I think I may have tested all the cleansing shampoos on the market worth testing, and none compare to this one. It costs a bit, but is very economical in use. I usually use this for 2 rounds when I first use it, but you only need a pea-sized amount to cover the entire scalp (avoiding the lengths). Smells very clean and neutral, if you ask me. Some cleansing shampoos can make hair very difficult to work with (including Kevin Murphy's), and you often have to finish with another shampoo, but that's really not necessary with this one. The hair is still manageable and not dry. I use the product about once a week in two rounds so it lathers properly. In addition to cleansing the scalp of grime and dirt, it also neutralizes the color tones in my hair, which is highlighted and bleached blonde. In combination with a good silver shampoo every now and then, the color becomes very even and cool. Highly recommended, will buy again and again. My K18 routine
2026 is going to be the year that I take extra good care of my hair. So of course I need K18, I use it about 1-2 times a month. For it to work as well as possible, the hair must be completely clean. That’s why I go in with a clarifying shampoo from Malibu C. After that, I towel dry my hair and then go in with K18. I’m careful to section my hair so that each strand gets product on it. I let it sit for at least 4 minutes before I go in with my leave-in products. Hello all you lovely members✨ With this post, I want to recommend the products that have saved my severely bleached hair. 🙌🏼 I have been bleaching my hair at least 2 times a year for the past 4 years. I quickly noticed how dry and damaged my hair became after the first bleaching. That’s when I felt I needed to save my hair to avoid having to cut it off. I started testing various hair masks, shampoos, serums, etc. The product that improved the quality of my hair at the first use was the k18 Leave In Molecular Repair Mask; after several uses, I saw how my hair came back to life. I had the honor of testing this leave-in mask from K18. I've heard a lot of good things about K18 but have never tested it myself, so I'm very grateful to have been able to try these, and I just say wow! This is truly magic in a bottle. I've used this in conjunction with K18 detox shampoo, and it’s really a super combo. The shampoo cleanses the hair of all dirt, then I towel-dry my hair and apply about 4 pumps of this to my hair. I wait for about 5 minutes, and then I can brush my hair out without any problems! I obviously use other products as well when I use this, but my hair has never been so easy to detangle as when I’ve used this! It moisturizes the hair and makes it easy to brush through! I had the honor of testing this detox shampoo from k18. I have never used k18 myself before, but I have heard very good things about it, and now I really understand the hype! The packaging is simple in appearance and has a very good pump function for opening and closing. The shampoo smells really good and fresh without being too perfumey. The shampoo is a bit black but transparent in color. When you lather it up, it looks like a regular shampoo. This detox shampoo really cleans deep and removes all dirt without drying out the hair too much. Freshens up the hair!
I have been able to test two products from #lykoinflutester for a couple of weeks as #K18, super fun since it’s a brand I’m familiar with from before and that I really like! I have tried their detox shampoo and Leave in mask 🤩 The first impression of the product is a fresh scent and a bit scary color since I’m not used to an almost black color! 🫣 I feel that it’s not too strong of a scent but still enough for the hair to smell fresh even after the shower. And the color was no problem, as soon as you start lathering up the shampoo, it looks like any other! Good, but expensive
I have used this after the K18 Detox Shampoo and then twice with another shampoo. When I used this after the Detox shampoo, I was a bit unsure if it would detangle my hair, if it would condition, etc. But, a couple of pumps and my hair detangled while brushing like it was nothing (which was quite a miracle, since the Detox shampoo had made a few knots in my hair). The static in my hair was gone and my hair didn’t really need any other conditioning products. Now I have used it a couple of times after using another shampoo and I still don’t need any other conditioning products. The biggest difference with this is that the static in my hair is completely absent. Without using the Detox shampoo, one pump is enough, with it 1.5 - 2 pumps. I have used this detox shampoo 1 time a week for 4 weeks and I am SOLD! My hair is naturally curly, dry, and frizzy and is in great need of a haircut. I dye my hair brown every 3rd-4th week (but only the roots regularly and I dye the lengths less often). I generally have no issues with my scalp, but it is still a bit dry and I can sometimes feel it itching. Especially during weather changes when it gets cold, which