    Fun with something new!

I got the chance to test this exciting product via #lykoinflutester, and I've been doing so for about the last month. It's a highlight treatment that comes from the Swedish brand Waterclouds, and I've tried it along with the shampoo and conditioner in the same silver series. I naturally have dark blonde hair, dyed to quite light blonde, and I have long hair that is typically Scandinavian in texture. Sensitive scalp at times, but not right now. I was excited to test this product because I've never seen anything like it before, and if it exists, I certainly haven't tested it. It's a leave-in spray in a pump bottle of 150 ml that you can use on dry or damp hair. It is supposed to brighten warm tones in blonde hair, provide moisture, shine, and softness, and counteract static electricity (!). Sounds like something perfect for me, very exciting! I've mainly used the products in this series together, but I've also tested them individually to evaluate properly. I've used this highlight treatment product on damp hair after I've showered. It doesn't make the hair easier to detangle, rather the opposite, but this is a side note since it's not made for that. It smells very good and fresh and somewhat salon-like, I think. It is light purple in color, I don't think it brightens much in itself but possibly neutralizes yellow tones a little (yes, I think so)! When it has dried in, the hair feels almost a bit coarse, but that's something I've actually liked because my hair is naturally so slippery and shiny, so it gave a bit of hold to it. I give it 4.2 stars out of 5 possible, plus points for smelling so good and for being an exciting and interesting product. Minus points for being a bit tame, but on the other hand, more pigment might have made it look patchy in the hair. It was fun to try, and I will definitely use up the product! #lykoinflutester #waterclouds #leave-in

    Nja, not bad!

I have tested this conditioner from Swedish Waterclouds via #lykoinflutester over the past month, along with the shampoo and highlight treatment in the same series. I have dark blonde hair that I have dyed light blonde, typically Scandinavian hair and with a scalp that is sensitive at times (though not right now). I have mostly used all three products together, but I have also tested using them separately. The conditioner comes in a 200 ml tube. It is dark purple in color, much more than other similar products I have used before. It contains nice ingredients like betaine and sea kale, which are supposed to strengthen the hair and provide shine and softness. It is also supposed to moisturize and make the hair easier to detangle. I think the conditioner neutralizes the yellow tones of the hair, but it doesn't make it directly easier to brush out. I would have liked a bit more of the actual conditioner effect! I have to use another conditioner after this or together with it to make it work for my long hair. It doesn't make a difference the longer I have it in, I have noticed. I don't feel completely satisfied with this conditioner, I give it 3 stars out of 5 possible because it brightens nicely but doesn't really feel like a conditioner to me! Ps! Smells really good and salon-like! #lykoinflutester #waterclouds #balsam

    I like!

I have tested this shampoo via #lykoinflutester together with the conditioner and highlight treatment in the same series. I have dark blonde hair at the base, dyed to light blonde. I have quite long hair and a relatively sensitive scalp, at least at times, so now you know a bit about the starting condition I had when I tested this shampoo. The bottle is 250 ml, quite standard. It looks nice and a bit salon-like, I think. The product has a faint but pleasant scent, it says it should be passionflower and lotus fruit - I don't know what either of those smells like, so I have no idea if that’s true 😄 The shampoo itself has a dark purple color that almost scared me a little when I first squeezed it into my hand. I thought this is going to dye my hair properly. The shampoo lathers up quite okay, better than other silver shampoos I have tested before, actually. I also don’t think it dried my hair out too much, but conditioner is always a must for me. I noticed on my hands that they were a little colored after I used this shampoo, so you can be prepared for that. My hair also got a purple tone, but that disappeared in the next wash when I used my regular shampoo. But otherwise, I think it lightened my hair a bit and cooled it down, just as it says it should do. It didn’t irritate my scalp either. Personally, I don’t mind having a little purple color in my hair, but I can imagine that not everyone appreciates that, so it might be a good thing to be aware of. I give the shampoo 4 stars out of 5 possible, because I think it’s a product that does what it says it should do. Maybe it’s a bit too pigmented, but it works fine since I use it every other or every third wash. One of the better silver shampoos I have tested. #lykoinflutester #waterclouds #schampo

    Hypat Serum!

