Absolutely hate
As a Lyko test pilot, I got the chance to try this setting spray. I had so many expectations and was so excited to try it but ended up really disappointed. I can't say anything about the longevity of this product because as soon as I tried it, I took my makeup off immediately! This setting spray contains glitter particles to give a glow, and I absolutely hate that. I had glitter all over my face, clothes, and makeup table. It has a pretty wide spray, so as mentioned, it gets everywhere. I absolutely hate having glitter particles on me, so when this sprayed glitter all over me, I had to take it off and couldn't continue using it. I was disappointed and gave it to my sister. I can't say anything about the longevity, but it's good to keep in mind that this contains pure glitter particles and doesn't give a nice glow. Completely okay
As a test pilot, I got to try this primer, my expectations were not high since the blue version didn’t work for me and this was the same story. When I first got it, I didn’t have many expectations but still hoped it would work better than the blue/green version. My honest opinion is that there’s nothing special about this and it wasn’t different from the other version. I don’t like primers like this because they are so thick to spread. It doesn’t feel like you get it all over your face since it’s so rich and sticky. It held the makeup okay but my makeup became crumbly right after application. When I had just finished my makeup on top of this primer, the makeup didn’t look very good. The makeup looked much better after I got home from my summer job and the makeup had settled a bit. I have acne and combination skin, I’ve heard these can cause more acne but I haven’t noticed any more pimples than I usually get, which is good. But in the end, this wasn’t a product for me both because it’s too rich and because the makeup became ruined right after application. I didn’t think it held anything much longer than my makeup does on its own. Good primer
I have tried many primers and I can say that this type of primer is the best for long-lasting makeup that lasts all day and makes the makeup sit well. My first impression of this was "WOW" I didn’t have high expectations but was really happy with it! It gives such a nice light glittery glow to the makeup. Gives a nice glow
I've been trying this for a while now, and overall I like the product. A big plus is that it doesn't have a strong scent, which suits my sensitive skin well. The spray is also easy to use, and it gives the face a beautiful, natural glow without a heavy feeling. However, I have quite oily skin, so unfortunately the product doesn't keep makeup in place all day, especially now in the summer. I think it works more as a spray that "melts" the makeup layers together and makes the finish look more natural, rather than as a proper setting spray. I believe this suits someone with normal or dry skin better, or whose skin isn't as oily as mine. Even though the product wasn't perfect for my skin type, I like the glow it gives and how it finishes the makeup. Just a basic good product
The first impression was positive, the primer is easy to apply, and it has no strong scent at all, which is a big plus for sensitive skin. The primer keeps makeup in place well for most of the day, and makeup applies evenly on top. However, I noticed that makeup didn’t adhere as well around the nose and mouth. These areas are a bit drier for me, so I believe that affected the final result. I usually use a more moisturizing primer, so this felt neutral to me. ELF primer
Really nice pink packaging and it feels luxurious for being Elf. After trying this product for a couple of weeks, I unfortunately have to diss it. It has a pleasant scent, but it is very sticky and leaves a slightly stiff and uncomfortable feeling on the skin. But I definitely think it works well as a primer. The makeup stays well from morning to night. Overall, 3 out of 5 in rating. I got this as a Lyko test pilot and it was super fun, but unfortunately not something I would buy again. Glow without irritating the skin
This is a setting spray that I have been testing for a while now during the summer. I like that it gives the skin a fresh glow while keeping the makeup looking nice longer, even when it's warm outside. The spray contains shimmer, which is usually not something I look for, but on summer evenings I actually think it gives a really nice effect. A tip is to shake the bottle well before use so that the shimmer is evenly distributed. I have sensitive skin and have not noticed any irritation. Surprised
I got to try the ELF Power Grip Primer Niacinamide and was positively surprised. I usually don’t like using primer because of the heavy feeling, but I didn’t get that feeling from this one. The skin felt really sticky after application, but the foundation applied very well and stayed all day. The niacinamide-containing formula also feels pleasant on the skin and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. The only downside is that you should use the product sparingly, as too much can cause the makeup base to roll. A bit disappointed
I was really happy and excited to try the ELF Power Grip Rose Setting Spray, but this product leaves a VERY glittery finish on the skin. The spray feels light and doesn’t feel sticky on the face and finishes the makeup neatly. The rose scent was too strong for my taste, so it might not be for everyone. The durability is quite good, but after a long day or in hot weather, the makeup still starts to wear off a bit. So wow!! This setting spray looks absolutely magical 🧚🏼♀️✨ Love the color, the scent, and the shimmer you can see through the transparent bottle. A little disappointed
