kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale is one of those products I’ve had in my beauty routine forever. As you can see, my bottle is from the old design – and that says a lot about how long it’s been faithfully sitting on my bathroom shelf 🤭 But wow, how good it has been. A few drops in the lengths and the hair instantly feels softer, shinier, and more well cared for without feeling heavy or oily. Above all, I’ve loved it as a final finish when the hair needs a little extra shine and love. Now Kérastase has revamped both the packaging and actually updated the formula. The new bottle is also refillable and the new version contains, among other things, French camellia oil. And the shine then… ✨ This is how my hair looks after use. I have tried SENSAI Dual Essence and this is truly a product that makes the skincare routine a bit more luxurious. It is a two-phase elixir where oil meets essence. I have tried L’Oréal Paris True Match Hyaluron Tinted Balm via Smartson and I am really positively surprised! 💜 It gives a natural, hydrated result with a nice glow and feels light on the skin – perfect when I want a lighter base during the summer. It also comes with a handy applicator sponge and a built-in mirror, making it easy to touch up on the go. I noticed that the color looked darker in the packaging than it did on the skin, so my tip is to test the shade directly on the skin before buying. The idea is to complement beauty care from within, focusing on skin, hair, and nails – and I really like the combination of a well-thought-out content and a format that is so easy to incorporate into everyday life. For me, it feels like a nice complement to the skin and hair care I already use externally. But what surprised me the most is actually the taste. It gives the whole product a smooth and well-thought-out feel. When it comes to visible changes in skin, hair, and nails, I want to give the product the time it deserves. I was really looking forward to The Luxe Kit. The name, the beautifully pink beauty bag, and a promised product value of over 4,000 SEK definitely set quite high expectations. That’s why my first reaction was actually a bit… “Is that all?” Not because the content is bad – on the contrary, there are several really nice brands and products here – but because a large part comes in very small sizes. I like minis when they offer a chance to discover something new, but in a box called Luxe, I expected a more generous feeling when opening the bag. At the same time, there are a few things that really save the experience. The Marie-Stella-Maris shower gel in full size genuinely made me happy since it was already on my “want to try” list. The same goes for the HEAT Cryo-Ball – exactly the kind of slightly unexpected beauty gadget that makes a box fun and that I probably wouldn’t have bought myself. And the beauty bag itself? 💗 cute and maybe something I’ll continue to use. I also like the mix of skincare, makeup, fragrance, hair, and body. There’s a lot to discover here, and it’s quite possible that one of the very smallest products will end up being my favorite. But if I’m judging the whole rather than just the product value, I still miss that last feeling of abundance. I would have preferred to see a few fewer products and a couple more generous full sizes. For me, that would have made a bigger difference than many small samples. The Ordinary GF 15% Solution is one of those products that made me curious right from the start. The packaging is typically minimalistic for The Ordinary – almost clinical – but it’s the content and especially how the skin feels over time that has made it interesting to me. The serum has a light texture that spreads nicely over the skin and quickly becomes a natural step in the routine. I especially appreciate that it feels moisturizing without being heavy or sticky, which makes it easy to combine with other skincare. This is not a product where I expected a dramatic before-and-after result in a few days. The nice thing has rather been the small changes. With regular use, I experience that the skin feels softer, plumper, and healthier, and that the skin surface has gained a smoother and fresher feel. Something I really appreciate is that the serum feels so uncomplicated to use. No excessive luxury, no spectacular packaging – just a formula that gets the job done. The dropper works well, although I personally think a pump would make dosing even smoother and more elegant. There is skincare that gives a lovely feeling in the moment, and then there are products you only truly start to appreciate after they've been part of your routine for a while. Crystal Retinal 6 belongs to the latter category for me. The first thing I was drawn to was the formula. It is light, silky, and surprisingly pleasant for an active step in the evening routine. It spreads nicely over the skin, absorbs without any heavy residue, and works very well under my moisturizing night cream. But it is after continuous use that I think the product shows its strength. The change hasn’t been dramatic from one evening to the next – rather subtle in that way where you suddenly realize your skin actually looks different. I experience a smoother and more even skin texture, more clarity, and above all that beautiful glow that makes the skin look healthy even without makeup. I also appreciate that Medik8 has managed to make the application itself so elegant. The pump dispenses just the right amount, the product feels fresh every time, and the packaging is both functional and beautiful. It might sound like a small detail, but for me, that’s the kind of thing that separates a good product from a truly well-thought-out product. Is it cheap? No. And that’s exactly why my expectations would have been high if I had bought it myself. Maria Nila Mirror Gloss Shampoo & Conditioner Mirror Gloss has been a favorite of mine ever since the line launched, and it’s still a duo I’m more than happy to return to. The shampoo cleans the hair nicely while leaving it soft and manageable, and together with the conditioner I get that smooth, well-cared-for feeling and beautiful shine that I really appreciate.
