Mascara is the product I have used the most since I started using makeup. So I have had time to test "a few pieces" over the years. It has been a long time since I had one from Max Factor, so it was fun to try it again. ☺️ I was told by a friend that this one is supposed to be really good. However, the test period was a bit short. About 8 days. And I often find that it takes a while to get used to a new mascara. But I have used it daily for the past week, a little over. The brush is easy to handle. And I, who usually don’t like rubber bristle brushes, actually like this one. The application is easy and smooth. But unfortunately… That is so far the only positive. The formula/consistency of the mascara is "incredibly" watery. It hardly feels like it adheres any mascara/product to the lashes. I also find it difficult to build up any noticeably visible result after several layers. So for me, it does not deliver what it promises in results. And I can’t say that the mascara "slides off" when you try to wash it off. 🤔 So I don’t know… Probably, as I mentioned earlier, it is a bit too short of a test period. But as it feels now, I wouldn’t choose this again when it’s time to buy a new mascara. Perfect everyday mascara
As #lykoinflutester, I got to test this mascara from #maxfactor. I had the luxury of heading off on a sunny vacation just when it was time for the product test, so it had to withstand both rain and summer heat at the same time, more thorough testing than that probably won't happen! To start with, I think it was a very nice and sleek packaging for the mascara on the outside. I was also very happy when I opened it because a rubber brush is my favorite applicator for mascara. It gave just the right amount of product, was a good black shade, and felt perfectly “wet” if you understand what I mean. Some mascaras seem to be dried out even before you open them for the first time. I don't have much to cheer for my own lashes, or rather, they are there in terms of quantity, but they are light, short, and don't give any direct oomph! One stroke gave an immediate lift and worked well for everyday use🤩. It was possible to build it up a bit, but it didn't give huge volume. The length, however, was immediately noticeable that it delivered results. As I said, I have had the chance to use it in both rain and sun, and it holds up well without smudging, what I did experience was that it became dry and flaked off in small pieces after a few hours. I assume that has to do with the formula that is supposed to make it easily slide off in fibers when you wash it off. What surprised me, however, was that it could be “scratched” out of the eyes dry, and it flaked off easily, but when I actually wanted to wash it off with just warm water, which is supposed to work, it did exactly like other mascaras and turned gray/black under the eyes, which was hard to remove without any form of cleansing. So instead, I had to rub properly and eventually resort to taking out my cleansing anyway. Summary: - nice design - easy to apply - gives immediate good length - does not settle under the eyes or run off in its entirety. - does not start to run off in the rain. - becomes dry and starts to flake - is not as easy to wash off as it claims - does not give volume if that is what you are looking for in a mascara. Price-wise, definitely worth it, I would say. Neither the most expensive nor the cheapest on the market, and it holds most of what it promises. Even though it’s a bit disappointing that it becomes so dry and flakes off by the afternoon, I prefer that over a formula that just runs off and settles as streaks or larger color spots under the eyes. I have been testing this mascara for about 1 week, and below is my review 🌸 My lashes have been nonexistent for a longer time after several years of using false lashes, and it is rare that mascara works well for me. I have stuck to the same mascara for several years and have not tested any other until now, and I am positively surprised. 🩷PLUS - Good price - Easy to apply - Doesn't flake, and I find that it holds very well throughout the day - A big plus is that it is very easy to remove. A little warmer water during removal and it disappears as easily as anything. 🩷MINUS - I have slightly sensitive eyes, and I find that this can sting a little during application. However, this may be because my eyes have gotten used to another mascara and not the product itself - I find the brush to be a tad too wide, but nothing that I think lowers the rating 🩷 GENERAL OPINIONS I am very impressed and satisfied with this mascara, and I am so glad that I got to test this! I have tried the Max Factor Long Lash Era Mascara and think it gives very nice length and separates the lashes beautifully. The result is natural and light, and I think it stays well all day without flaking or smudging. Personally, I do miss a bit of fullness, as I prefer mascaras that provide both length and volume. Here we have a mascara that focuses on length, we are promised visually longer lashes, it should be easy to wash off and should not smudge during the day. And I think now after testing this for a few weeks, that it almost lives up to what it promises. I love this type of brush on mascaras, I always choose a mascara focused on length, so for me it fits super well to have gotten to test this one. It is a really deep black shade that gives a defined lash line with long, beautiful separated lashes. Super good in every way! But then we come to durability, and unfortunately I think it smudges a bit on the eyelids during the day (that's a problem I have with the majority of mascaras, so I don't know if it's my fault or the mascara's 😂), but also that it requires quite a bit more than warm water to get it off. I think it behaves a bit like a waterproof mascara when washing, it takes a bit of work. In collaboration with #lykoinflutester, I got to try a really good mascara from #maxfactor. An amazing mascara, especially for us with very short lashes that need all the help we can get!! It works just as well with a thin layer as it does built up for more effect. Holds nicely throughout the day and flakes minimally. The brush has a good shape that provides good control during application, which is appreciated. However, it doesn't quite reach favorite status as it is somewhat harder to wash off. Even though it promises to come off in fibers, more rubbing