  • So...

...I just have to share a picture of this incredibly beautiful birthday present that I got from Eliza yesterday! I was invited for coffee by her and another classmate from the program we took together, and just the company and coffee would have been a great gift. But no, this girl put together TEN beauty products that she presented in a nice pink bag 🥰 SO generous and thoughtful, beauty products are one of the most fun things I know, and every single one of these products is new to me, so everything is very exciting! Once again, a HUGE THANK YOU to you Eliza, I was really so happy 🎁😍🎊✨️

  • SISHEIDO WIN 🤗

Yesterday I had the pleasure of finally (after various PostNord issues) picking up my prize from Sisheido at my post office! It’s three sunscreen products with SPF 50+, and quite perfect for me as I still haven’t found any good sunscreen that I like and therefore use. I hope one of these can be something for me 😊 Super happy that I won! Otherwise, it’s quiet, and on Saturday I’m turning 40! 😄 Hoping for nice weather so I can have the picnic I’ve planned 🌞 Take care everyone! 💛

I'm becoming a big fan of Revox!

I'm currently on the last drop of this bottle, and I'm totally sure that it will be a repurchase, either right now or later. I always have some type of retinoid in my evening routine, and I use it every day as long as I notice that my skin can tolerate it. With this retinal serum, there have been no issues whatsoever, and that is one of the cornerstones of what makes an effective retinoid serum - that you can use it every day, or at least as often as possible. Retinal is generally said to be a bit gentler than retinol, plus it is more effective since it only needs one conversion before it can be absorbed by the skin, instead of two or more as is needed for retinol and retinyl esters. So why not choose retinal, I think! Well, my skin wasn't feeling particularly good when I started using this serum, I was very dry. But despite this, I have never felt a hint of this serum stinging or irritating. The serum is semi-thick (can't think of a better word...), transparent and has a yellow tone. The yellow color comes from the retinal, which naturally has that shade. However, it doesn't show on the skin. It sinks in easily, gently, and willingly. I might think it leaves a TINY bit of a film behind, but that disappears with the remaining skincare, and I haven't experienced this as anything unpleasant or problematic at all. I use this in the evening, after my toners and before the marine collagen + ha serum, which is also from Revox. I finish with a face cream. I like everything about this serum, from the price tag to the formulation and its effects. I think it helps keep my skin in the good condition it has been in lately. If you're wondering about the price tag and how good such a cheap product can really be, I can say that I wondered about that too. But the answer is: REALLY GOOD, obviously! And the truth is that I have liked almost everything I have tried from this brand, and my skincare routine currently consists of it for about half. And I am super satisfied! So I just want to recommend, it's so fun that you can test and experience good skincare without being half ruined 😍 #lykoreview #revox #serum #retinal

    A little pointless...

I bought a full size of this product because I’ve heard good things about it and like everything I’ve tested from Dear Klairs so far. However, I can start by saying that this unfortunately didn’t do a thing for my skin. I’ve actually never tried a pure vitamin c serum before, as I’ve been worried that it would either irritate or not do any good. This has not been irritating, though. It’s a relatively lightweight serum in an airtight, opaque pump bottle. These are the best conditions for vitamin c not to oxidize and become ineffective. I like the bottle, and the pump mechanism works excellently. However, you have no idea where you are in usage, as you can’t see anything. I think the serum absorbs quickly and nicely into the skin without leaving any residue. It feels a bit moisturizing. I understand that you have to be consistent to see results from any skincare product, so I’ve been using this every morning after toner and before my beloved collagen serum from Revox. The positive thing is that it hasn’t caused any irritation in my skin or disturbed the skin barrier. My skin has recently been very dry and sensitive, so it could have easily gone that way. But this feels incredibly gentle - almost so gentle that I feel like nothing has happened at all, after just over half the bottle. I will continue to use up the product, but I won’t be repurchasing it. I also don’t know if I will invest in a new vitamin c serum, it might not be my thing. I have so many other products and ingredients that I really like, so I feel like I’m doing quite well anyway. Since this is my first vitamin c serum, it’s also a bit difficult to evaluate properly. But it still wouldn’t be a product that I would directly recommend, as I feel like it simply doesn’t do anything for the skin 🤭🤷🏼‍♀️ #lykoreview #klairs #serum #vitaminc I’ll add a picture later, I’m not home right now 😊

  • ???va???

