I have long, thick, and naturally curly hair that easily gets frizzy, so I had high hopes for The Homecurl Curl-Defining Cream. The scent is really nice, fresh, and pleasant without being too strong, which I appreciate. The product comes in a jar, which works, but I would have preferred a tube or pump bottle. It would have made it easier to dose and more hygienic, especially when using the product with wet hands. As for the results, I notice that the curls are definitely enhanced and the frizz is tamed, which is a big plus. The hair looks more defined and gathered, but unfortunately, I don't really like the feeling it leaves in the lengths. No matter how little or much I take, or how I apply it (on wet or towel-dried hair), the hair becomes a bit crispy and rough when it dries. I would have wished for a softer and more natural feel, especially since my curls are otherwise quite dry. In summary, I think it’s a product with many good qualities, nice scent, great results, and less frizz, but I wish the hair felt softer and more moisturized afterward. Plumping the hair a lot!
I have been using this treatment (conditioner/hair mask) for a few weeks now and I really like it! I have naturally curly hair, typically Scandinavian with many fine hair strands, a lot of natural volume, and I am actually light blonde but regularly dye my hair brown. The condition of my hair - dry and damaged right now with a need for both a cut and extra love! I wash my hair three days a week and avoid heat tools as much as possible on a daily basis. SCENT: 5/5 It smells absolutely incredible and the scent lingers nicely after the shower! I don’t find that this has such a strongly perfumed scent, so if you’re not very sensitive, this works! PRODUCT: 3/5 It’s a big advantage that this has several areas of use, both as a hair mask that replaces conditioner (that’s mainly how I’ve used it) but also that you can use it as a leave-in for an extra treatment for the hair. However, I think it requires a lot of product when applied as a conditioner, my hair absorbs it so quickly, and since it’s a bit pricey, it stings a little to use more of this than I usually do with conditioner. In a few weeks with 3 washes/week, more than half of the tube has been used. However, as a leave-in, it doesn’t require as much! DESIGN: 5/5 I prefer conditioner in tubes like this, I think it’s absolutely the easiest to use in the shower, and I, who travel a lot for work, prefer to have products in tubes in my toiletry bag! And everything is also sleek and a nice detail in the shower. It’s also made of material that prevents it from becoming slippery when wet, big plus!! RESULT: 4/5 For me, who has curly hair, it’s easy to tell if there’s good moisture in the product! Little moisture - bad or non-existent curls. Good moisture - nice, even, and lively curls. And this gives my hair FIIINE curls, so much so that I’ve received several compliments for them and many who don’t believe they’re natural. And above all, it plumps the hair to a level I’ve never experienced before, after the first wash my hair felt almost twice as thick! I’ve used this in combination with Fenty Beauty Rich One Moisture shampoo, and it’s an INCREDIBLE combo! The only reason it gets 4/5 is that I don’t get any shine? My hair is less shiny now than before I started using it. But that’s not the most important thing for me, but getting moisture and hair that doesn’t tangle is my priority, and there it delivers on top! I have been using this lovely shampoo for a few weeks now, and I really like it! I have naturally curly hair, typically Scandinavian with many fine strands, a lot of natural volume, and I am actually light blonde but regularly dye my hair brown. PRODUCT: 5/5 The shampoo is concentrated, and you don’t need much to get a good lather, I always shampoo twice. The lather feels soft and moisturizing, a sensation I have never experienced from a shampoo before! DESIGN: 3.5/5 Aesthetically, the bottle is 5/5 for me, it is sleek and incredibly robust and feels so luxurious. However, the pump is very stiff, I don’t know if it’s just mine, but I have to press quite hard to push it down, and it also rises slowly again. I really love the bottle, but it feels a bit like you are also paying extra for that luxury. I would love it if there were refills for the bottle so you wouldn’t have to “pay for it again” but still get the product. RESULT: 4/5 My hair really loves this shampoo! It is so clear on my hair whether it works or not, in terms of volume and curls. What I experience is that my hair becomes so full, and that happened already after the first wash that my hair felt thicker. It also keeps my hair clean and fresh between washes, and I don’t use dry shampoo at all (and I work out and get sweaty every day). However, I do miss the shine and moisture that it promises, i.e., when I read what it is actually supposed to do for the hair, I haven’t really experienced that. I am also not dry in my scalp or have any issues that need to be addressed except for the lengths. But it cleans the hair properly without drying it out, keeps the hair clean for a long time, and gives me the volume I usually have with a good shampoo! I had the opportunity as a Lykoinfluencer to test The Homecurl Curl-Defining Cream from Fenty Beauty. A little info about my hair: - Natural curls that vary every day - More or less fluffy evenly - Has a life of its own, simply put For me, it was a completely new product and a name I hadn't heard before. Which made it extra fun to test. The first impression of the product was that it smelled good even before I opened the packaging. Convenient packaging with the lid and a self-standing container. It's easy to get the right amount of product and to access the product in a convenient way. Nothing there that you miss when the product starts to run out. I've used it several times now, and since you don't need much product for a good result, it's a very economical product and will last a long time. I've used it on wet hair and let it air dry. The packaging has a good and clear picture instruction on how to use the product. And it helps! Creates a nicer result. When air drying the hair, the curls can become a bit crispy, but if you scrunch them once, it disappears and gives more life to the curls again, and the frizz calms down too. The curls also hold up pretty well the next day. The scent of the product is fantastic and leaves a pleasant smell in the hair after use. Simply a fantastic product at a reasonable price. Really good cream for us curly girls 😘
Fun to have a cream that doesn't weigh you down! 👏 My hair is naturally very curly, and with that comes maaassive frizz! I think the cream does a pretty good job with the frizz, and since the ends of my hair are bleached and the upper part is uncolored, I could notice a difference in how it affected my hair. The uncolored hair didn't want as much product as the bleached hair, it took an eeeevvverlasting time to dry if I used too much product! The bleached hair, however, didn't complain, it just screams for more moisture! 😉 In the video, I'm using a hairdryer (with a nozzle for curly hair), it gives more volume but I think the actual curls don't turn out quite as nice then. It could also depend on the user who might need to refine the technique a bit 🤭 In the pictures, I've let my hair air dry 🌬 Normally, my hair doesn't usually like cream products that much, gel usually works best, but this cream actually succeeded! Incredible!
