Found this mascara randomly over 10 years ago and it’s the one I go back to every time. Sure, other brands have come along, but none beat this one. Do you have super straight lashes that don’t hold a curl? No problem with this. Curl your lashes, apply one coat of mascara and let it dry, apply more as you prefer and voilà! Curled lashes all day. It’s really that simple. The result is long, curled lashes that last all day. However, it doesn’t give much volume. Not only that, the mascara sticks like cement and can basically only be removed with an oil-based cleanser, sometimes not even that. I am really in love with this Max Factor creamy blush and highlighter! I often apply the blush quite high on my cheekbones and blend it towards my temples. As a Lyko Influtester, I had the opportunity to test this mascara, and I really love it, it is undoubtedly my new favorite! The mascara is very easy to apply. The brush is just the right size and flexible, which makes it easy to reach even the innermost lashes without it getting messy. The result is even and beautiful, and the lashes are nicely separated. The durability is also top-notch. The mascara stays in place all day without flaking or smudging, but still feels light on the lashes. When it's time to remove it, it's super easy, it dissolves with just warm water. However, I usually use micellar water on a cotton pad, which works perfectly. 😍👌🏽 A really good mascara that delivers both length, color, and comfort. Long drying time ⏳️
To start with, I think the packaging/tube feels cheap, it’s made of plastic. I tried curling my lashes first, but it was almost like doing it in vain since the mascara took an unusually long time to dry, which made the curl of the lashes revert back to their normal shape 😴 I still found it easy to work with and it didn’t clump easily. However, I experienced that it was on the wetter/stickier side and tended to smudge to the right and left during application 🙈 It also became difficult to wipe off what got on the skin, as the mascara took a long time to dry. Very long time actually. It wasn’t wet, but sticky for a long time. This meant that the lashes clumped together when I tried to wipe off the mascara that had gotten on the eyelid. The result is still nice, but since I have hooded eyes, this mascara is not optimal for me. It also transferred to the eyelid during the day. Facefinity all day flawless 3in1 foundation has been my companion for about 20 years and it still works. I often have two shades to adjust for the seasons. Easy to work with and gives an even result without hassle. Stays in place throughout the day, works well without powder as it dries down, but I use powder with it and it looks flawless. This mascara is a miracle! I already had another favorite mascara from a different brand and didn't think I would be convinced by anything else. But... 2000 Calorie Long Lash Era Mascara 1 Black defines my lashes so incredibly well and they become long and curled just the way I want them. Even my mom asked if I had false eyelashes. Mascara is the product I have used the most since I started using makeup. So I have had time to test "a few pieces" over the years. It has been a long time since I had one from Max Factor, so it was fun to try it again. ☺️ I was told by a friend that this one is supposed to be really good. However, the test period was a bit short. About 8 days. And I often find that it takes a while to get used to a new mascara. But I have used it daily for the past week, a little over. The brush is easy to handle. And I, who usually don’t like rubber bristle brushes, actually like this one. The application is easy and smooth. But unfortunately… That is so far the only positive. The formula/consistency of the mascara is "incredibly" watery. It hardly feels like it adheres any mascara/product to the lashes. I also find it difficult to build up any noticeably visible result after several layers. So for me, it does not deliver what it promises in results. And I can’t say that the mascara "slides off" when you try to wash it off. 🤔 So I don’t know… Probably, as I mentioned earlier, it is a bit too short of a test period. But as it feels now, I wouldn’t choose this again when it’s time to buy a new mascara. Perfect everyday mascara
As #lykoinflutester, I got to test this mascara from #maxfactor. I had the luxury of heading off on a sunny vacation just when it was time for the product test, so it had to withstand both rain and summer heat at the same time, more thorough testing than that probably won't happen! To start with, I think it was a very nice and sleek packaging for the mascara on the outside. I was also very happy when I opened it because a rubber brush is my favorite applicator for mascara. It gave just the right amount of product, was a good black shade, and felt perfectly “wet” if you understand what I mean. Some mascaras seem to be dried out even before you open them for the first time. I don't have much to cheer for my own lashes, or rather, they are there in terms of quantity, but they are light, short, and don't give any direct oomph! One stroke gave an immediate lift and worked well for everyday use🤩. It was possible to build it up a bit, but it didn't give huge volume. The length, however, was immediately noticeable that it delivered results. As I said, I have had the chance to use it in both rain and sun, and it holds up well without smudging, what I did experience was that it became dry and flaked off in small pieces after a few hours. I assume that has to do with the formula that is supposed to make it easily slide off in fibers when you wash it off. What surprised me, however, was that it could be “scratched” out of the eyes dry, and it flaked off easily, but when I actually wanted to wash it off with just warm water, which is supposed to work, it did exactly like other mascaras and turned gray/black under the eyes, which was hard to remove without any form of cleansing. So instead, I had to rub properly and eventually resort to taking out my cleansing anyway. Summary: - nice design - easy to apply - gives immediate good length - does not settle under the eyes or run off in its entirety. - does not start to run off in the rain. - becomes dry and starts to flake - is not as easy to wash off as it claims - does not give volume if that is what you are looking for in a mascara. Price-wise, definitely worth it, I would say. Neither the most expensive nor the cheapest on the market, and it holds most of what it promises. Even though it’s a bit disappointing that it becomes so dry and flakes off by the afternoon, I prefer that over a formula that just runs off and settles as streaks or larger color spots under the eyes. Overall, a mascara I can recommend and will use again! 👌 Picture 1: top without mascara, middle after one application, bottom after stroke number 2.
