Great investment!
As #lykoinflutester I got to test the TheraFace Mask from #therabody👹 This is a mask that combines LED therapy with 504 LED lights & Massaging vibration therapy in one mask. It is made of hard silicone with 2 Velcro straps to secure around the face/head. It charges with USB-C, and the built-in battery (there is no box or separate battery/cable/remote control) lasts maybe for about 4 full treatments🔋 It should be noted that I chose not to use their vibration therapy, hence the battery lasts longer. First, a few comments on the quality of the hardware: 🔨 I have two masks before that are called Silk’n LED EMS Face Mask (3,200 kr/243 LED lights) & CurrentBody Skin LED 4-in-1 Zone Facial (5,999 kr/360 high-quality LED lights for optimal effect), so I will use them as a bit of comparison. My previous masks are made of flexible silicone, while this one is made of hard plastic. So the fit around the face I think is a bit worse on this one from TheraFace. Also, it doesn’t have holes for either mouth or nose. This doesn’t make it in any way difficult to breathe, I want to point out, but it can feel a bit "constricted". In comparison, CurrentBody has holes for the mouth (& nose) so you can drink while wearing it, while the Silk’n mask only has a hole for the nose. The Velcro straps can be adjusted on the head and also around, this makes it sit well on and you can move around however you want with it on. However, I found it annoying that it wasn’t really possible to have my hair up or in a hair clip because they cross each other like a cross behind the head. But if you let go of one strap, it works reasonably well. This mask has 2 small buttons on each side of the mask, one adjusts the vibration therapy and the other starts/adjusts different programs for LED therapy. ➖ I also think it sat a bit like that around the eyes/nose before I figured out how to put it on my face. So at first, I got a little "imprint" from that. ➖ I can say that I don’t use the vibration therapy at all, tried it 2 times but I just found it made me dizzy and absolutely did not relax haha. It just vibrated at the temples, there is nothing scientific behind "vibration therapy" and nothing I think really fits into this product (or something you should pay "extra" for, I think). ➕ The biggest plus here I would say is that there is no cord or heavy battery/box with it! 👌 So I don’t have to put anything in my bra or always sit still or have pockets on me, big plus (though I notice that the battery suffers from this as I need to charge my 2 other masks half as often). I have only run the 12-minute program that automatically switches between the lights to get the full effect of all the mask's lights. 👌 I like that it has the option to run all "lights" but also that you can choose between the different "lights". 💡 The different wavelengths are: -Red Light: 633 ± 10nm, - Infrared Light: 830 ± 10nm, - Blue light: 415 ± 10nm, For comparison: 🧩 CurrentBody Skin LED 4-in-1 Zone Facial: Red (633nm), deep red (660nm), near-infrared light (NIR) (830nm) yellow (590nm) & green (525nm) 🧩 Silk’n LED EMS Face Mask: Red (633nm) + Dark red (660nm) + Near-infrared (830nm) + Deep Near-infrared (1072nm) & Amber (605nm) (Blue (405nm): But the blue LED lamp is integrated into the remote control) 💡 This has 504 LED lights with Red 633nm & Infrared Light: 830 nm wavelength, which is really good! 🧬 These wavelengths are the most researched that are supposed to give the best results! So that’s a big plus! ➕ 🔬 And that research shows that combining red and NIR is best, and you can do that with this👍 (💡 For more description/info regarding wavelengths & research on this, read my review on the mask from Silk’n; lyko.com/sv/silkn/silk-n-led-ems-face-mask). ❗ My results:❗ Unfortunately, since I have used LED masks for several years consistently and also the masks have almost exactly the same "effect" (wavelengths), I don’t see any direct difference/result from this. BUT I would absolutely recommend this! Partly because of the price, which is actually really good for how many wavelengths & lights you get, and partly because you avoid cords. ♥️ I firmly believe that LED masks work, and there is a lot of research that supports it that can be read, BUT then you also have to use it about every other day, I would say. 🪄 But if you are a skincare nerd like me, who absolutely uses my mask at least once a day, then I definitely think this is worth investing in! Just keep in mind that results take time! ⚠️ And if you have rosacea, be careful as NIR light can trigger this. Also, such masks don’t do magic! Use sunscreen and other skincare to get the best results.

