Freshen up the curls day two
Yesterday I posted my entire styling routine and I think you can join in on today's refresh of what we did yesterday! 🤩 The post from yesterday is among my “looks” on my profile here on Lyko social if you're curious. Besides the products used today, I also had heat protection and a little spray yesterday. Sometimes I freshen up the curls with just mousse and sometimes it becomes a whole procedure with lots of water, mousse, gelée, etc., it depends on what condition the hair is in and what I used before. I usually don’t need to do much more than what I do today when I’ve had these products, they are great! 1st test with Umberto Giannini's products
I have tested some budget brands to enhance my curls/waves, but the ones I tried haven't really lived up to expectations. Now I ordered the mousse and gel from Umberto Giannini, and the price is definitely appealing. I read that Cantus leave-in conditioner is supposed to be quite heavy, so I used it as a mix of conditioner and leave-in, meaning I didn't rinse everything out, so product was still left in my hair when I scrunched in the mousse and then the gel. I also sprayed in heat protection since it doesn't seem to be in any of the other products. Then I went over my hair with the diffuser and let the last part dry on its own. The fact is that the pictures are actually from day TVÅ. So I have slept with my hair in a loose bun on top of my head, and the only thing I did today was scrunch out the “crunchet” from the gel with a bit of hair oil (don't be afraid that the curls will be stiff from the gel, you just have to scrunch it out later. Crunchet is your friend if you, like me, don't have such strong curls 🙌🏼💕) I am impressed! I might just be having a really good hair day, but it could also be that there's a reason you hear about the products! It looks promising, and I will return with a review when I have tested it more times! You want the styling to stay pretty, here are my best tips! (Sorry. The MAGICAL product at the beginning will change everything ❤️ But we can talk about that when it finally launches 😅 Keep an eye out here soon!) I always blow-dry my hair with a cream on the lengths (softness, shine, protection, antifrizz) and a light mousse at the roots (volume, keeps flyaways under control, holds the shape longer). When it comes to blow-drying & curling, it's better to start curling at the roots rather than the tips for a more relaxed look, and let the curls cool down before you touch the hair! Get textured curls with me
How to get those messy curls. Using the latest Ghd gold 1. Section the hair 2. Heat protectant 3. Brush the heat protectant together 4. Start with the flat iron slightly angled from above to reduce edges 5. Twist the flat iron in alternating directions 6.
