Strong scent that doesn't suit me
I tried this scent from Rebecca Stella and quickly realized that unfortunately it’s not for me. The scent is strong and floral and almost stings my nose as I prefer softer scents. No shade to my grandma, but it reminds me of her and her perfumes. That’s why I feel a bit old-fashioned in this scent😂 my boyfriend isn’t a big fan of it either. You get quite a bit of product with each spray and the “stream” is quite hard. Therefore, it’s not possible to just take a little, which also contributes to it just smelling strong instead of good. I actually prefer to use it as a scent spray in the bathroom rather than on my body 😬 The bottle is cute and the packaging is nice. But that’s actually where the positive qualities end. Keep in mind that it has a lot to do with the fact that I personally don’t like the scent, for someone else it might suit them better! #lykoinflutester #rebeccastella1 product in post Strong scent that doesn't suit me667 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. For little bang for the buck
I have tested this serum for a few weeks, and I want to start by being honest and say that I find it very difficult to make a fair review of skincare products. This is because there are so many other things that affect the condition of the skin, such as diet, sleep, hormones, stress, and weather changes, for example. What I can say something about, however, is of course the formula and the packaging! I really like that it comes with a pipette that is also angled at the bottom, which makes it very easy to apply and adjust the amount without having to contaminate the jar/bottle or the pipette with your hands and risk adding bacteria. You don’t need much product, just three very small drops (one on the forehead and one on each cheek) have been more than enough, I think. The formula is a bit thicker and more viscous than, for example, a toner or watery serum. It is also not completely clear but more cloudy. I find it a bit confusing and misleading that it says "night repair" on the bottle, as it states both "am" and "pm" on the back and in the description that you can/should use it both morning and night. About the same time I started using this serum, I had an outbreak of pimples on my forehead and big problems with very oily and greasy skin. However, I have no idea if it’s due to the serum or something else, considering what I described above. I usually get more pimples once a month (probably hormonal, of course), but it has been a long time since it was this bad. I continued to use the product, but not as often, and after a few days up to a week, it calmed down. I don’t know if the product maybe needed an adjustment period and that there was some kind of detox, or if it simply just depended on something else. Normally, I have combination skin and tend to get a bit oily in the T-zone. Sometimes I wake up with a very oily forehead after applying the serum in the evening, and sometimes I wake up with balanced skin and a nice glow. Maybe it has to do with how much I apply? Worth mentioning is perhaps that I have another product from Estee Lauder that also makes me very oily on the forehead. The serum absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel sticky. I use it after a hydrating toner and before my face cream. It smells quite a bit, but not necessarily bad. The scent reminds me of a C-vitamin serum I used before that had about the same consistency, but nothing is mentioned here about C-vitamin as far as I can understand, so it’s unclear what it is that smells. As for results? Yes, I actually don’t dare to say much about it in reference to what I started with and considering that I have only tested it for a few weeks. I see tendencies for a more even skin tone and more glow, but at the same time, the skin remains quite unbalanced with a pimple popping up here and there despite being in my 25s. What is clear, however, is that I don’t see such a magical difference that I would pay 1450kr to buy it again, but I will absolutely continue to use it until it’s finished! If it had been cheaper, it would have felt more worth the price, but the high price actually brings down the rating in this case. #lykoinflutester #esteelauder1 product in post For little bang for the buck203 views - The post was made 2 weeksRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Really good, but too short cord
My first impression of it was that it feels incredibly luxurious. It feels solid and stable without being too heavy and bulky. There’s also touch on the screen which adds to the luxury feel. The size is just right to feel sufficiently large (so you don’t have to keep adjusting your position and angling it around your face to see yourself), but still not too cumbersome. Maybe it could have been a little smaller, because now I’m not really sure where to store it😂 The most important thing is of course the light, and this mirror gives a really, really good light without glaring. There are a total of three different types of light (one cold and white, one warmer and a bit yellower, and a setting in between). It can also be dimmed! A pretty big downside is unfortunately that the cord is very short. I don’t have a makeup table or desk that I do my makeup at, but usually hang out at the bathroom mirror. With this mirror, I could have temporarily moved to the dining table for example and sit down in peace, but even though I have a wall outlet only about 1 meter from the table, it only works if the mirror is standing right on the edge of the dining table. The cord is estimated to be about 1.5m long, which means it still isn’t as portable and convenient as it could have been. Therefore, it fits best for you who already have a makeup table directly against the wall by an outlet. It was hard to capture the dimmer function on film as the mobile camera adjusts to the light. I’ll upload a video of the chair that stands in front of the mirror where the light changes are a bit clearer to see! #lykoinflutester #bylyko1 product in post Really good, but too short cord1725 views - The post was made 1 monthRating: 2 out of 5Verifierad testare