This cream comes up when searching for face creams... But in the product text, I perceive it as a hand cream... all the way until the end of the text when it suddenly says "face cream"? But it goes in easily "in the hands"? Can someone please explain (and feel free to rephrase, get it right, too!) 🤔

Hey there! First off, I understand that it can easily get a bit confusing ❤ We should definitely make sure that the text makes it a bit clearer and that one better understands its broad area of use! All the best now 🌞

    Such a gem!!

So, in the last few months, I have experienced a lot of dryness in my otherwise oily skin. I thought it was something temporary, but I think it has been quite persistent, and the fact is that I am soon turning 40 and my skin is changing. I am well-versed in skincare for oily skin, but when it comes to dryness, I don't know nearly as much. So it has been a learning experience! I bought this on a whim as I thought it sounded like something that would suit me, and I didn't want to spend too much money on something that would just sit there if my skin decided to change again. But I have used this morning and night EVERY DAY since I bought it, and I have loved it from start to finish! It is thick in consistency, not exactly "elegantly" formulated. It lays on the skin like a slightly sticky layer, but that sticky layer consists of MOISTURE, so I really haven't minded it. Additionally, I follow up with Geek&Gorgeous Happier Barrier cream, and then the "film" disappears. The only negative thing I have to say is that it isn't particularly economical, I find that it goes quite fast, and when I flew to Bergen over Easter, the bottle leaked a bit because the pipette was poorly screwed on (by me). So my bottle is now almost empty after not even a month of use. But what does it matter for 69 kr? Next time (very soon) I will buy two bottles at once. It feels a bit like the hyaluronic acid serum from The Ordinary, just even thicker. And I think it hydrates even better. I find it completely amazing, my skin has been very irritated, but this has only calmed it down. It is also completely fragrance-free and color-free. Comes in a brown, simple glass bottle with a dropper of 30 ml. As I see it, this product has directly contributed to saving my skin. Whether you are dry or oily, the skin benefits from moisture, and I have somewhat easily become converted. I find it hard to see my skincare routine in the future without this product! #lykoreview #revox #serum

    Not Bad!

This is the first thing I’m trying from this brand, and I think it feels quite promising. I’ve been looking around, and Bandi has many interesting products! This is a face cream with SPF20, which I know isn’t enough, but I think it might be better than nothing, since I still haven’t found a proper sunscreen that I like and therefore use. The product comes in an airtight pump bottle of 50 ml, which is a smart format and a good amount. A fair amount comes out with the pump with each press, but I think that’s needed if you want to get that little bit of sun protection. The cream is formulated for oily skin and is supposed to give a matte result, I haven’t noticed that at all, but think it feels like a regular moisturizing cream, not matte what so ever. I would think it would work well for different skin types, I myself am oily by nature but have been very dry on the surface for the last few months. I’ve liked the hydration from this, but haven’t REALLY felt that it has been enough. But my skin is a bit extreme too, just like usual... 😑 It is lightly scented, but that doesn’t bother me at all because it smells good and not too much, it fades very quickly. The feel of it is really nice, and it has a fine consistency that is right in between thin and thick, it is pumpable. It absorbs into the skin in less than a minute, it is very comfortable to apply. There’s no white-cast. I think that if my skin had been like it usually is, I would have loved it, right now I like it. It’s also affordable. I recommend it as a light sunscreen/skin cream for oily, combination, and even normal skin, and it’s great under makeup! #lykoreview #bandi

No, you’re not! I don’t know what it is, but I’ve also had to add more moisture to my skincare routine, me who has been oily 🙈😂 Oh, I’m looking forward to hearing more about it! 🤗😍

