An elegant musk scent with more floral notes than I prefer
Crystal Emerald was a positive surprise. It opens fresh but quickly develops into a soft and clean scent with a lot of white musk. Musk scents are exactly what I usually gravitate towards, so I had high expectations for this one. The scent feels feminine and sophisticated, with a nice balance between freshness, warmth, and a light sweetness. At the same time, the rose and jasmine become a bit more prominent than I personally prefer. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it lacks the “Clean skin” feeling I get from my favorites. The longevity, however, is very good. It lasts a long time on my skin and doesn’t need many sprays before it’s clearly noticeable. The bottle also deserves praise – it feels heavy, exclusive, and looks incredibly beautiful, just like all Versace perfumes. This is definitely a good perfume, but it probably won’t become a new favorite of mine. My favorites are This Is Her!, Fleur de Peau, and Dylan Purple (also from Versace), and compared to them, Crystal Emerald has a more pronounced floral character. If you like musk combined with elegant floral notes, I think this one could be just right. A fresh and elegant everyday perfume with impressive longevity
This one pleasantly surprised me. I think it smells very fresh and clean, while also having enough depth so it doesn’t become boring or “soapy.” It feels feminine, sophisticated, and easy to use for both everyday and slightly more formal occasions. The longevity is also very good. On my combination skin, one spray lasts more than long enough, and the scent stays on the skin for many hours, if not until the next day, also on clothes. Therefore, I actually think the price is quite fair – it’s economical to use and will last a long time. I actually wouldn’t spray more than once, as it quickly becomes too heavy and intense, especially if you’re around others (bus, plane, and similar). That said, this is not a personal favorite. I generally don’t like very floral scents, and this one has more floral notes than I usually go for. My everyday favorites include This Is Her!, Dylan Purple, and Fleur de Peau, which are also clean and light but with a less pronounced floral expression. If you usually like floral scents, you will probably like this one. The bottle also deserves praise. It’s heavy and feels exclusive, yet it’s incredibly beautiful – one of the nicest perfumes out there, if you ask me. It can nicely stand on the bathroom shelf and doesn’t need to be hidden in a cabinet 🌟 All in all, a lovely perfume that I can definitely recommend, especially if you like fresh, clean scents with a floral touch and good longevity. Even though it didn’t quite top my personal favorites list, I understand very well why so many like it. Loved it before, but not anymore
I loved the old formulation of Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but the new one is unfortunately a big disappointment for me. It oxidizes throughout the day and becomes noticeably more orange, transfers onto everything it touches (despite both powder and setting spray), and the iconic matte finish is gone. I understand that the reformulation is probably due to new ingredient requirements, but the result unfortunately doesn’t feel like the same foundation. Among the biggest changes is that cyclopentasiloxane – the silicone that contributed to the matte finish – has been removed. They’ve also added hyaluronic acid for more moisture, niacinamide (which many react to), and introduced a new “polymer mesh matrix” that’s supposed to give a more natural result. For my skin, I unfortunately find that this makes the foundation transfer much more easily, settle more into pores and lines, and get a finish that feels more oily than matte. Not flattering in any way. Really sad, because this has been one of my favorites for many years. PS: If you’ve used this before and are buying it again now, you might need a different shade – I did. Not quite convinced
I'm still trying this out, but I'm not quite convinced yet. It's supposed to be a multi-product and can be used alone as a highlighter, mixed into foundation, or as a base on the whole face for a nice glow. I don't think it's optimal for any of these purposes yet, but maybe I haven't "cracked the code". For me, it's way too glittery to use on the whole face – the particles are too big? It works fine as a highlighter, but beyond that, I'm still a bit skeptical. I've used Dior Show's liquid highlighter for this purpose before, and I have to say I still prefer it. The particles in that one are smaller and therefore give a more natural glow. Maybe it's just me not liking it being too glowy, but that's at least my experience so far. I'll test it a bit more this summer on more golden skin to see if that helps. Still good
I actually think the product should have gotten a new profile page now that the formulation has changed so much, but the product is still good. I have used All Nighter for many years, but the version produced by Scandinavia. Since they did not want to renew this agreement, they now produce All Nighter themselves – without knowing the original recipe that everyone liked for so many years (if you want the original, it is now sold under Skindinavia, so it still exists under a new brand). It should be said that I was somewhat skeptical about the new version because, based on experience, such transitions are not usually very good. This time I am not disappointed; I think the spray holds the makeup well even today. The biggest difference is not just the design but also the type of mist – it has gone from what I would have called a spray before to a mist today, so I have to apply it more times than before and closer to the face. However, less product comes out with each application now than before, so overall I don’t know how much that matters. It also smells different, but I wouldn’t say bad. The makeup stays on as well as before, but I experience that it moisturizes more, the skin doesn’t get as dry. I still get a bit shiny in the T-zone (I didn’t get that much with the previous formulation), so that’s what makes the product maybe not as good as before. But again, the ingredients are better for skin quality now, so overall it’s “same same” in my eyes. This is an expensive setting spray, so I don’t always buy this one. It is economical to use, but at the same time, there are now several sprays on the market that do the job. That’s why I don’t give 5 stars. Could be a bit cheaper. I often buy it when it’s on sale, and it should be said that you have it for a LONG time. Really like it
Feels a bit intense to use and gives a fantastic beautiful glow – I have used it with powder/bronzer/blush on top now, but I’m looking forward to using it on sun-kissed skin later this summer. It gives a very nice color, so I think it’s enough with just some kind of tinted sunscreen / BB cream and this alone. I see that many apply it with a very large brush, but I actually prefer a somewhat smaller one, so the product becomes a bit more concentrated and exactly where you want it. Have received compliments on my skin the times I’ve used it so far. I’m wearing it in the pictures, but as mentioned, in combination with a bit of powder as well. NB: always sold out everywhere, so if it’s in stock – buy! Hairspray for the face
This is simply a hairspray for the face. I actually bought it to spray on clothes and not on the face – so that makeup doesn’t settle on white shirt collars, etc. I think it’s 5/5 for this purpose and recommend it; the makeup easily beads off the collar after use if you’re unlucky enough for it to transfer at all. As a setting spray for the face, however, I would give it a lower rating, simply because it contains a lot of alcohol that dries out the skin and makes it stiff and maybe even a bit sticky. Good everyday product
I have been using this product on and off for several years, so you almost have to admit that you like it. In everyday life, I want it to be quick, and then I prefer to skip color correction and concealer and just use one simple product – and this works quite well. I apply it and let it sit on the skin for a while so it can set a bit before blending, and then it stays well. The fact that it’s a bit pink helps to hide some of the dark circles – maybe not as well as if you split it into two different steps, but good enough for everyday use.