This product is truly a hero in a tube! I was so surprised at how good my hair felt already after the first use. This product is supposed to work both as a hair mask and as a leave-in cream, but since I have very thin and fine hair, I have only used it as a mask that is rinsed out since it is recommended as a leave-in cream for thicker and drier hair. They also say that you can replace this product with conditioner, so I have done that and it has worked super! I have tried using it every hair wash as a conditioner and also using it as a hair mask some showers and finishing with conditioner, as I would have done with a regular wash. But I actually prefer to use it as a conditioner, you really don’t need any “regular” conditioner afterwards, it gets the job done! The hair is left moisturized, shiny, and looks so healthy. I have quite a few split ends and can easily get dry and frizzy at the ends, but I feel that it completely disappears with this! Split ends are of course still there, but they don’t feel dry and are not nearly as visible. It feels almost like you’ve been to the hairdresser after a wash! 🤩 I am very excited to continue using this product and see how the hair will develop and feel after a longer time. This shampoo really exceeded all my expectations! I have typically Scandinavian and thin hair, and my scalp gets very oily very easily, usually stays clean for a maximum of 2 days, with some shampoos only one day. But with this shampoo, my hair is completely clean for 3 days! Besides making the hair clean, it also becomes soft, manageable, and feels moisturized. I wash my hair 2 times a week and always shampoo 2 times in the shower. During the second shampooing, this shampoo lathers up really well, and you get far with a little product! Besides the product being good, I also LOVE the packaging, I really appreciate that it has a pump! So easy to deal with when you’re standing with wet hands in the shower. The only negative I’ve experienced with this product is the scent, unfortunately, I don’t like it at all... hard to explain how it smells, but I think it’s almost a bit "old lady" in scent 😬 But all in all, an absolutely incredible shampoo that I will definitely continue to use! 😱When I first saw the packaging of this chubby lip mask, I was initially a bit annoyed that the packaging was so clunky, the lip product came way outside the lips. But when I then realize that it’s “the jar, but without having to stick your finger into the actual product,” I think it’s completely genius! I love it! 🤗I generally never have dry or sensitive lips, except when it’s really cold or if I have a cold, but I still like the feeling of putting a thick layer of lip mask on before bed, as part of my evening routine. This mask I must admit is both cheaper and at least as good (if not better) than the one I’m currently using. 🙏This one stays on the lips for a long time and doesn’t give any sticky feeling at all. 🍉The taste is of mild melon, which is pleasant, but I would probably have preferred it completely scent/taste-free if I could decide. ✨If I’m being really picky, I think the glitter particles are excessive and I would have liked to skip them. But as I said, it’s really not a bigger problem. 🤷Whether the lips have become more plump or if the wrinkles have become fewer, I can’t answer since I’ve only used the mask for a short time. 💵Since I only use lip mask at bedtime (or in acute situations), I think this is definitely worth the price since it will last a long time. 🎁I would also give this a heads up as #julklappstips. The hair doesn't stay fresh as long as I wish
I have curly, frizzy, and dry hair that is colored. It is also a bit damaged due to heat tools, but mainly in great need of moisture 🧖🏻 The shampoo feels luxurious and is a nice detail in the bathroom. I like that it comes with a pump. The shampoo smells really good and fresh. The product is easy to work into the hair to create a lather 🥰 After washing my hair, it feels clean and fresh, but unfortunately, my hair doesn't stay clean as long as it can with other shampoos. I already start to feel the day after washing my hair that it begins to feel unfresh and a bit oily at the scalp. It feels a bit too early considering that I know I can go several days between washes with the right products. Works great as a hair mask
I have now used this repair treatment for a few weeks 🥰 I have used it as a hair mask in the shower, but also as a leave-in treatment afterwards. Before application, I used the Moisture Repair Shampoo, which is also from FentyBeauty. I have curly, frizzy, and dry hair that is colored. But also a bit damaged due to heat tools, which makes this product fit perfectly! 