Highlighter that can be customized to taste
✨As #lykoinflutester I got to test the Paradise Lumi Glotion Highlighter in the shade 903 Medium Glow from #lorealparis ✨ ✨This is a creamy product that comes in a simple tube. It comes in different shades, and I actually had one in a lighter shade than the one I got to test (I just see that they have changed the packaging a bit). So I will show pictures of the difference between them mm. 🌟I would say that this can give you a metallic highlighter that shows a lot or just a subtle glow. 1. You can use this under your foundation as a primer since it provides a lot of moisture and doesn't have glitter particles in it. And the less full coverage foundation you have, the more it will show through. 2. Then you can use it with a damp sponge on your foundation, and it will also give a pretty subtle glow. 3. And if you want a lot of glow, you take a dense brush and stipple/tap on your foundation 👌💡 💄As I said, I tested the medium 903 shade, and it is too dark for me to use as a highlighter to my taste. For me, medium becomes a glowy base that I can mix with my foundation to add moisture/glow/darker shade or have underneath. But not a color I would use on my foundation as a highlighter. It also has a slightly yellow/brownish warm base which doesn't quite match my skin tone. 🌟On the other hand, the light 902 shade that I had at home before gives me the effect I want. It has a light/cool pearl base. But this highlighter holds super well no matter how you use it, has no scent, is cheap and a little goes a long way! Blends out very easily too 👌 So I highly recommend this!1 product in post Highlighter that can be customized to taste - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Expensive serum with no effect
As #lykoinflutester I got to test the Plump Right Back Primer + Serum 30 ml from #nyxprofessionalmakeup 🍋 🍍 This is a primer/serum that is supposed to provide moisture and increase the longevity of your makeup. 🐊 Personally, I only use Elf gripping primer because I think it's the only one I've found that actually increases the longevity of my makeup and makes a difference. Then I have a glowy primer or liquid highlighter for certain parts of my face as primer too. But for moisture, I use my regular skincare with essence, toner, serum, cream, etc. So I don't want to spend money on yet another "unnecessary" step😅 that is many anyway... 😂 🍋 It has a good pump bottle and the product is transparent and gel-like. It makes the skin look hydrated and a bit sticky but sinks in very quickly for me. It seems to work with all my foundations (regardless of water or oil base). And works well on top of my other skincare. 🍍 But for me, this makes no difference/effect that I notice. It's like I have a regular day cream on. 🙄 So therefore, I wouldn't recommend this product if you already have a skincare routine that gives you moisture.1 product in post Expensive serum with no effect229 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Too expensive
Gee super smooth hair and makes it dry relatively quickly BUT gets super hot! I've had several of these tools but none have gotten as hot as this one. Feels like a flat iron with a blow dryer. But as I said, for frizzy hair it's super good. The only downside is the price and that there isn't a cool setting, so it's hard to keep the curls because of that. It is also maybe heavy and a bit hard to clean because it has hard plastic spikes and not a brush with bristles. So there are probably cheaper variants that have a brush head that doesn't get as hot, are easier to clean, and that you can even remove and clean the filter on. So buy if on sale, otherwise not worth it, I would say.1 product in post Too expensive2247 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The post was made 3 monthsRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Works👌