is required than desired, which easily leaves black residue under the eyes. Here we are talking about defined and flirty long lashes! I received the #maxfactor Long Lash Era mascara in collaboration with my #lykoinflutester project. A mascara that gives each lash maximum length! ☁️ MY LASHES I have always had long lashes naturally and don’t really need to add much length to my lashes. I usually prefer a makeup look without any mascara at all, but when I use mascara, I almost always choose a lengthening mascara (which usually clumps less) that gives a natural result. However, my lashes lack fullness and always "lay down" with a classic mascara, the lashes become too heavy. ☁️ RESULT Wow! This is the best mascara I have tested so far. The brush catches every lash thanks to the rubber brush with small short "spikes". The brush helps to comb out the lashes, which means it doesn’t leave any clumps behind! Long Lash Era is not too heavy for my lashes, and I can even build layer upon layer without the lashes laying down at once or throughout the day. I like the minimal bend of the brush that follows the natural shape of the eye, easy to apply. I will definitely continue to use this mascara, both for everyday and special occasions! Incredibly easy to wash off with warm water 💌 ☁️ PLUS Defines every lash thanks to the rubber brush. The minimally curved brush follows the natural shape of the eye. The brush catches every lash. Could this be my first negative review as #lykoinflutester ... This mascara from #maxfactor promises to give 50% longer lashes, hold all day without smudging, be removed with warm water, and have a lifting and lengthening texture (whatever that means?) The only thing I can agree on is that it holds all day without smudging. But longer lashes and only removed with warm water 💦... hmm.. I don’t think my lashes got longer, and there wasn’t much mascara on the lashes either. It just didn’t grip the lashes, if you know what I mean. When I washed it off with warm water, it was like any regular mascara. It smeared out and didn’t come off at all like other tubing mascaras. Who knows, this might work super well for others! I had the honor of testing this mascara as an Influtester 💖 The mascara gives an intense black color and long beautiful lashes ✨ The brush is good for separating the lashes and is easy to reach everywhere without smudging. Incredible durability throughout the day and stayed in place even when I found myself in the middle of a rainstorm 😊 Sometimes there are tiny flakes that fall down, but this is after a whole day of use. Otherwise, I am impressed with how well it stays in place! The only downside is that I find it sometimes sits so well that it’s a bit hard to wash off 😆 It should come off with warm water, which it does, but I had to struggle a bit. However, I’d rather that than it smudging or clumping. As an influencer tester for Lyko, I have now tested the 2000 Calorie Long Lash Era Mascara 1 Black 🖤 A fiber mascara that is supposed to give up to 50% longer lashes, be easy to remove, and be smudge-free. 💁♀️ My first impression of the mascara was that the packaging was nice, simple, and I liked the brush (I’m quite picky about that) Easy to work with and didn’t make the lashes clumpy, which is a big plus. The color is really black and the result is good every time! 😍💁♀️✨ I am constantly on the hunt for the perfect mascara and have tested many, this one was very good, easy to apply, and gave a nice result! I thought the lashes looked long and pretty, but unfortunately, I got black on my eyelids (a common problem I have that I don’t like), but other than that, I have nothing to complain about. A budget mascara that holds up, I think, the only downside is that it smudges on the eyelid, but most mascaras do that for me, both budget and more expensive ones. Here you get to see pictures of a tired new twin mom, so feel free to ignore my dark circles under my eyes 🙈 So fun to get to try this mascara, and when I opened the product and saw the brush, I was positively surprised as it is a brush I usually like! I like when the mascara gives a "natural" result with separated and long lashes, it can also be brown since I don't like such defined eyes on myself. I think I get that result with just one layer of this, but when I try to build up with more, the lashes unfortunately become very clumpy. I also experience that it falls down during the day and I get quite dark under my eyes. Good formula, but maybe not for me!
I have been tasked as #lykoinflutester to test this mascara news from #maxfactor 👸 Their regular 2000 calorie mascara has been a long-standing favorite of mine for many years, and I was therefore super happy when this version landed in my mailbox! It has a nice pink packaging, a bit more playful than the original but still quite sleek. The brush is quite small and made of silicone (?), which unfortunately doesn't suit me very well. However, it is curved, which I do like. My lashes are naturally quite long, but not as thick as I wish, and I usually don't buy mascaras that are meant to lengthen lashes but rather focus on volume mascaras with a "pipe cleaner brush". This one unfortunately makes my lashes look like long-legged spiders 😂 🕷️ But I want to clarify that this does not (!) mean that it is bad, just that there are others that suit my lashes better. Aside from it not being a perfect fit for me, I can’t say anything other than that it delivers what it promises! One that easily separates the lashes and makes it easy to paint a slightly more "natural" look with one application. This time as a lykoinfluencer, I received the Max Factor 2000 Calorie, Long Lash Era Mascara to test. I just have to say wow! What a great mascara! ✨️ Nice brush with good bend that makes it easy to apply. No mess or other hassle. Thanks to the brush's fine "bristles", the lashes are well separated. 🫧 Dries very quickly. Can be both pros and cons. Pro if you're on the go and want nice lashes with minimal effort. Con if you want to spend a little extra time for optimal length and volume. ✨️ Gives fantastic results! Long beautiful lashes that last all day. The only thing I sometimes miss is the volume, but then the solution is to complement with a volumizing mascara as a base, so you get both volume and length. 🫧 Doesn't flake at all, the lashes are just as beautiful after a whole day as they were at application.
