Very nice mist that gives a nice distribution in the hair, like a cloud with heat protection. And!! I really liked the scent, you know that feeling when you leave the hairdresser and your hair smells "hairdresser.." I get that feeling from the scent!😍 It both feels and smells luxurious! It does feel a bit in the hair, but not so much that the hair feels sticky in any way. So for me, who isn't particularly sensitive, it didn't bother me. Talk about a happy girl when I got the honor to try a GHD flat iron. I’ve really always wanted one, but never got around to buying one. But wow! I didn’t know there could be such a big difference between flat irons and flat irons. This one really glides nicely over the hair, I can really feel that the "stone" is of higher quality than I’m used to. The hair gets such a nice shine. I’ve tried using it both as a flat iron and to curl my hair with. I think it worked super well for curling, since it doesn’t "grab" the hair. I had a highly loved ghd a few years ago, but I had forgotten how GOOD these are! The straightener heats up in just a few seconds and is ready to use. It straightens the hair quickly and leaves a soft and shiny result. I love that the iron is also very rounded at the edges, as it also works well for making curls! I see that several mention it as a disadvantage that the iron doesn't have different heat settings. For me, I usually never have a higher heat than 185 degrees anyway, to protect the hair as much as possible. I was really happy to get to try this heat protectant from #ghd as #lykoinflutester! 💟 I had previously tried it at the salon and had high expectations since I thought it worked so well there. Therefore, I was extra excited to have it at home myself, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I was really super happy when I got the email about this assignment! 🙏 I use a flat iron regularly, about every other day, and have tried many different brands before, but never such a luxurious model! Therefore, it was extra exciting and fun to get to try it. I got to test some products from GHD thanks to #lykoinflutester. The one I got to test is their heat protection. At first, I was skeptical since I only buy heat protection with a dry formula these days (like dry shampoo). This is because I hate waiting for my hair to dry after spraying the product. BUT this heat protection absorbed into my hair immediately and dried in about a minute, and I took A LOT (my hair got completely wet!). That really gives the product a big plus! Then I also noticed that it has a scent that makes my hair smell freshly washed, and it lasted all day! Several people said I smelled good in my hair thanks to it! How well it protects against heat is hard to say without special tools, but what I've noticed is that it's neither worse nor better than any other heat protection I've used. About me: • Dry hair • Thin hair • Flat hair Pros: + Smells good + Protects hair + Doesn’t feel like there’s any residue on the hair after about an hour + Dries quickly Cons: - “wet” formula - Noticed that it started to smell burnt after I used a “heat tool,” but not with a flat iron or similar.. I got to test some products from GHD thanks to #lykoinflutester. The first one I got to try is their Gold Hair Straightener Professional Styler. Since I already have straight hair, I thought "what can this product even help me with?" since I consider that I have very straight hair already. But OJ, how wrong I was. This straightener straightened every single hair strand on my head in just about 3 minutes. It is extremely good and did the job at least twice as fast as all the other straighteners I have tried. I also asked my friend with curly hair to try it, and even she said it took 15 minutes instead of 35 minutes with it! Another advantage is that it only takes about 20 seconds to warm up, totally insane! I also love that you can see how tight it is between the heating plates. My old straighteners have a gap when you close them, but not this one, which I would assume explains the efficiency. One downside, however, is that you can't adjust the temperatures yourself. About me: • Dry hair • Thin hair • Straight hair • Volume-less Pros: + Straightens hair quickly + Heats up extremely fast + No gap when it is closed (picture) + Adds shine to hair and reduces frizz + Long cord! + Hair doesn't feel "damaged" afterwards Cons: - Can't adjust the temperatures yourself (but this was a very good temperature) In summary, I would definitely buy this. I have tested ghd Bodyguard - Heat Protect Spray For All Hair Types, and I must say that it really lives up to its name when it comes to protecting hair. It lays down like a light and invisible layer that protects well against heat from both straighteners, curling irons, and hair dryers. I notice a big difference between this and previous heat protectants I have tested, it seems like it actually does the job it is meant to do. It also doesn’t get sticky or form a «film» even if you use a significant amount of product on both wet and dry hair. Hair feels less dry after styling, and I get fewer split ends than before. The scent is mild, clean, and pleasant – just right. I think a heat protectant should have other focus areas than a strong scent, which I feel many others have. It pairs well with the ghd Gold straightener, hair becomes smooth, shiny, and gets a shine that looks like a salon finish. The only downside is that the bottle doesn’t last very long. You need quite a bit of spray to cover all the hair properly, and then it runs out quickly. The volume feels a bit small compared to the price, so it’s probably in the more expensive and less economical range. I am very satisfied with this straightener! It gives a nice result that I thought could only be achieved at the hairdresser – the hair becomes soft, shiny, and looks very professional. I