A new favorite! ✨
This eye cream has truly surprised me and quickly become a new favorite in my skincare routine! ✨ At first, I was actually a bit unsure if I would notice any major difference, since I have tried quite a few different eye creams before without really feeling that they made any noticeable difference. But right from the first use, I got a positive feeling. The first thing I noticed was that the skin around my eyes felt more hydrated, smoother, and almost a little tightened. You can really feel that the product works with the skin and it gives a very fresh feeling without the area feeling dry or tight in an uncomfortable way 🫶🏼. After using it regularly, both morning and evening, I have especially noticed a difference in my fine lines under the eyes. They feel less prominent and the area looks smoother and more awake. I also think the whole eye area looks fresher and more rested, which I really appreciate! 🥰 Another thing I like is the feeling after application. The eye contour feels soft and hydrated, while the cream doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. It fits very well both in my morning routine and in the evening. I also think it works nicely under makeup since the skin feels hydrated and even 💃🏻✨. Completely okay eye cream – but no miracles for me 🤍
Writing this review as #lykotestpilot 💙 For a few weeks, I have been testing The Ordinary's new eye cream with vegan-produced PDRN through fermentation of probiotic bacteria – exciting! 🧠 ̈ : Simple design, completely okay, smooth hygienic applicator – exactly what I prefer in an eye cream 🤍 At first use, I wasn't prepared for it to sting a little! But it disappears after a few minutes. Light in texture at first (gel-cream), a bit thicker/sticky when working it out, but dries quickly – I actually experience a smoothing film feeling and a bit of radiance! ✨ ̊ ̈? ̈ ̈̈ (̈ .): • Should immediately tighten and firm • Give a visible lift to the eyelids • Visibly smooth lines and eyelids • Provide intense moisture • Compatible with other skincare & makeup • Give a glow 🧥: I think it lives up to immediately smoothing the skin a bit. But my hooded eyes haven't noticed any lift in the eyelids. I can't see that my fine lines have reduced over 3 weeks (except a little effect in the moment). I like the moisture and subtle glow it gives. Works especially well with makeup on top and hasn't rolled with my other products. Even though it contains shea butter, I don't find it too greasy. I also haven't noticed any extra acne around the eyes from it ++ 🧢 : 35+ with fine lines, a bit dark under the eyes but no puffiness. Combination skin that easily gets oily around the eyes + acne-prone. A bit sensitive. A new lip oil from Estelle&Thild that I've gotten to test as #lykoinflutester I pretty much always have something on my lips, and my handbag is absolutely full of various lip products. Not because I have dry lips, but more because I like the feeling of having a bit of shine, color, and hydration. The color of this one, mulberry, is a color I often gravitate towards when choosing lip products. A fairly neutral and sheer color that suits most occasions. The formula itself is very pleasant and a bit on the "thicker" side but gives a super nice shine. Since it contains both jojoba and shea butter, it feels really nice and moisturizing on the lips. What lowers the rating a bit is the wear time. I think it disappears too quickly. Now it was time for a new mission – and this time it’s three products, brand new from Estelle & Thild. Who doesn’t love a new release? 🙏 First up among the reviews is this primer. I actually use primer quite rarely. Sometimes, when I use a more matte foundation or when my skin needs a little extra glow (the days I don’t wear foundation at all), I might reach for one of my glowy primers. However, I very rarely use primer to make makeup last longer or better, which is actually a primer’s main task. Since this primer promises glow, it should, on paper, be just right for me. But unfortunately… no 🙂↔️ Why? 👉 The scent – First and foremost, I can’t handle the smell. It’s that typical “organic” scent that to my nose reminds me of… silage. And unfortunately, it doesn’t go away. 👉 The glitter particles – There are clear glitter particles in the product that become very prominent in sunlight. For me, it’s a bit too much. 👉 Primer or highlighter? – I actually feel it works more as a highlighter than as a primer. 👉 It brightens the skin – On my sun-kissed skin, the result is almost like it puts a lighter shimmer on top of the skin, and that’s not really what I want from a primer. 👉 It dries down in no time and is impossible to get even. You can’t see in the picture how badly it matches me, it actually looks quite good. Unfortunately, that doesn’t quite match reality as I look more like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. Maybe it suits very fair skin? However, I have tried mixing a drop into my foundation and then it works really well! Approved everyday mascara