I bought this serum a few months ago and had used up almost the entire bottle when I got a task from #lykoinflutester to review it, so that was fun! This serum has a light gel-like consistency that feels moisturizing. It sinks easily into the skin without leaving any traces. It contains many nice ingredients, such as centella extract, niacinamide, allantoin, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. There are also peptides in it, which can have anti-aging effects by improving skin texture and elasticity. The serum contains no perfumes or colorants, and it is SUPER fast! I think one pump is enough for the amount, and since the bottle is 50 ml, it has lasted me a really long time. I find the serum lovely on the skin, feels a bit cooling and hydrating. This serum fits well into most routines, it doesn’t contain anything that should clash with any other active ingredient (but of course, it’s safest to patch-test on the arm first). So all in all, is this a superduper serum? In theory, it is, and I had read so many positive reviews about it, so I was really super excited! The problem is perhaps that I had too high expectations? Because in practice, this serum didn’t do much for me at all. Sure, it doesn’t irritate, and I feel a bit hydrated when I use it. But I had kind of hoped for more! I didn’t notice any improvement in my skin, which struggles with various issues in the form of acne and eczema. It unfortunately felt a bit anticlimactic. I still think it’s a good product, but I would advise you not to hope for too much regarding what it can do. That’s at least my experience. I give it 3.8 stars, rounded up to 4 🥰 #lykoinflutester #purito #serum #k-beauty

    Beautiful in every way!

A few weeks ago, I got the chance via #lykoinflutester to test and review this cream from Purito. It’s actually a product that I’ve been eyeing for a long time and have been eager to buy, so this was an exciting task! I can just say it straight: I’m a big fan of this cream. Ingredient-wise, it’s very nice, it has 10% panthenol as the star ingredient, but also contains niacinamide, squalene, and centella extract. These ingredients work together to strengthen the skin barrier, hydrate, soothe, and repair. And I feel that this is exactly what this cream does. About a pea-sized amount of cream is enough for the face, so I would call the product relatively economical. With a 100 ml tube, I have enough for a good while! The consistency is quite light, but you can still feel that it provides a bit of lubrication. It absorbs very nicely into the skin and is both fragrance and color-free. My skin is oily, very sensitive, and constantly affected by eczema and acne. I feel that this cream suits my skin very well; it’s exactly what it wants in terms of moisture and oil. If you have drier skin, I can imagine it might work in the summer, but that it might not be sufficient right now. I use the cream both morning and night as the last step in my skincare routine, and I find it works great under makeup, which is a must for me. The only negative about this product is that I can’t think of anything bad to say about it 😂 A real star, if you ask me! #lykoinflutester #purito

    A Really Nice Shampoo!

I bought this shampoo during that magical ✨️ evening when Lyko had a 75% sale on certain brands, without having previously tested anything from XL. And I can say that I just love this shampoo! Good size of the bottle first and foremost, 400 ml is it, and I have seen that there are even larger ones (and I understand why!). However, these 400 ml last much longer than with most other shampoos, because it is concentrated! I can get by with about half the amount that I usually use, which I really like. The shampoo is transparent. It has a faint scent and a slightly cooling feel. It lathers up well, that’s where you feel that it is concentrated. The hair doesn’t feel overly rough after I’ve rinsed out the product, but of course, conditioner is a must. I’m not a shampoo luxury user or what you would call it, I usually don’t spend a lot in that category even though I don’t buy the absolute cheapest options. I have long, straight, typical Scandinavian hair with a sensitive scalp. This shampoo hasn’t caused any issues with my scalp, but since I currently don’t have any problems there, I can’t say that it has done anything positive either. But I really like the cooling sensation that I mentioned earlier, it makes me want to stand and focus on my scalp when I massage in the shampoo. I always use one of those rubber things with spikes for the scalp, which is also one of my best hair hacks 🥰 I think this shampoo is worth its price, because you can just FEEL that it is quality, I think. I like everything about it and I would absolutely consider buying it again. 4.5 stars, rounded up 😊 #lykoreview #xl #schampo #grazette

    Easy as a pancake!

