Not for me
I have been able to test this concealer from Nars for a few weeks now… and unfortunately, this is not for me. I would say my skin is quite normal and I very rarely have issues with products not working for me. To start with, I prefer concealers that come in a "tube" with an applicator, I find it easier to use than when it comes like this in a jar. When it comes to the product itself, it is thick in consistency, which means it covers well and can give a nice highlighter effect under the eyes. BUT I can't get it to work under my eyes, it settles directly into the fine lines (which they also claim shouldn't happen) and I look super dry and cakey. However, I think it works well on other areas. Like on the forehead, for example. I have tested applying it both with a brush, sponge, and my fingers. The absolute best result is with my fingers, but I don't like applying product with my fingers and getting sticky, so I gladly let that be 😅 Showing results with a close-up of how it looks under my eyes after application. So to summarize: not for my skin. It gets dry and cakey under the eyes but works well on other areas! It gives a nice coverage when it works well. Incredible!
Wow wow wow!! This is an incredible highlighter that Nars has really nailed. To start with, the packaging is very pretty and sleek, and it's so nice that the brand is printed in the product! The color is incredibly beautiful, I would say a mix of champagne and light gold. I was a bit worried at first when I saw it that the color would be too dark, but that is absolutely not a problem. It just leaves a warm shimmer on the skin with a little light glitter. The product is easy to apply and lays down very nicely, melting into the skin right away. I don't think it emphasizes pores or anything like that at all. It leaves an incredible shimmer that can be built up so it can work for both everyday and party! I also think it's incredibly pretty to have as a shimmer on the eyes. So to summarize: WOW! One of the prettiest highlighters I've tried. So pretty on and easy to use. I’ve had the chance to test this multi-stick from Nars for a few weeks. This stick is made to work for cheeks, eyes, and lips! However, I’ve preferred to mostly use it as a blush stick. To start with the product itself, I think the packaging is beautiful and sleek! It looks very luxurious. The color is also incredibly nice, just the kind of pink shade I love for blush. When it comes to application, the product isn’t very pigmented, but you have to build it up. Which everyone has different opinions about, some like it and some want pigmentation right away - I have no problem building it up myself! I’ve tried applying it in different ways, directly on the skin, on a brush, before powder and after powder to really put it to the test. I’ve preferred to put the product on a brush and then on the skin… and believe it or not, but I also think you get the best pigmentation and the prettiest result if you’ve powdered your face first! In the video I’ve attached, my face is powdered, and I think you can see the product so much more. Using a dense brush to pick up a lot of product helps too. For me, it’s actually a big NO NO to put cream over powder, but it actually works really well with this product!! Once you’ve found your tricks to get it applied best, I think it’s really pretty! It lays evenly and nicely on the skin and lasts all day without disappearing. The color is amazing and I think it suits most makeup looks. So to summarize: I like it! I received both the shampoo and conditioner from Olaplex to test, so fun that this is such a talked-about brand! I have actually tested these products before, I used them a lot many years ago! So I have opinions both as a first impression and as a long-time user. When I first tested these products, my hair was bleached, so I have now been able to test it with damaged and bleached hair, and now also with healthy and natural hair. To describe my hair, it is very thin, but with many hair strands. It can also get very oily quickly, especially now that I have just gone from constantly bleaching my hair to now having my natural hair color. So to the product, the bottle is just like the shampoo very minimalist. I think they look very professional - just like they don’t need funny bottles to attract buyers! The product is very concentrated, you don’t need much to last for the hair, which is incredibly good! The conditioner is easy to use and easy to rinse out of the hair, you don’t notice any residue in the hair when you come out of the shower! When the hair is washed and dry, it feels sooooo smooth and manageable! It feels almost like you just came from the hairdresser. The hair gets a nice shine and is very easy to brush through, there are no big tangles that you have to struggle with. I really like this conditioner! The hair feels so healthy, smooth, and manageable. I have previously had problems with the shampoo not working as well after using it for a long time, but I have always loved the conditioner! When you finally come out of the shower and the hair is dry, it is SO smooth!! You get a nice shine, it is manageable and looks clean and healthy. I think the hair stays clean for a long time and feels good between washes. The product works incredibly well, BUT what I experienced the first time I used the product is that it works really well but when I used the product for a long time, I felt that my hair became very oily easily and the product didn’t work as well anymore. I then switched shampoo and have since always alternated between different shampoos so that my hair doesn’t just “get used” to one. For now, when I test this shampoo again, it works incredibly well! I think maybe my hair doesn’t like to always have the same products, but needs a little change. So to summarize: very good shampoo! Makes the hair clean, smooth, and feels healthy. For me, it hasn’t worked to use it for a longer time, but I need to use other products in between (it could be that this applies to all shampoos, and not just this one). The product is very concentrated and lasts a long time. So a top product! I have had the honor of testing this incredible perfume from YSL for a few weeks, and I have absolutely found a new favorite! When it comes to me and my taste in perfumes, I prefer a bit spicier scents. I like a fragrance that makes me feel strong and edgy, and I think this scent does that! First and foremost, I think the bottle is absolutely incredible. It is so sleek and beautiful, and it really feels luxurious. The spray is also really good and gives a nice mist. When it comes to the scent, they describe it themselves as bold and empowering (I absolutely agree!) and the prominent notes are lavender, orange blossom, and musk. I’m not great at describing scents myself, but if I had to put my own words to it, I think it is both sweet and spicy at the same