has exactly happened while I have been testing this. This is a detoxifying shampoo that cleanses deeply without feeling dry. I have previously used Kevin Murphy's detox shampoo, which completely dries out the hair before you put in, for example, a mask or conditioner, this one does not do that but feels more like a regular shampoo when you use it. I always do two applications when I use this and let it sit for a little while each time before I rinse it out, so it gets to set a bit! PRODUCT: 4/5 I was very surprised when black shampoo came out from this (in my opinion) very ugly and boring packaging! I am not a big fan of this type of packaging where you flip up the lid, hence one point less. The product is very economical, so you don't need much and it distributes easily in the hair. I find it lovely to work with in the scalp and it also lathers well, especially with 2 applications. SCENT: 5/5 It actually doesn't smell much, but has a faint lovely scent that feels clean. So if you are looking for something that smells strong and intense, this is not the product for you. I think it is optimal for a detox shampoo with a light scent, then you know that the focus is right! RESULT: ▪️ What I want to highlight the most is that my hair is significantly cleaner, I wash my hair every 3 days and since I started with this, my hair is fresh until the next wash! Moisturizing AND Deep Cleansing
🍾I have had the honor of trying this shampoo from #lykoinflutester as #k18!🍾 A super lovely shampoo that is really economical, you don't need much to get really clean and healthy hair. I noticed right from the first time that my hair became much lighter and softer, and that product residues were lifted away. Clarifying shampoos can sometimes dry out my scalp if I use them too often, but I haven't experienced that at all with this one! I double shampoo as usual and am just as shocked every time at how well it lathers and how little shampoo you need. The shampoo has a slightly spooky dark color and doesn't smell particularly strong, but leaves the hair soft and moisturized, and really prepares the hair for a really good hair mask, glossing, or K18 mask! It feels like treatments applied after using this shampoo are better utilized by the hair. I can even brush my hair gently without conditioner, and the hair is easy to detangle, and after styling, the hair is filled with shine. Good product but not revolutionary
I have used this product as a treatment for my hair for about 4 weeks, both individually and together with K18 Detox shampoo, which I use once a week. This is a product that is extremely talked about and hyped, which makes the expectations high! My hair is naturally curly, dry, and frizzy and is in great need of a haircut. I dye my hair brown every 3rd-4th week (though I only regularly dye the roots and the lengths I dye less often). No product can save hair that needs to be cut, but this should still make a significant improvement, which I unfortunately do not really experience! My hair does not break off, but it is just very damaged at the ends and especially dry. PRODUCT: 4/5 According to the description, you should always start with 1 pump, which is enough for my hair if I don’t want to boost it a little extra, then I take two pumps. The product is still economical, but you have to work it into the hair. I always scrunch it into the ends and then scrunch it up into the lengths. The pump is a bit slow, so you have to push a bit to get the product out. That it gets 4/5 is because I actually don’t notice a difference from other leave-in products, like Fenty Beauty the comeback kid or Olaplex no 6. In those, you also get much more product for the money (comparison price). SCENT: 5/5 This smells so incredibly good! I, who don’t know anything about notes and can feel WHAT it smells like, would just say that it smells incredible and luxurious like a salon! Quite a strong scent if you are a bit sensitive. I love the scent! RESULT: 3/5 Just as I wrote above, the result does not stand out at all for me. It really does nothing negative for my hair, but it moisturizes and strengthens, smooths out quite well, prevents tangling, and smells good. But according to the description, the hair should "feel new" and repair the hair on a molecular level, which I do not experience at all. As I said, I do not notice a difference between this and my other good leave-ins. Which for me comes down to a price issue, where this is significantly more expensive in comparison price. Would I buy the product again? No, I prefer Olaplex no 6. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, it has really saved many other people's hair but not mine. K18 Molecule repair hair mask
I have been using this product for half a year now. It is good, but I wouldn't say it's worth the price. Pros: - Rehydrates - Softens the hair - Adds shine Cons: - Takes a long time before it shows some effect - Stays soft for 48h - I expected more I have tried many products to revive my hair.
