Completely okay eye cream – but no miracles for me 🤍
Writing this review as #lykotestpilot 💙 For a few weeks, I have been testing The Ordinary’s new eye cream with vegan-produced PDRN through fermentation of probiotic bacteria – exciting! 🧠🧶𝒜𝒜 𝓈𝓉𝓎𝓁𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑒𝓍𝓉: Simple design, completely okay, smooth hygienic applicator – exactly what I prefer in an eye cream 🤍 At first use, I wasn’t prepared for it to sting a little! But it disappears after a few minutes. Light in texture at first (gel-cream), a bit thicker/sticky when working it out, but dries quickly – I actually experience a smoothing film feeling and a bit of glow! ✨ 𝓈𝓅𝓇𝑜𝑔𝓉𝑒𝓍𝓉: Should immediately tighten and lift the eyelids Visibly smooth lines and eyelids Provide intense moisture Works well with other skincare & makeup Gives a glow My opinion: I think it lives up to smoothing the skin a bit right away. But my hooded eyes haven’t noticed any lift in the eyelids. I can’t see my fine lines reduced over 3 weeks (except a little effect in the moment). I like the moisture and subtle glow it gives. Works especially well with makeup on top and hasn’t rolled with my other products. Even though it contains shea butter, I don’t find it too greasy. I also haven’t noticed any extra acne around the eyes from it ++ My skin type: 35+ with fine lines, a bit dark under the eyes but no puffiness. Combination skin that easily gets oily around the eyes + prone to acne. A bit sensitive. Besides that, I’m a skincare nerd who likes to nerd out on ingredients, but that will have to take space in another post 🤓 A completely okay eye cream for moisture, good price, works well with makeup and plumps the skin a bit, but no miracles for me in 3 weeks. Right now I’m testing one of Clinique’s eye, day, and night creams (bought a test kit). We’ll see how it goes after 3-4 weeks. So far, pretty satisfied. 😊 Ps: it’s totally okay to be a nerd!!! 🤓🤓🤓🩷1 likes
