A new lip oil from Estelle&Thild that I've gotten to test as #lykoinflutester I pretty much always have something on my lips, and my handbag is absolutely full of various lip products. Not because I have dry lips, but more because I like the feeling of having a bit of shine, color, and hydration. The color of this one, mulberry, is a color I often gravitate towards when choosing lip products. A fairly neutral and sheer color that suits most occasions. The formula itself is very pleasant and a bit on the "thicker" side but gives a super nice shine. Since it contains both jojoba and shea butter, it feels really nice and moisturizing on the lips. What lowers the rating a bit is the wear time. I think it disappears too quickly. Now it was time for a new mission β and this time itβs three products, brand new from Estelle & Thild. Who doesnβt love a new release? π First up among the reviews is this primer. I actually use primer quite rarely. Sometimes, when I use a more matte foundation or when my skin needs a little extra glow (the days I donβt wear foundation at all), I might reach for one of my glowy primers. However, I very rarely use primer to make makeup last longer or better, which is actually a primerβs main task. Since this primer promises glow, it should, on paper, be just right for me. But unfortunatelyβ¦ no πββοΈ Why? π The scent β First and foremost, I canβt handle the smell. Itβs that typical βorganicβ scent that to my nose reminds me ofβ¦ silage. And unfortunately, it doesnβt go away. π The glitter particles β There are clear glitter particles in the product that become very prominent in sunlight. For me, itβs a bit too much. π Primer or highlighter? β I actually feel it works more as a highlighter than as a primer. π It brightens the skin β On my sun-kissed skin, the result is almost like it puts a lighter shimmer on top of the skin, and thatβs not really what I want from a primer. π It dries down in no time and is impossible to get even. You canβt see in the picture how badly it matches me, it actually looks quite good. Unfortunately, that doesnβt quite match reality as I look more like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. Maybe it suits very fair skin? However, I have tried mixing a drop into my foundation and then it works really well! Fun with a brand new mascara to test and share my thoughts! Iβm quite picky when it comes to mascara and there are many boxes to tick, so Iβm rating this based on that: The brush and tube: π Like it, quite a thick tube but a slim brush, easy to work with. Length: π I definitely think this gives good length even though I have mascaras at home that stretch the lashes more. But this definitely gets approved. Color: π Nice black and also gives the lashes a bit of shine. Volume: π Approved here too. No spider legs and no clumps. It gives a nice lift without the lashes feeling too hard. Durability: π Doesnβt crumble or smudge (havenβt exposed it to rain or sweat though). Removal: π Super easy, melts away with my usual cleanser. π Fun that Lyko has released their own eyeshadows that even fit the thinnest wallet! And super fun to get to test and evaluate! π Here are my thoughts on the palette: π I really like the size of this and that there are 4 different colors. I chose the one in the color Mauve on up, mostly because it had two matte and two glittery shades. The others, I thought, had three glittery and one matte, and I don't use glittery shadows that often. (Boring - I know π«£) π€ The pigmentation is modest, which I don't have a problem with. I'd rather be able to build up and have control than the other way around. π€ It's relatively easy to build up in a soft way and there isn't much "fall out" β the glittery ones have a bit more "fall out" than the matte shadows. βΊοΈ The glittery ones are more on the creamy side while the mattes were more powdery. π The wear time isn't the best, but totally okay with primer underneath. π I think this format of eyeshadow is really good for everyday use and perfect to bring on trips. Good for its small price π
πI got to try this Lip Crayon from by Lyko and here are my thoughts about it: πTo start with, I want to say that this color was a bit too light for my lips, but thatβs totally my own fault. In hindsight, I should have bought the one called Love Burnt, I think it would have matched my lips better. I solve this with a darker lip liner, then this, and on with gloss. π₯What I really like about this is that itβs super easy to first draw the contours and then fill in the rest. Itβs soft and creamy to apply and covers really well. π©·I also like that you twist it up and donβt have to sharpen it, big plus! π«€What brings down the stars is the matte result. Nice shine, but....
πIn my latest assignment, I received 3 products from Lyko's own brand, and here are my thoughts on this lip balm. πI think we should start with what I like least: The appearance β the packaging is not at all to my taste and looks more like a free merch product, one you get at festivals or other fun events. The tube feels incredibly plastic and cheap. Also, the fact that you can't screw the product back on once you've opened it makes it feel even cheaper. π€·But the formula itself? Well, at first application, I was a bit shocked at how soft the balm was β like room temperature butter. I accidentally pressed too hard the first time, so be careful when applying!! Here, I'm not entirely convinced that I like the formula/consistency. πResult and feel: Okay, here I have nothing to complain about. The shine is incredible, and the color I chose is super nice, muted but with plenty of shine. Nice on its own but also over lip liner. The color and shine hold up quite well too, and since it's so rich and you only need to dab it on, you can happily reapply. πThe plumping effect isn't the best, but you can still see some difference. The tingling is just right and not unpleasant like some plumping products can be. π€Whether it cares for my lips, I can't say as I've used it too briefly to judge, but I haven't noticed it drying out my lips like some cheaper products tend to do to me. βIf I could give it 2.5 stars, I would, but since it doesn't reach a 3, it gets 2 stars from me. Itβs a beautiful sunny day, but unfortunately Iβm sick. Today I tried the new serum foundation from Clarins. Itβs a blend of serum and foundation, and the consistency is quite interesting, especially the lovely glow it leaves on the skin. It dries down and looks very nice on the skin. For those of you who like a radiant complexion, this is the perfect foundation.β¨β¨β¨β¨ I applied it with my fingers to check the consistency, but then I used a foundation brush. I really liked this foundation; I didnβt use any pressed powder. I will use it more often and come back to talk more about it.
