I have tried so many antiperspirants over the years, everything from cheap supermarket antiperspirants to expensive Vichy.. Not much has given the desired effect, or the scent has been too masculine. I think I have finally found a favorite among the slightly cheaper antiperspirants now; Rexona advanced protection in the scent "tropical". This antiperspirant smells so good without being overwhelming (like the "bright bouquet" scent is). It protects quite well against sweat.. not sweat-free, but less sweat with this than with many cheaper antiperspirants. It takes a while to dry in though.. I usually dab with some toilet paper when I get tired of waiting. Remember to keep the use of antiperspirants to the evenings, as the sweat glands are less active then. You should be able to wash your armpits in the morning without the protection being affected.. the aluminum has already absorbed. Rating: 4.5 out of 5. Here we have one of Rexona's many antiperspirants. It actually protects surprisingly well for being a cheap antiperspirant, but takes a long time to dry. Use antiperspirant in the evenings when the sweat glands are less active (it also protects even if you wash it off in the morning, as the aluminum has already sunk into the pores to block them). I'm not so fond of the sharp, artificial floral scent.. 1. Everyone needs the same kind of SPF in the sun (SPF 50 or 30.. lower than that is insignificant). Even the darkest skin tone only provides about SPF 14 protection, which is not enough. 2. I got to try this shampoo from #lumene. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are as honest as the reviews I write about products I have paid for.) My first impression was that the bottle is very soft, which is good for those who can't squeeze too hard without hurting themselves. The bottle also has a nice color and is fairly well designed (not too sticky but not too plain either). I was pleasantly surprised to see Sodium Laureth Sulfate on the ingredient list since the brand seems to be somewhat on the "clean beauty" track with the rest of the series. I expected sarcosinates, glucosides, or other surfactants commonly found in "clean beauty" products. But very nice to see an effective sulfate instead.. thumbs up for that (sulfates are not bad). The shampoo itself has a rather mild scent. It smells like a lemon-scented cleaning product or throat lozenge.. I don't like that. I don't understand why brands (especially Nordic ones) are obsessed with citrus, grass, and "clean" scents?! Fruity, tropical scents are so much better! A nice floral scent or mint can also be pleasant if not too intense. The shampoo lathers well and is easy to spread along the scalp. It cleans well too. I probably would have used up the bottle if it weren't for the itching I got after a few washes. The itching went away when I went back to my usual shampoo. I have no known scalp conditions.. maybe a little sensitive and dry, but that's about it. Still, it caused itching. So maybe not the best shampoo for those who are more sensitive. Rating: 2-2.5 out of 5 I would have almost given it a 3 if it weren't for the itching and the scent. I got to try this conditioner from #lumene. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are as honest as the reviews I write about products I’ve paid for.) First impression was that the bottle is soft and has a pretty decent design. A pump is always a plus too. However, I was disappointed when I saw that there are no silicones in this conditioner (I thought people had gotten over the silicone fear).. It does contain methosulfate, which is a good softening ingredient.. The name ends with "sulfate" due to molecular structure, not because it’s a sulfate (there’s also no reason to be afraid of actual cleansing sulfates.. they’re not bad). The brand claims this conditioner should hydrate intensively. I don’t like when they talk about "moisture".. Hair wants ingredients that form a protective layer around the hair strand, not "moisture." "Soft" and "detangling" are better, non-misleading words to use instead when talking about conditioner products. It’s also worth mentioning that you don’t need to use both conditioner and hair mask in the same shower. They’re basically the same thing with different thickness. I can imagine it gets extremely greasy if you use both. Instead, choose one per shower and save product. Other claims from the brand are that this conditioner should make your hair feel smooth, bouncy (??), and easy to detangle. For a silicone-free conditioner, it was actually pretty good at softening, detangling, and adding some shine to my thick hair. Bounciness, I don’t know. It didn’t make the hair feel greasy like the mask from the same series. The consistency is just thick enough and melts nicely into wet hair. The scent is lemon.. it smells like a cleaning product or throat lozenge, which I don’t like. I don’t understand why brands (especially Nordic ones) are so obsessed with citrus, grass, and "clean" scents?! Give me fruity or vacation paradise.. even mint scent is better if it’s not too intense. Speaking of intensity, this lemon scent is at least on the weaker side. Let's start with first impressions and claims from the brand... The product comes in a tube, which I think is good because it's easy to get most of the content out. The design on the tube is fairly nice and not too messy. However, I was disappointed when I saw that the product does not contain silicone. I thought most people were over the silicone scare by now and had already realized that silicones are actually excellent softeners and detanglers? The brand claims that this mask leaves the hair revitalized (whatever that means?), moisturized, soft, with a light feel. I always find it a bit icky when they talk about moisture because hair doesn't want moisture, hair wants ingredients that lay around the hair strand and protect... not "moisture." Using only words like "soft" and "detangling" would have been a correct way to describe conditioner products and not misleading. It's also worth mentioning about conditioner products that you absolutely don't need to use both hair mask and conditioner in the same shower... they are basically the same thing but have different thickness. Choose one per shower and save product. Moving on to my experience with use... This mask is very thick in consistency... too thick for my taste. It smells like a lemon-scented cleaning product or lozenge... not good. I don't understand why brands (especially Nordic brands) insist on either citrus, grass, or "clean" scents all the time?! Give me fruity, tropical scents... or at least some nice floral. Luckily, the scent is on the weaker side at least, so it doesn't linger intensely in the hair after washing. The result was okay... somewhat soft, but not enough. It's not the worst product I've tested, but far from the best. Quite a light feel at first, but I find the hair feels greasy the next day. I would rather recommend the conditioner from the same series... it's a bit better. Both would be better with a little silicone in them. I have tried both varieties "peach" and "vanilla frosting". "Peach" smelled artificial and left a strange, itchy feeling on my lips... so it went in the trash. "Vanilla frosting", on the other hand, is a fantastic product that I have bought several times. This serum is quite runny, difficult to apply, and has an oily feel. It gave me intense itching when I had used it for a few weeks.. the itching disappeared when I stopped. This conditioner has become one of my favorites. + Smells good, but not too strong. + Makes hair soft and manageable. + Contains amodimethicone... a top ingredient in conditioners. I think you get a similar effect from this conditioner as you do from the Loreal Elvital conditioner in the pink bottle... also one of my favorites. I got to try sunscreen from #cerave. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are as honest as the reviews I write about products I have paid for.) This sunscreen can be used both on the face and body. It comes in a tube that dispenses the product a little too easily.. That could use a slight adjustment. The cream's consistency is neither thin nor thick. It absorbs very nicely into the skin shortly after application and leaves no sticky residue. It also doesn't have much of a scent since it is fragrance-free. However, the price is a bit steep for a basic sunscreen, in my opinion. I still recommend this cream to those who want reliable protection. Don't forget to reapply, and don't store your creams in the blazing sun! I will use up this tube, then I'll probably go back to Nivea Sensitive for the body, as it is a bit more budget-friendly. But it was nice to try these sunscreens from Cerave!1 product in post .544 views
