Olaplex was already a familiar brand to me. I had heard a lot of good things about their products, but I hadn't tried them myself until now.❤️ I have long, thick, coarse, and slightly curly hair. Few products work on my hair. I managed to try the shampoo and conditioner several times before giving this review. I’m not surprised that these have been praised as really good products. My hair is soft and stays clean for a long time. It doesn’t get greasy quickly, like some other products do. They are also wonderfully airy. I was also positively surprised by how little shampoo was enough to wash my hair. So the product is very economical. Even though these are pricey, they are definitely worth it!❤️ One star off for the bottle's dispensing. Third day since wash. I brushed my hair today, lightly sprayed with water and scrunched in a bit more gel (gel+water on hands so the strands don’t stick in the gel and separate the curls) and when it dried, scrunched in a bit of oil from Kerastase. The hair is still soft and doesn’t feel over-processed or greasy. Forgotten Product and Mascara Test
When I suggested hair masks to a friend yesterday, she asked if I had tried Olaplex. Of course, I have, but I also completely forgot that I tested (and that I even bought) Olaplex curl gel! Today I'm testing it along with Umberto Giannini's mousse (mousse first, then gel). The instructions say to use it as the only product, but I'm skeptical, so I'm trying it this way first. In the pictures, the hair is 80%(-ish) dry and without scrunching the curls, but they never became stiff, so it looks pretty much the same as 💯 dry, just lighter. The first impression is good. It promises frizz-free curls for 72 hours. I think, maybe not on that, but we'll see tomorrow how it looks on day 2! I'm testing to compare BBIA's two black mascaras (the blue fiber mascara and the red one without fibers), and on the left in the picture, I have three layers of the red one, and on the right, I have the blue. Minimal difference, possibly a little more volume on the red. Crazy good
I have thick, thick, non-compliant hair strands so much that when I put it up in a ponytail, it stands more straight back than it falls down. I tried these and my hair became so soft and compliant! I never thought it would be possible with my hair😂 The shampoo is incredibly concentrated, so it has lasted me a long time.