Fun with a brand new mascara to test and share my thoughts! I’m quite picky when it comes to mascara and there are many boxes to tick, so I’m rating this based on that: The brush and tube: 👉 Like it, quite a thick tube but a slim brush, easy to work with. Length: 👉 I definitely think this gives good length even though I have mascaras at home that stretch the lashes more. But this definitely gets approved. Color: 👉 Nice black and also gives the lashes a bit of shine. Volume: 👉 Approved here too. No spider legs and no clumps. It gives a nice lift without the lashes feeling too hard. Durability: 👉 Doesn’t crumble or smudge (haven’t exposed it to rain or sweat though). Removal: 👉 Super easy, melts away with my usual cleanser. 💃 Fun that Lyko has released their own eyeshadows that even fit the thinnest wallet! And super fun to get to test and evaluate! 😌 Here are my thoughts on the palette: 👍 I really like the size of this and that there are 4 different colors. I chose the one in the color Mauve on up, mostly because it had two matte and two glittery shades. The others, I thought, had three glittery and one matte, and I don't use glittery shadows that often. (Boring - I know 🫣) 🤔 The pigmentation is modest, which I don't have a problem with. I'd rather be able to build up and have control than the other way around. 🤗 It's relatively easy to build up in a soft way and there isn't much "fall out" – the glittery ones have a bit more "fall out" than the matte shadows. ☺️ The glittery ones are more on the creamy side while the mattes were more powdery. 😏 The wear time isn't the best, but totally okay with primer underneath. 😀 I think this format of eyeshadow is really good for everyday use and perfect to bring on trips. 🙏I got to try this Lip Crayon from by Lyko and here are my thoughts about it: 😌To start with, I want to say that this color was a bit too light for my lips, but that’s totally my own fault. In hindsight, I should have bought the one called Love Burnt, I think it would have matched my lips better. I solve this with a darker lip liner, then this, and on with gloss. 🔥What I really like about this is that it’s super easy to first draw the contours and then fill in the rest. It’s soft and creamy to apply and covers really well. 🩷I also like that you twist it up and don’t have to sharpen it, big plus! 🫤What brings down the stars is the matte result. 🙏In my latest assignment, I received 3 products from Lyko's own brand, and here are my thoughts on this lip balm. 👎I think we should start with what I like least: The appearance – the packaging is not at all to my taste and looks more like a free merch product, one you get at festivals or other fun events. The tube feels incredibly plastic and cheap. Also, the fact that you can't screw the product back on once you've opened it makes it feel even cheaper. 🤷But the formula itself? Well, at first application, I was a bit shocked at how soft the balm was – like room temperature butter. I accidentally pressed too hard the first time, so be careful when applying!! Here, I'm not entirely convinced that I like the formula/consistency. 👍Result and feel: Okay, here I have nothing to complain about. The shine is incredible, and the color I chose is super nice, muted but with plenty of shine. Nice on its own but also over lip liner. The color and shine hold up quite well too, and since it's so rich and you only need to dab it on, you can happily reapply. 👄The plumping effect isn't the best, but you can still see some difference. The tingling is just right and not unpleasant like some plumping products can be. 🤌Whether it cares for my lips, I can't say as I've used it too briefly to judge, but I haven't noticed it drying out my lips like some cheaper products tend to do to me. ⭐If I could give it 2.5 stars, I would, but since it doesn't reach a 3, it gets 2 stars from me. It’s a beautiful sunny day, but unfortunately I’m sick. Today I tried the new serum foundation from Clarins. It’s a blend of serum and foundation, and the consistency is quite interesting, especially the lovely glow it leaves on the skin. It dries down and looks very nice on the skin. For those of you who like a radiant complexion, this is the perfect foundation.✨✨✨✨ I applied it with my fingers to check the consistency, but then I used a foundation brush. I really liked this foundation; I didn’t use any pressed powder. I will use it more often and come back to talk more about it.
