much product to distribute it evenly in the hair. After use, the hair becomes soft, lovely, and easy to comb through. One thing I find to be a downside, especially with the conditioner, is that the packaging is somewhat impractical. Since the conditioner has a thicker consistency, I have to shake the bottle several times to get the product out. I can imagine this becoming even more challenging when the bottle starts to get close to half full. I like the luxury feel the products give, both in the shower and afterwards. The hair becomes soft and easy to manage. At the same time, I feel that the line is probably developed more for hair that is damaged or weakened by, for example, bleaching and coloring, which my hair is not. Therefore, the products can feel a bit heavy for my fine strands. I think they could be perfect for someone with more damaged or coarse hair that needs extra care and moisture 🧬 All in all, I am satisfied with both their shampoo and conditioner.