As #lykoinflutester, I had the opportunity to test this eye makeup remover along with Lyko's micellar water Clean Queen. I have thus used them together to remove my makeup, the micellar water on my face and this on my eyes. I wear makeup almost daily, and relatively a lot (I think), so the product has been put to the test properly... and I am surprisingly satisfied! This is not a type of product that I usually use so often, I have a bottle of a similar type of product standing at home for when I use waterproof mascara, but otherwise I usually use oil cleansing. So at first I was a bit skeptical and unsure, but when I finally tried it, my reaction was the same as with the micellar water: oh how easy it is! I shake the bottle, pour some onto a cotton pad, and hold it against my eye for a little while to let the mascara start to dissolve. Most of the makeup then comes off in a single swipe, the mascara you have to work a little on, but that's nothing unusual. This remover is at least twice as good as the one from Essence that I had previously. I appreciate that it feels like a gentler way to remove makeup from the lashes compared to the rubbing that happens when you wash your face as usual. My skin feels completely fresh afterward, neither sticky nor oily or anything, possibly a little moisturized. You also don't need to rinse off this product, very convenient. I haven't experienced a hint of irritation from using it, even though I have very sensitive skin, especially around the eyes as I often have a bit of eczema there. It is completely fragrance-free, which we love, and it also comes in a bottle with a lovely pink color that pops in the bathroom. Honestly, I can't think of anything negative to say about it 🙂‍↔️, and next time I need a new eye makeup remover, I now know which one I will choose! Hint: it is NOT the one from Essence 😄 #lykoinflutester #bylyko #makeupremover

Made me a Clean Queen 🙌

As #lykoinflutester I have been able to test this product over the past few weeks, and I must say that my eyes have been opened to micellar water! Usually, my cleansing routine consists of a cleansing oil/balm and then a water-based gel cleanser. Since I wear makeup daily, I have found that it feels freshest and best with a double cleanse that way, and it’s very easy to fall back into old habits 🤭 Regardless, I was happy when I found out I would be testing, thinking that micellar water is always good to have at home. For example, if something goes wrong when applying makeup. So that’s how I started using the product, and I was very pleased with the result. But if you’re going to test, you should test properly, so one evening I gathered my courage, poured a good amount of product onto a cotton pad, and started swiping away the makeup. And I thought WOW, how easy it is! I removed the worst with one pad and then took another for the finishing touches. My skin felt absolutely wonderful! This micellar water also contains amino acids, Nordic sugar beet, and glycerin, which tones the skin nicely. You are left both clean and hydrated, super lovely! I appreciate the gentle ingredients that won’t clash with anything in my remaining skincare routine. Briefly, I wanted to mention how micellar water works: In micellar water, there are micelles, spherical molecules that consist of hydrophilic (water-loving) and lipophilic (fat-loving) ends. They act like magnets that bind to the dirt and oil present on the skin. You always need to use micellar water together with something like a cotton pad, because when you apply micellar water to a cotton pad and swipe it over your face, dirt, oil, and makeup are drawn to the micelles and stick to the cotton pad. This allows you to effectively cleanse your skin without having to rub or rinse off. A toner can be used by patting it in with your hands, but micellar water is a cleanser used to remove makeup and dirt, and for that, you need a cotton pad to lift the makeup off the skin. I’m writing this because I know there are those who don’t quite understand the difference between a toner and micellar water 💕 Yes, this turned out to be quite long as usual 😂 I want to summarize by saying that I am super satisfied with this product, and even though I have only tried a few micellar waters before, I feel confident in my statement that this is a good product! I will continue to use it in my cleansing routine, alternating with my usual double cleanse. All thumbs up! #lykoinflutester #bylyko #micellärvatten

    So...

...I just have to share a picture of this incredibly beautiful birthday present that I got from Eliza yesterday! I was invited for coffee by her and another classmate from the program we took together, and just the company and coffee would have been a great gift. But no, this girl put together TEN beauty products that she presented in a nice pink bag 🥰 SO generous and thoughtful, beauty products are one of the most fun things I know, and every single one of these products is new to me, so everything is very exciting! Once again, a HUGE THANK YOU to you Eliza, I was really so happy 🎁😍🎊✨️