    👄unfortunately nothing that excites👄

„As a #influtester, I had the opportunity to test this product for a month. My lips are an area that I don't usually focus on much, as they aren't super dry or anything. However, I have had some cracks in the corners of my mouth over the past year that I am constantly trying to heal. So this has been my starting point when testing this product! ⬇️ To begin with, I can say that the packaging is solid with 14 grams of product. It comes in a plastic jar with a screw lid that is neither particularly pretty nor ugly in my opinion. However, I do find that the screws on the jar are a bit troublesome, making it hard to screw the lid back on after use. Maybe a minor detail, but still something that affects my overall impression. ⬇️ The first thing that strikes me when I try the product for the first time is that it is strongly scented, just like almost all products from this brand are. I don't really like that, especially since I have sores in the corners of my mouth. ⬇️ The product is creamy and glides on smoothly. You don't need much, so this jar will last a long time. I don't find that the scent is noticeable in taste, and fortunately, it doesn't affect my mouth sores for the worse either. I've used it both during the day and at night, and it feels nice when you apply it, but I don't think it's very long-lasting. I don't wake up with soft lips after evening application, and during the day I have to reapply several times. ⬇️ I don't really know, I don't think it's directly bad, but it hasn't become a new favorite either. The fact that the products are so strongly scented makes it feel a bit outdated to me. There are many really nice products with similar purposes today, especially in K-beauty, so you need something a little extra to stand out. I don't really feel that this product has that "extra". Meeeen it was very nice to get to test! „😛👄 #lykoinflutester #mariobadescu

    • 🎀Sotnosen, thanks finis 🥰 And yes, I really agree with you. But I've heard that there are more people than you think who actually appreciate perfume in their skincare for the sensory experience. The question is just: where are these people? Because it's sooooo rare that I hear anyone say they like scented products on their face... Anyway, I think they are becoming fewer and fewer, the more people learn 🧐 So eventually, I believe it will be standard not to have perfume in their facial products for almost all brands. 🎀Thanks sweet Maria, well, it didn't become a new favorite, but fun to try as mentioned. Have you tried anything from the brand before? 🥰

    Good!!

I had the opportunity to test this product as a #lykoinflutester and I've had it for about a month. My skin is basically very oily, but lately I've also been extremely dry. Therefore, my skin has been very sensitive and troublesome, so that has been my starting point when testing this product. Hypochlorous acid is a very interesting ingredient that I've actually read quite a bit about and have also tested other products with. For those of you who are not familiar with hypochlorous acid, it is actually a substance that the body itself uses in its defense, so since it is a "skin-friendly" substance, it is also completely harmless. It can also be used on your pet, yes, it can even be ingested (but don't do that, I don't think it tastes good) 😉 It works by eliminating pathogens on the skin surface, such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi. BUT it does not kill your own skin bacteria, since it is body-owned, it somehow recognizes the difference. I could have written a novel about this, but now it's a review - so that was a bit short about hypochlorous acid, which is what this product consists of. Personally, I don't believe in using hypochlorous acid every day, even though you can do that. I think it's best to test what works best for you. I use it on my face against acne about every other day, under my arms occasionally since it counteracts bad odor, and in the intimate area after shaving. You can use it everywhere in that sense. It feels like spraying water. I have previously gone through several of Clinisoothes hypochlorous acid as well as Ekodes (not available at Lyko), and I think this one feels like the same, good thing. I like hypochlorous acid, so I don't have much negative to say other than that the spray could be a bit more finely distributed. I really appreciate that Mario Badescu has refrained from adding fragrance to this product as they do with most of their other products. You can smell a slight chlorine scent when you spray it on, but that's exactly how it should be. A little tip I also want to throw in at the end is that hypochlorous acid does not have a very long shelf life, so if you have your bottle standing for a long time, it can become inactive. Just good to know. #lykoinflutester #mariobadescu

    • Thank you for your lovely review! It's super fun to hear how you use the product in different ways. We completely agree that it's all about finding a routine that suits your own skin. Marios Spray lasts for 18 months after opening, so you have plenty of time to spray away!