especially like that it can be used to both straighten and curl the hair, and both turn out super nice. I was a bit skeptical at first that it only has one automatic heat setting, but it turned out to be a perfectly fine temperature. It glides easily through the hair without pulling or damaging, and I actually notice that my hair stays softer and fresher than with my old (and much cheaper) straightener – especially when I use GHD's Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray with it. I haven't noticed any wear on my hair with this straightener. My previous straightener quickly gave me split ends.. It's not enough to just have a good heat protectant – you also need a good straightener! It's also a plus that it makes a little sound when you plug it in, so you know it's ready to use. The first time I thought it turned on automatically because of the sound, but you have to hold the power button – totally fine, because it heats up in about 10 seconds anyway. Super fast and easy to use! The only downside is the price – it's quite a steep price. But I think it's an "investment" to buy such a straightener. All in all, it's a super straightener that really lives up to my expectations. This heat protector comes in a nice spray bottle that gives a thicker mist and is therefore easy to use. It covers the hair easily and quite evenly. The scent of this is absolutely amazing, it’s not too sweet or too strong. It makes the hair feel clean and gives it that little extra. The product isn’t felt in the hair at all after styling once the job of protecting it is done. Which is a big plus!! The only thing that brings it down a bit is that due to the spray giving so much product, it’s easy to use too much and soak the hair really wet which means you have to wait a bit before you can style it. I was so lucky to test this straightener from GHD. I have previously had other products from the brand that I have been incredibly satisfied with, so this was just absolutely fantastic. The straightener is sturdy, nice, has a long cord that doesn't limit you while you style your hair, and is matte and easy to hold. It has only one heat setting, and gets hot in just a few seconds. It also lets you know when it's ready for use. It comes with a "rubber" part that you can put over the top of the straightener when you're done using it, both to keep it closed, but also to block the heat if it's not completely cool when it's put away. I just have to say that this does absolutely everything you need from a straightener. It glides easily through the hair. The set temperature works well for both straightening and styling the hair. Something that is a big plus for me with thicker and long hair is that I can use slightly "thicker" sections of hair than I usually can, and it still manages to style it since the heating element on the straightener is a bit thicker and longer. I also notice that the curls hold better and longer, and that my hair feels less damaged and "burnt" after using this straightener. In other words, I highly recommend this and it has already replaced the straightener I usually use. I thought there couldn't be such a big difference between a cheap flat iron and a more expensive one, and I was satisfied with my old warrior, but OJ how wrong I was! 😱 This flat iron from #ghd is handy, light, and stylish - it takes up no space in the suitcase if you need to take it with you, and it also has a long cord which I think is great since we don't have a socket so close to the mirror, but with this one it works without an extension cord. 🙈 Besides making the hair flat and smooth, you can also curl the hair. I've seen others do it super nicely, but since I recently cut my hair a bit, I'm having trouble getting the curls since the hair kind of runs out (compared to what I'm used to), but with practice, it will surely get better! As #lykoinflutester I got to try this heat protectant from #ghd and now you’re going to read my review! 🤗 I had high expectations for this since #ghd generally has high-quality products, but unfortunately, I don’t think the heat protectant lives up to the mark. It’s a handy and nice bottle with a good spray nozzle that makes it apply evenly over the hair, but you really need to know where you have the product, because if you accidentally take more layers, I find it becomes very stiff in those spots, like patches. And when I curl my hair with a flat iron, it feels like a “chop” in those areas, which I haven’t experienced with other heat protectants. The scent is magical, you should know that! 🤤 And that’s positive, but for this price, it’s still not worth it since I use heat protectants that are significantly cheaper. So exciting to test this straightener for LYKO. Both my daughter, who is 13, and I have been testing this for a few weeks. The straightener ghd gold® is supposed to make hair shinier and smoother and make it look healthy and fresh. It has two advanced heat sensors, one in each plate that controls the styling temperature and is supposed to keep it even at an optimal 185 °C from root to tip. The straightener is experienced as very user-friendly despite inexperienced testers. It is good to work with and easy to use both for straightening hair and for making curls. ✨The first impression was that the bottle feels light and easy to handle, and the scent reminds me of a classic salon product, fresh and a bit warm. I like that it doesn't feel heavy or oily in the hair. ✨I have straight and thin hair, with some parts bleached or highlighted. Therefore, I am conscious of heat protection. The spray laid down like a light layer without making the hair greasy, and the hair felt soft after blow-drying. ✨I noticed that the straightener glided a bit less smoothly when I used the product (hence one star deducted), but the protective layer made me feel secure that my hair wouldn't get damaged.