Unfortunately(!!) not for me💔
I got to try this Setting Spray from Fenty Beauty, and my experience with it is that there is potential for it to be a really good product, but unfortunately it just didn't suit me optimally. To start with, I rarely wear makeup and very little. I can imagine that you get more out of the product's functions if you use more foundation and other makeup. I personally use a maximum of a thin layer of BB cream at its height and a little bronzer/rouge. I have used the spray over just primer, tinted sunscreen, or BB cream as well as cream bronzer and blush. There I absolutely experience that the makeup's longevity is good, especially considering that I haven't even used powder. However, it probably doesn't quite suit my skin type unfortunately. I have combination/oily skin, and this lays almost like a shiny film on the makeup. It makes me just look oily in the skin, I think. It’s like it continues to look wet even after the spray has dried in. The skin then feels a bit sticky, but not in a “sticky” way, rather like a glass surface. The formula is light and pleasant. It creates very small droplets that distribute evenly. That it’s a metal bottle feels nice, but unfortunately it had gotten a small dent during delivery. A slightly strange scent brings the rating down a bit, but otherwise I find this to be a really good product that just doesn't suit me! I’m posting a video where you can see the finish. Look especially at the T-zone and chin, and you’ll surely understand what I mean by looking oily. Dry skin types will surely love this!🫶🏼 #lykoinflutester #fentybeauty1 product in post Unfortunately(!!) not for me💔356 views - The post was made 1 monthRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Smoothing and lovely
I got to test this primer from Fenty Beauty and my first impression was of course that it was a very lovely bottle! The content is just as purple as the mascaras you see from the outside, and the product even shapes itself almost the same when you pump it out! The formula is about like a lotion but maybe a liiitle bit on the gel side. It’s not sticky at all like I’m used to with many other primers. When you pat/rub it in, it feels more like a regular face cream than you clearly experience the grip. My experience is that the primer mainly seems to smooth out the texture on the face. I have a few bumps on my cheeks and feel that my skin feels a bit smoother. One pump is enough for the whole face! I wear very little makeup and rarely, so I don’t know how it holds up when using many layers and thicker layers of foundation etc. I usually use a thin layer of BB cream or tinted sunscreen, but still get a nice and even result with glow. I have combination/oily skin, so the mattifying effect might have worked even better for me. The longevity gets an absolute thumbs up. In combination with the setting spray I also got to test, the makeup looked reasonably good after 12 hours consisting of a workday partially outdoors and a workout at the gym. Unfortunately, it is a bit on the pricier side, so I don’t think I would buy it again, but for someone who wears makeup more and more often, it might be worth it! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #FENTYBEAUTY1 product in post Smoothing and lovely373 views - The post was made 1 monthRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Pretty color and gloss!
I got to try this lip gloss that smells like candy🍬🍬 it's such a pretty color with a lovely gloss. The best part is that the color is so natural, and it's almost like I feel it just enhances my own lip color? Maybe I just got really lucky with the shade, but it suits me as I like to have something discreet on my lips if I'm going to wear anything at all. I have a tendency to "rub" my lips together way too much when I have lip products on, which makes it easily look messy and smeared outside the lips. This one was so natural though that it barely showed outside! Big plus! The lip gloss also gives a lovely soft finish. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay on that well as pretty much all the gloss was gone after a meal💔 A bit on the pricey side for me unfortunately, but otherwise I really like it! #lykoinflutester #fentybeauty1 product in post Pretty color and gloss!718 views - The post was made 4 monthsRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
This sunscreen replaces my foundation in summer
This tinted sunscreen has quickly become a favorite in my skincare routine. The formula is thin and light, glides easily on the skin, and leaves no sticky feeling. Even though I have a somewhat oily skin type, I find that it actually helps to keep me more matte throughout the day, which is a big plus. Sometimes I can feel my skin tightening a bit and becoming slightly dry, but I really prefer that over it getting even oilier than necessary in the heat. Oil-balancing was exactly what I needed this hot summer 🤝 The color is not very covering but evening, especially when I am a bit paler – then it gives a nice tone and a more even impression. Now that I have a bit of color after summer, I don’t notice much difference in skin tone, but it still blends in very nicely and gives a natural result. I have used it both for everyday and for more festive occasions, sometimes instead of foundation, and it looks great all day. That it also contains SPF 30 feels safe and above all nice to not have to think about which sunscreen and which makeup base go together. In summary, it is a light, comfortable, and versatile sunscreen that is perfect for both everyday use and when you want a more natural makeup base with sun protection. Lastly, it’s also not overly expensive! I could definitely see myself buying more of this. #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon1 product in post This sunscreen replaces my foundation in summer - The post was made 5 monthsRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Lived up to expectations
