I have tried many eye creams over the years, but it’s not always easy to find a formula that feels sufficiently moisturizing without being too rich. A gentle cleanser that works best in the morning
The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser is a simple and uncomplicated cleanser that I recently finished. The formula starts as a cream and transforms into a light oil when warmed between the hands. It feels pleasant on the skin and cleanses without leaving it tight or dry, which I appreciate. For me, it worked best as a morning cleanser or as the first step in a double cleansing routine. After a full day of makeup with foundation, concealer, mascara, and eyeshadow, I found it struggled to remove everything on its own, which often made me want to follow up with an additional cleanser. The product is completely fragrance-free, which many will surely appreciate. Personally, I think a subtle, fresh scent can contribute to a more luxurious user experience, so I would have liked a bit more of that. I chose the smaller 50 ml size and was surprised at how quickly it ran out. Affordable Vitamin C product, but no visible results for me
I have used Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow daily for exactly three months. The serum has a light texture that absorbs quickly and works well with other skincare. Unfortunately, I did not notice any clear improvement in skin radiance or tone during the test period. I also found the scent quite strong and somewhat reminiscent of fish oil or omega 3, which detracted from the overall impression for me. One aspect I do think is worth highlighting is the product's shelf life. According to the manufacturer, the serum lasts eight months from production and new batches are produced continuously. However, my bottle only had about three months left until the expiration date when I received it. This meant I had to open and start using the product immediately, without the option to plan when I wanted to introduce it into my skincare routine. For me, this is a downside as I prefer to have some flexibility when trying new products. A tip for other users is to store the serum in the refrigerator. I find that it helps the product feel fresh longer, while also giving a cool and pleasant sensation upon application.
