Disappointed
Unfortunately, a big disappointment for me. Considering the price, it feels like wasted money. The curls don't hold at all â they fall out after about 10 minutes no matter how much product I use or how carefully I style. I've tried so many different products and watched tons of tutorials, but nothing has worked. I've also tried letting the curls sit in curlers, but that doesn't work either. The tool itself feels luxurious and is easy to use, but the results don't hold for my hair. I tried mixing a bit of Idun's mineral foundation with Lumene's Blur foundation shade 4 today since Idun's âFrejaâ is a bit light for me. They worked well together. A bit like Idun's and Lumene's CC creams also have a similar feeling, these two remind me of each other. All products have varying price ranges, but most are budget makeup brands that LYKO often has discounts on, HOW GOOD!!đ This makeup has been on since 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, would you have ever believed that? I guess not!đ Here below you see my routine step by step: 1. Moisturize the skin with Nivea cream 2. Fix the eyebrows with nyx Pencil and Got2b 3. Primer on the face from fenty beauty 4. CC cream from lumene (mixing two colors) 5. Cream bronzer from Caia or Anastasia cream bronzer or fenty cream bronzer 6. Cream blush hickap, Morphe, or another brand. 7. Concealer under the eyes, nose, chin, jaw. Concealer is from Caia or maybline. 8. Powder from Hudabeauty (Poundcake), lumene has good alternatives. 9. Powder bronzer from fenty 10. Powder blush (whichever), but Iâll link one. 11. Setting spray, Caia and hickap 12. Mascara Maybeline 13. Lashes depend 14. Eyeshadow with bronzer or nux palette 15. Setting spray 16. DIY: Brad Mondo's Sabrina Carpenter Cut
Here I show how I did it when I cut my hair and go through the different steps. You can of course also see Brad Mondo's original tutorial (search for Brad Mondo and Sabrina Carpenter), especially if you want to cut shorter curtain bangs, because I skipped that this time (it was nerve-wracking enough anywayđ ) I have cut my hair following his tutorial âbutterfly cutâ for the past year/years, but now it was time for something new! Sometimes you have time, sometimes you donât. In the latter case, this styling with the Dyson airwrap (or equivalent) is a super quick way to make it look like youâve styled and fixed it as if there was time in abundance đ€ Of course, you can do this more thoroughly, and I recommend some type of finishing spray for better hold. To improve hold, you can also benefit from some type of wet heat protectant that also gives structure before you get started. Saturday with Lancome
Yesterday I tried this foundation from Lancome. I donât buy an expensive foundation âon a whimâ but I want to test them first, and I got a little sample of this one. I like it, but honestly, it reminds me a lot of Lumeneâs Cc-cream in coverage, maybe liiiiiitle more covering but not much. The shade 220C worked well since I havenât used any BUS, but if I were to buy it, I would probably need a darker one to mix with. On my eyelids, I have a taupe/gray-purple-beige eyeshadow pencil from Danish GOSH, and it was really nice and seems to be long-lasting. It needs to be tested more! Unfortunately, it seems that this one isnât sold here at Lyko, but there are some older products available here (I assume since I bought it in Copenhagen and they should have the newest âșïž I also bought a green eyeshadow pencil, a brown âduo-cream eyeshadowâ where one is matte and the other is glittery, as well as an eyeshadow palette that I will swatch here since itâs sold at Lyko!