I have used Estrid for several years and since then I have actually never used shaving cream/foam, until I got the chance to try this as an influencer! I have used it on my shins while shaving and am very satisfied. The skin feels very soft, smooth, and moisturized after shaving. Itchy and dry legs are a thing of the past even though I don’t moisturize afterwards! I usually don’t have problems with so many ingrown hairs on my legs, so I can’t make any comparisons there unfortunately. It lathers well and you don’t need a lot of product. A dollop equivalent to about a tablespoon I find is enough for both legs. However, the legs shouldn’t be too wet, because then it hardly lathers at all. You have to turn off the shower for a while and let the water run off before applying. The downside is, as with all shaving creams, that it becomes harder to see and feel where you have shaved. Everything gets quite messy and you have to rinse off the cream thoroughly to feel if you missed anywhere. Regarding the packaging, it is quite large and bulky, and it was quite difficult to push down the pump, or whatever you want to call it. Since I am not used to using shaving cream, it is hard to make any further comparisons of how this product compares to others in the same category, but it will get three stars for meeting expectations! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #ESTRID1 product in post Lived up to expectations848 views - The post was made 5 monthsRating: 2 out of 5Verifierad testare
Special scent
I have been testing Estrid's antiperspirant for about a month now, and I have had very mixed opinions and perceptions that have changed over time. My first impression was that it had a very special scent. It doesn't smell floral and fresh like I'm used to, but from the beginning, I thought it smelled more grassy. It was uncomfortable to wear it since I didn't really like the scent, but I must say that it has grown on me. Now I have gotten used to it and almost think it smells good sometimes. But, it would have been more fun if I really loved the scent of course. Sometimes I have experienced that it has intensified my sweat smell, and sometimes I think it smells good and fresh. Maybe it depends on how thoroughly I washed myself beforehand, I actually don't know. Regarding the formula itself, it is very thin and light and actually feels hardly on the skin when applied. It sticks a little for a while but doesn't get nearly as wet as comparable products can sometimes be, unless you apply a lot of it. In the description, it says that it should protect for 48 hours against sweat and odor, but I can't really agree with that unfortunately. One time I put on a satin top after showering and applying this, and got sooooo big sweat rings (hot day) that don't come off that material. That was a bit sad since I was at a party. The scent also doesn't last for 48 hours. For example, last night I showered and applied antiperspirant, but when I woke up in the morning, I still felt like I needed to wash myself again. However, they keep the promise that it should be soothing. No itching or stinging despite freshly shaved skin in the armpit. I like the concept of a refillable product, as it saves unnecessary plastic or glass from buying the entire packaging completely new every time. It was also reasonably easy to assemble it. However, I think it is unnecessarily expensive. I will not continue to pay 75kr for each refill to keep using it, it is unfortunately not worth it! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #ESTRID1 product in post Special scent825 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. Convenient with product in the actual blade
I have been using Estrid for several years now and am overall satisfied. The best thing about Estrid is the product that is around the actual razor blade, which seems to be caring and soothing on the skin. I have actually never used shaving cream before, but the blade itself and maybe a little soap is enough. For the legs and armpits, it works fairly well if I moisturize afterwards, but not as well in the intimate area. I almost always get ingrown hairs and razorbumps there despite Estrid, even though it gets a little better if I moisturize thoroughly with, for example, oil afterwards. I have quite coarse and dark hair, but I haven't found it to be a bigger problem to remove all the hair. Aside from around the ankles, where it seems impossible to reach everywhere in a good way. The downside is that the product disappears quite quickly from the blade. There is a very big difference between the first and third or fourth use. From the beginning when I used Estrid, I didn't experience this problem, but it came when they changed the blades from blue to yellow. Unfortunately, I think they have cut costs for production, which negatively affects the product. Another downside is that the product also disappears quite quickly if the razor is hanging on the wall in the shower and gets wet. If you have the plastic cover on, it instead forms clumps and mess, which when it dries makes the blade uneven and impossible to reach with the actual razor blades evenly on the body. The blades, however, stay sharp, and I have probably never experienced cutting myself or similar due to it becoming dull, even though I have used the blade significantly longer than recommended at times. Overall, I am satisfied, even though there is more to wish for! The pictures show a new razor blade and a used one. #lykoinflutester #estrid1 product in post Convenient with product in the actual blade782 views
