I have used several bottles of this leave-in conditioner now, and I absolutely LOVE it! No other leave-in I have tried has made my hair as soft as this one does! However, forget the 20-in-1 marketing.. it's quite ridiculous, because by those standards, almost all leave-ins would be "20-in-1". I spray this leave-in conditioner into a cupped hand and then apply it with my hands to the hair lengths (not the scalp).. it works really well and gives me better control than if I spray. The scent is nice but faint and almost disappears immediately after application.. that doesn't bother me much. Add a separate heat protectant if you're going to flat iron your hair. This leave-in conditioner plus the light oil from Moroccanoil is a winning combo for my hair. Fresh Scent
I had the opportunity to be #lykotestpilot at #matrix new series #glowmania and I am totally okay satisfied. All the products in the series have a very fresh scent that can feel a bit sharp at first before you get used to it. This leave-in spray is sprayed on wet hair before you brush it out, the spray really makes it easy to detangle the hair without any knots that can drive you crazy. The spray also gives a nice shine to the hair, though I do feel that the hair can feel greasy relatively quickly after washing, maybe it depends on how much product you use or if it just doesn't suit my hair. This balm glides easily through the hair, with a fresh scent it leaves the hair feeling fresh and with an incredible shine! All hair types are different and my hair often feels heavy and gets oily easily, possibly this series is a bit wrong for my hair. But all in all, nice series with a new fresh citrus scent. I have tested the entire series from Matrix Glow Mania: shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in spray for a couple of weeks. Already after the first wash, my hair felt cleaner and lighter, but at the same time very soft. The shampoo lathers just the right amount and feels gentle, yet effective. The conditioner has a slightly creamier consistency and made it super easy to detangle my hair without it feeling heavy or flat. The leave-in spray (Glow Gatekeeper) quickly became my favorite! It gives a nice shine and also works as heat protection. The scent is sweet and a bit luxurious, I love it! I also noticed that my hair color looked clearer and fresher for longer, especially the ends that usually become dull between dyeing. My hair feels manageable and shiny without getting greasy quickly. Pros + Gives nice shine and softness without weighing down. + Smells salon-fresh and luxurious. + Hair feels light and airy after washing. + The leave-in spray contains heat protection. The first thing that struck me when using it was that they smelled really good, I have a hard time putting my finger on exactly what they smelled like, but a bit of grapefruit, fresh and not too sweet. 😍 Unfortunately, I didn't get any WOW feeling from this series, it didn't do much for my hair. Maybe it just didn't suit my hair type. I have thin, somewhat dry hair that needs more moisture and repair. I don't know if it was the leave-in spray or the other products that made my hair a bit greasy. I had the honor of being a tester for Matrix's new series Glow Mania with shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in spray. The first impression was a very fresh but distinct citrus scent, I thought it was almost too much at first. Otherwise, I like sweet and "soft" scents in hair care. But after using the series for a while, I like it more and more. When you massage the shampoo in, it feels cooling on the scalp, which is very nice. However, it doesn't feel like the hair gets as clean as I would have liked, I experience that the hair gets greasy pretty quickly again - but I guess it's individual how the hair is. The conditioner is smooth and light and also has a very fresh scent. The hair feels lively, very light, and has gotten a nice shine! The leave-in spray makes the hair easy to comb out and makes the hair soft and silky, not to mention the shine - wow! 🤩 The pictures have slightly different lighting, the first is before I tested the products - I still think I see a difference in that the hair is more lively afterwards! The spray function of the packaging is convenient and the scent is fresh and just strong enough 🍋 Ohhh, I had higher expectations for this! I like that it makes my hair soft and easy to comb. I have as #lykotestpilot tested Glow Mania Color Protecting Conditioner! My hair is colored, thick with fine strands, a scalp that quickly gets oily, and ends that are a bit worn. The conditioner has a fresh, light scent. The consistency is creamy without feeling heavy, which I like🧴💛 After rinsing, my hair felt smooth and easy to comb through. It doesn't weigh the hair down, but for my slightly worn ends, I would have wished for more care and nourishment. However, my hair color has held up really well. I had the opportunity to be #lykotestpilot for a few weeks for #matrix Glow Mania. I have porous, colored, and bleached hair that needs extra love before blow-drying. I didn’t think this was a wow product since Matrix has better leave-ins that I describe further down! Leave in: ✅Heat protection 230°C ✅Smells good, like Earl Grey tea approximately 🆗Hair can feel a bit greasy 🆗Pretty expensive but a totally okay economical product ❌Not much shine ❌I have tested both this “Glow mania leave in” and “Matrix miracle creator total results” (Lyko article 1008-264-0190) Glow mania focuses solely on shine, color retention, and heat protection up to 230°C. Miracle Creator has the same properties plus for example faster blow-drying, frizz control, moisture protection, etc. for a cheaper price (and smells better). Glow mania is also developed for use in wet hair while MC can be used in both wet and dry hair. Conditioner ✅Reasonable price ✅Good packaging ✅Easy to detangle 🆗The hair is soft and shiny but not more than usual 🆗The conditioner smells like tea, almost like Earl Grey? It smells good in the shower, but unfortunately the shampoo smells fresh citrus and the conditioner smells like sweet tea, so after the shower, the hair has no distinct scent of anything. Separately, they smell very good but not together ❌The hair definitely becomes soft when dry, but it almost feels like the conditioner isn’t completely rinsed out and remains like a film on the hair strands Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to test the series long enough to see any difference in whether the color lasts longer or better. I have been thinking about buying this series myself as it sounds interesting for my bleached, colored, and frizzy hair with a normal scalp. ✅The shampoo smells fresh of citrus ✅Lathers just right ✅Reasonable price ✅Good packaging ❌Shampoo and conditioner do not smell the same ❌I have a hard time washing out, for example, hairspray, wash 2 times but don’t quite get the "squeaky clean" feeling I want, instead it feels like a lot of focus is on moisture (probably better suited for drier scalps) ❌The product promises "diamond-like shine" as well as "improved and more vibrant color shine", but I don’t see any major difference with the naked eye 🆗Since I haven’t had time to test the shampoo for a longer period, I unfortunately can’t determine if the color stays nice longer than normal. ❌Overall, I am quite disappointed with the series as Matrix has been my favorite brand in hair care for many years. Perfect shine and soft curls without frizz ✨
I have curly hair that easily gets dry and frizzy, so I was super curious to try Matrix Glow Gatekeeper. Already after the first use, I noticed how my hair got a fantastic shine and felt much softer. The scent is fresh and salon-like, and the consistency is easy to work into the hair. I really like how my hair feels hydrated but still airy, and that the shine stays nice all day. The downside was that the bathroom floor got a bit slippery after using the spray.