time. You can feel the floral scent, but it is really bold and has a bit of a kick (in a good way!). It feels both feminine and strong. I think this perfume is suitable for many occasions and all seasons, but I mostly use it as an evening scent, where I really think it shines. Once you’ve put on the perfume, it sticks like glue! You can smell the fragrance long after application, and you don’t need to reapply. That’s a big plus! I’ve received so many compliments when I’ve worn this. So a final result: incredible perfume! I have heard a lot about this talked-about product for a long time and have been so excited to try it!! And I can really understand the hype around this product. This miracle spray should be used on towel-dried hair and then blow-dried to activate it. It should then help against frizz and give the hair shine and last up to 4 washes. I have fine and thin Scandinavian hair that has previously been heavily colored and bleached, but I have now let it grow out to my natural hair color and am trying to get my hair healthy again. As for the product itself, I really like the bottle, I think it is sleek and pretty, and it also has an incredible spray function! It sprays the product out nicely and evenly, making it easy to distribute in the hair. I have seen everywhere that everyone says to use plenty of product, so I have sectioned my hair and sprayed a lot! It can feel a bit like that when you use it, that you have to use so much, but when you think about the fact that it lasts so many washes, it still feels okay. You don't notice the product in your hair at all, it doesn't weigh it down or make it feel greasy. It's then super easy to activate the product by blow-drying the hair, and you can immediately see the results!! The hair becomes so smooth and not at all frizzy and SOOO smooth!! It's hard to stop running your fingers through the hair. HOWEVER, I don't find that the results last for 3-4 washes, more like 2. But that doesn't bother me too much, I think it's crazy enough that it even lasts for one wash?? 😅 So to summarize the product: a MIRACLE!! If you want smooth and fine hair that stays flat in all weather, then this is the product for you. A super spray that makes it easy to apply, and the result is wonderful. This product is truly a hero in a tube! I was so surprised at how good my hair felt already after the first use. This product is supposed to work both as a hair mask and as a leave-in cream, but since I have very thin and fine hair, I have only used it as a mask that is rinsed out since it is recommended as a leave-in cream for thicker and drier hair. They also say that you can replace this product with conditioner, so I have done that and it has worked super! I have tried using it every hair wash as a conditioner and also using it as a hair mask some showers and finishing with conditioner, as I would have done with a regular wash. But I actually prefer to use it as a conditioner, you really don’t need any “regular” conditioner afterwards, it gets the job done! The hair is left moisturized, shiny, and looks so healthy. I have quite a few split ends and can easily get dry and frizzy at the ends, but I feel that it completely disappears with this! Split ends are of course still there, but they don’t feel dry and are not nearly as visible. It feels almost like you’ve been to the hairdresser after a wash! 🤩 I am very excited to continue using this product and see how the hair will develop and feel after a longer time. This shampoo really exceeded all my expectations! I have typically Scandinavian and thin hair, and my scalp gets very oily very easily, usually stays clean for a maximum of 2 days, with some shampoos only one day. But with this shampoo, my hair is completely clean for 3 days! Besides making the hair clean, it also becomes soft, manageable, and feels moisturized. I wash my hair 2 times a week and always shampoo 2 times in the shower. During the second shampooing, this shampoo lathers up really well, and you get far with a little product! Besides the product being good, I also LOVE the packaging, I really appreciate that it has a pump! So easy to deal with when you’re standing with wet hands in the shower. The only negative I’ve experienced with this product is the scent, unfortunately, I don’t like it at all... hard to explain how it smells, but I think it’s almost a bit "old lady" in scent 😬 But all in all, an absolutely incredible shampoo that I will definitely continue to use! I had the honor of testing this tinted sunscreen, and I was so excited since I’ve heard so much about it on social media! And the first impression was so good, a perfect product for summer! To start with, I’ll tell a bit about my skin type. I would say that I’m quite normal in my skin, can sometimes in the summer get a bit oilier and in the winter a bit drier.. but overall I don’t have any major issues with it. I can sometimes get a few pimples here and there. This sunscreen is supposed to give a light tint while feeling like skincare, and I really agree with that! When you apply the product to the skin, it’s very light and runny, a bit like a serum. The product is super easy to blend into the skin and doesn’t feel sticky at all, but sinks in easily and quickly. I’ve preferred to use a brush to apply the product, especially if I’m going to use it as a makeup product, but it also works excellently to use with my hands! I thought it was a bit hard to choose a color since it wasn’t the same “D, W, N” that I’m used to, and I accidentally ordered one that was cool in tone even though I’m warm. But since the product has such light coverage, it didn’t matter and wasn’t noticeable! I also chose to go for a slightly darker color than what suits my skin tone since I usually get more color on my body than my face in the summer. Upon application, you get an incredible glow! So lovely to have without makeup but also gives an incredible base for makeup as the glow shines through. I’ve used the product both as regular sunscreen and also as a replacement for foundation and have liked both but have preferred to wear it with makeup! I think it gives a perfect summer base to just have this, concealer, and cream products. It gives a light coverage but makes the skin glow. I haven’t experienced the product stinging my eyes, which is a big plus! I can sometimes have that problem with facial sunscreen that it stings my eyes when the product “melts” and runs down my face, but that hasn’t happened at all with this one. I also haven’t experienced getting any pimples, and it hasn’t settled into pores. So for a summary, incredible summer product! Perfect for feeling a bit fresh when you don’t have makeup on, but also perfect to use as a base for makeup. Gives an incredible glow and my skin has really liked it. If there had been a little more coverage in the product, it would have been a 5/5, but now it gets a strong 4!
