DIY: Brad Mondo's Sabrina Carpenter Cut
Here I show how I did it when I cut my hair and go through the different steps. You can of course also see Brad Mondo's original tutorial (search for Brad Mondo and Sabrina Carpenter), especially if you want to cut shorter curtain bangs, because I skipped that this time (it was nerve-wracking enough anyway😅) I have cut my hair following his tutorial “butterfly cut” for the past year/years, but now it was time for something new! More layered! 🫣😁💕 It should be noted that I have very thick hair, so if you do this yourself (at your own risk of course ❤️💋), the hair may feel thinner than it looks on me afterwards (if you have thinner hair). Are you afraid to cut it yourself? As long as you BRUSH thoroughly (have very wet hair or very carefully straightened, dry hair), place the ponytails where you want them and don’t stretch the hair in the wrong angles, it’s as good as foolproof 🤗 (but again: at your own risk. I take no responsibility for what you do with your scissors 🤗) My brush is from #tangleteezer. When I styled my hair, I first used oil from #kerastase and then Fiber foam from #elenichris. I blow-dried and curled with my #dyson airwrap and had in Raise the roots from #colorwow at the roots. Spray from #rco and then a little more oil. Curls to or from the face?
Here you see the difference between when the hair is curled towards the face and away from the face. A quick styling! ✨
Sometimes you have time, sometimes you don’t. In the latter case, this styling with the Dyson airwrap (or equivalent) is a super quick way to make it look like you’ve styled and fixed it as if there was time in abundance 🤗 Of course, you can do this more thoroughly, and I recommend some type of finishing spray for better hold. To improve hold, you can also benefit from some type of wet heat protectant that also gives structure before you get started. "Beat the heat" from #bylyko has light hold, and Techni Art PLI from #lorealprofessionel is a favorite for more hold. November is coming
Christmas is my favorite holiday 🎄 Since we got our own place, I start decorating for Christmas on 1.11 ❤️ I want to enjoy the coziness until New Year's. Saturday with Lancome
Yesterday I tried this foundation from Lancome. I don’t buy an expensive foundation “on a whim” but I want to test them first, and I got a little sample of this one. I like it, but honestly, it reminds me a lot of Lumene’s Cc-cream in coverage, maybe liiiiiitle more covering but not much. The shade 220C worked well since I haven’t used any BUS, but if I were to buy it, I would probably need a darker one to mix with. On my eyelids, I have a taupe/gray-purple-beige eyeshadow pencil from Danish GOSH, and it was really nice and seems to be long-lasting. It needs to be tested more! Unfortunately, it seems that this one isn’t sold here at Lyko, but there are some older products available here (I assume since I bought it in Copenhagen and they should have the newest ☺️ I also bought a green eyeshadow pencil, a brown “duo-cream eyeshadow” where one is matte and the other is glittery, as well as an eyeshadow palette that I will swatch here since it’s sold at Lyko! I’m extra curious about the green shade in the palette (which looks more gray on Lyko’s site). I pampered myself with the fine hair mask from Shu Uemura yesterday. The vacation hair really soaked it up and felt much softer and fuller afterwards ❤️ While I was waiting for time to pass so I could meet up with the girls, I sat on the couch watching Dexter and curling my hair with the airwrap.