Visually cute and practical, like the pink color and the pump 🩷 The product itself was unfortunately not quite for me. Power Grip is really a fitting name, but I found the makeup harder to blend, and the thick/sticky consistency gave a feeling that the skin couldn’t breathe under the makeup. It definitely gives a glow, but on my skin, after a couple of hours, it started to look a bit oily, which I usually don’t struggle with. Have been lucky enough to try the product for a few weeks now and am surprised at how good it is. Haven't used primer much before, but I really liked this one. Found the product easy to spread on the skin and it created the “sticky” layer so the makeup would last better. I've noticed a big difference whether I use it or not. The makeup lasts much longer and doesn't fade during the day like it would have if I hadn't used the product. I think the packaging of the product is very nice and good. Since it’s a tube with a pump, it’s easy to get all the product out. I have sensitive, acne-prone, and combination skin and thought it suited my skin very well. Didn’t get any breakouts. I've been lucky to try this product for a few weeks now.😊 I immediately notice a mild rose scent, which I'm not a big fan of. It also has quite a bit of glitter in it. It applies very nicely on the skin and dries quickly. It gives a nice glow. I'm not so fond of that much glow. If you like a lot of glow/glitter, this is for you. Strong Scent
I had the chance to try this setting spray for a couple of weeks 🥰 #lykotestpilot #elfcosmetics Right from the start, I noticed how strong the rose scent in the product is. I personally don’t like this scent and wouldn’t recommend it for those sensitive to fragrances! The scent also doesn’t fade from the face for a long time. The product itself is really beautiful, feels high quality, and mixes easily thanks to the metal ball in the bottle. I usually use several different sprays when applying makeup, and unfortunately, this one won’t be among them going forward. The product has a really nice spray, and because of that, it’s easy to apply too much. The “glow” mentioned in the spray is more like glitter. Even if you spray moderately, your face and clothes end up covered in glitter. It might be more suitable for festivals or other events/parties. I also didn’t notice any effect on makeup longevity. I tested the spray with different foundations and primers as well as without primer for proper testing. Difficult to apply
I had the chance to test this primer a couple of weeks ago 🥰 #lykotestpilot #elfcosmetics The very first thing I noticed is that the primer is quite difficult to spread because of its texture. The product is sticky and feels like it sets immediately, so you have to apply quite a bit to get it spread evenly. Of course, this also depends on what skincare products you use before the primer and your skin type. I didn’t notice any effect from the niacinamide, maybe it works better over a longer period. I tried the primer with several different foundations and had no issues with any of them. It’s always good to wait a moment before adding more base makeup products and not do it immediately after applying the primer 🥰 Overall, the makeup lasted significantly better than without this primer, and the product gives a lovely glow, making the skin look hydrated. To test the best results, I wore the makeup for up to 14 hours, and it looked almost the same as when I applied it. I have combination skin, so regardless of makeup, I usually have to powder a couple of times during the day. With this primer, though, I noticed there was less oiliness than usual. Overall, my verdict is that I really liked the primer. The makeup stayed well, and my skin didn’t feel dry after a day, unlike with some other primers. Rose-scented glitter
This was probably the finest spray I’ve ever sprayed! And it became my fate the first time🥲 I really like to soak my face with setting spray, and with this one, it ended up that I went to the morning shift as a disco ball😂 So my face was full of glitter. I can say that the promised glow was there, just in a slightly different form than I expected. The product description says the product is fragrance-free, but here the rose scent is really strong. I’m not a fan of that scent, but I could handle it. Very light and moisturizing product and not at all a bad price for 100ml! The metal ball inside the bottle made mixing easier. The cap was quite loose and sometimes it was loose in my makeup bag. My expectations for makeup longevity were quite high, but maybe this works more as a brightening product. I've been using a grip primer from another brand for ages that does half the work and costs more😵 This feels like spreading honey on the skin but still didn’t feel heavy on the face. The description promises evening out the skin tone, presumably referring to niacinamide, but I haven’t noticed that at least with this use. It definitely gave a lovely glow! The foundation applied beautifully on top and I really felt how this primer gripped it😄 I like the packaging and the pump worked really well! The flat design fits nicely in the makeup bag. My skin didn’t react with breakouts either. I have had the honor from Lyko to test this setting spray as #lykotestpilot. First and foremost, how beautiful isn’t it with all the shimmer in the packaging??😍 I really like the packaging, it feels sturdy and not cheap, it sprays a nice and even layer on the skin that absorbs quickly! You really get a fantastic glow from this setting spray. Up close, however, you can see that there are tiny little shimmer particles and not just glow, which is not something I personally mind but I think could be a dealbreaker for many. Affordable!!
I had the honor from Lyko to test this primer as #lykotestpilot. This primer is very sticky, which makes the rest of the makeup set on the skin. Since it is so sticky, I find it easier to dab it into the skin instead of spreading it out. I think I see a big improvement when it comes to the longevity of my makeup, I work at a spa where it’s warm and humid, but my makeup still lasts a full 8 hours when I use this primer! I love that the packaging has the combination of tube+pump, which makes it possible to get all the product out of the packaging when it starts to run out. In summary, I think the elf powergrip + 4% niacinamide primer is definitely worth its price and I will 100% buy it again when it runs out. I’ve been so lucky to test the Powergip Primer + Niacinamide 24 ml from #elfcosmetics as #lykotestpilot 🤩 It has been part of my regular makeup routine the past month 💅🏼 This primer isn’t an immediate favorite for me. Not because there’s anything wrong with the product, but more due to my own preferences. I’m not a fan when things feel sticky to apply. Also, I like things to go quickly in the morning, so I use my hands to apply the base of my makeup. It can be a bit tricky to wash it off my fingers afterwards. It feels sticky when applied, but it absorbs quickly into the skin after just a few seconds. Leaves a nice glow!