😍 As a leave-in, it unfortunately does not work at all for my hair. I have tested it in different amounts. The product surely does good for the hair, but it’s the feeling I can’t stand. The hair becomes rough, feels dry and greasy at the same time. I have had it in towel-dried hair, but also in dry. I have let it air dry and also blow-dried. As mentioned, you can also use the product as a hair mask, which works better for me, so I will continue with that 💁🏻♀️ After use, the hair becomes soft, smooth, and manageable 💆🏻♀️ I don’t notice any difference in the frizz of my hair before and after, but that can be solved with other products as a complement. This treatment would have received a higher rating if it had suited as a treatment for my hair since the aftercare is at least as important ⭐️. Besides what I have now written about, the bottle is a nice detail in the bathroom, the cream smells very good but not too strong, and it is easy to apply. I am soooooo glad that I, as a Lyko influencer, got to try - Fenty the homecurl curl-defining cream! Luxury luxury luxury! About me: blonde, porous hair with natural curls! I have only applied it to wet hair, and usually let it air dry. I have tried blow-drying it once. I get about the same result - a fluffy, curly hair with volume that doesn't feel stiff or crunchy. The hair feels so smooth and soft - and at the same time bouncy! First day - when the hair is freshly washed, it takes care of frizz very well! However, after a night’s sleep, it holds up a little less well, but then there’s the advantage that you can re-moisten the hair and scrunch the curls to get a nice hairstyle again! The scent is u.n.d.e.r.b.a.r!!! And a plus for being vegan! 🌱 Why choose this over other similar products? I think it’s special - it delivers what it promises, it smells magical, and it’s economical. Good, but not the best.
Product number 2 of 2 from Fenty to be reviewed is the lip mask. And I am a very diligent user of lip balm, so it was a perfect influencer assignment! Fenty's lip mask is unique. And both in terms of the packaging's appearance (which I have only previously had with a lip product from essence), and the formula/consistency. But I am not completely convinced. 🤔 Actually, the packaging is neither bad nor super good. It's just okay. It is, as mentioned, unique. A little fun. 😄 The formula is also, as mentioned, unique. The longevity of the lip mask on the lips is outstanding! I have certainly not had a lip product that has stayed on my lips for so long, and that I haven't needed to reapply for a very long time. So that's almost fantastic! 🙌 So does the lip mask do wonders for the lips? Well, I really don't know. The formula is almost like a silicone. Just like the serum that I am also testing, the lip mask gives a stickiness. And I also don't know if the lips become smoother and firmer? Or if the lip mask provides nourishing moisture, as promised. In some way, it feels a bit unclear what I actually think about this. I am not completely sold. As it feels (so far), I probably wouldn't buy it again. A big plus is that it is vegan, as I would like to use vegan products in the first place. But I will use the lip mask until it runs out. And who knows? Doesn't quite make it all the way
First and foremost, I want to say: so incredibly fun that LYKO has been able to get Fenty into their assortment! 🥳 And that we got the opportunity to test it. ☺️🥰 To describe my skin, and skin condition: 46 years old, normal to dry skin, that needs moisturizing products. I have some signs of aging/wrinkles. I've had a bit of a tough time lately, which has taken a toll on me. Poor sleep and a lot of stress. To describe the appearance and packaging, the serum is in a nice and handy pump bottle. I also appreciate that it is made of plastic. There is a lot of talk about reducing the use of plastic. But as long as it is recycled, I think plastic is not worse than if it had been a glass bottle. So the packaging is easy to handle during use, as it is not heavy. Handy pump for dosing. The scent is lovely! ☺️ I assume it is melon-scented, since the serum contains fruit juice from Kalahari melon. I associated the scent with peach. The scent strength is medium, so I think even scent-sensitive people wouldn't have a problem with the scent. The consistency of the serum is like a gel. A bit sticky. 😅 But despite its stickiness, I still feel that the serum is absorbed by the skin. I don't have sensitive skin and tolerate most things. But I would say that I find the serum to be mild, and it could also suit people with sensitive skin. After about 10 days of use, my impression is that the serum doesn't quite make it all the way when it comes to moisturizing and plumping my skin. But I've also had a lot of stress, so that could absolutely have a big impact. Maybe I will see a more noticeable result after longer use. Love it but expensive
This lip mask from Fenty is divine. It's my third one, but the first with this scent. Smells like yummy cherries and gives a light pink tint to the lips. Keeps the lips moisturized for a long time, and you don't need much to achieve a good effect. Small and easy to take anywhere. I like the concept of being able to twist out the amount you want, but the downside is that it gets a bit messy. The price range is quite steep for what it is and that amount, but it's generally known for the brand. A glowing serum for a fresh look
A serum with a cocktail of moisturizing ingredients that is supposed to give a glowing finish. Pump bottle which is totally right as the serum itself has a thicker consistency. The finish is definitely glowing. It moisturizes well and I think it suits my dry skin nicely. It will be a bit too rich for oilier skin types though. A good day serum as part of the morning routine. It works well with other skincare, doesn’t roll, and sits nicely under makeup, giving a fresh look.