As #lykoinflutester I received the Dandruff Protector Conditioner 200 ml from #neccin. 🦋I have long bleached, dry, damaged hair with an oily scalp. I've had a lot of hair loss in recent years and I'm trying to give my hair a lot of moisture, protection & not wash/heat treat it too much. 🐨So I would probably say that this conditioner is not for my hair since I don't have issues with dandruff directly. 🫧So this conditioner is really not for my hair type since I have an oily scalp and not direct issues with dandruff. I do get it sometimes though, and then I have used products with ketoconazole in them that help with hair loss and dandruff according to research. Fungoral shampoo 20 mg/ml 120 ml 100 kr for example. 🫧The consistency is a bit thicker but very economical. The bottle is easy to store and get the contents out of. 👃I don't really like the scent, can't quite explain what it smells like. A bit soapy but more on the fragrance-free side. And I like fragrance in my hair products😅 🪮But I tested this conditioner for about 3 weeks (together with the shampoo), and what I like about it is that it leaves the hair soft but not heavy. As someone with straight, flat hair that easily gets oily at the scalp but has extremely dry lengths, I want something that moisturizes the lengths, makes it soft but doesn't weigh it down. And I think this does that. What I miss is that it might not make my hair as moisturized as I would like. But I fix that with products after washing 👍 But as I said, I don't have dandruff so I can't say much about that effect... ✨But I also gave it to a friend who got to try it, as she has issues with dandruff and she thought it worked really well for her dandruff! So I give this conditioner and the corresponding shampoo a higher rating because she loved it 👍 So the effect together with the price makes me absolutely recommend this conditioner! 😊1 product in post Works👌114 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Cozy autumn scent
As #lykoinflutester I got to try Fiamma Eau de Parfum 55 ml from #FERRAGAMO 🫚🪵 The scent is for me an autumn/winter scent as it has a rather strong/dark. This is not a fresh, floral, or sweet scent but rather the opposite. It is deep, musky, and woody. 👃 On the first sniff, I feel it smells like a man, a manly man with 🧔 beard😂😅 Can't explain it better. But it grows on the skin and it reminds me of my favorite Tom Ford Noir Extreme with its saffron and depth, but not as much cinnamon 😍 🍐 I don't smell pear but amber definitely comes through and it gets a bit sweet after a while, with jasmine🍬 The scent absolutely lasts all day, as it should with an Eau de parfum, and the bottle is beautiful. However, it's a pity that it's a clear bottle, I would have wished for an opaque bottle so that it holds better in the sun (my bottles stand on a shelf where the sun shines in). 🪵 Very good perfume with a lot of character that fits very well for autumn or winter that grows the longer you wear it 🌵1 product in post Cozy autumn scent - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Fresh Scent of Woman
As #lykoinflutester, I got to try the New York Eau de Parfum 50 ml from #OSCARDELARENTA 🍬🪷🌸🍭🩰 The scent is a fresh spring/summer scent ☀️ but works year-round. 🩰It’s not heavy but very light, fresh, and floral🌸 It smells a bit like fabric softener/soap in my world as the jasmine takes over first. But after a while on the skin, it smells more like warm vanilla, gaining more depth 🪷 For me, this is a bit too much like grandma's soap/detergent 👵, but that’s probably because I prefer deeper “dark” perfumes. It doesn’t quite last a whole day but almost. The bottle is incredibly beautiful! 🩰🌷 It suits someone who wants a pretty sweet fresh scent of jasmine/vanilla/gardenia, smells very feminine to me 👛👡1 product in post Fresh Scent of Woman - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Pretty okay LED mask🎭
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test the Facial LED Mask EMS from #silkn👹 This is a mask that combines LED therapy & EMS/microcurrent in one mask. It is made of flexible silicone with 2 Velcro straps to secure it around the face/neck... It charges with USB-C and the batteries might last for about 1 hour of treatment🔋 First, a few comments on the actual quality of the hardware... 🔨 I have a mask from before called CurrentBody Skin LED 4-in-1 Zone Facial, so I will use it as a little comparison. It has a much better grip and the quality of the Velcro feels much higher. This should be noted that it is a mask that costs 5999 kr, not 3995 kr like this one. Even after the first use, the Velcro starts to break😬 I am picky here because of the price, it is still an expensive product! 🤑 The mask from Silkn feels cheaper as the Velcro pulls in my hair, is narrow, and sits in such a place that I have to pull it around my neck😬 However, it stays well in place and is nice to wear! 👍 The remote is much lighter in Silkn than Currentbody's, which feels cheaper BUT also makes it easy: you can have it in your bra or in the waistband if you don't have pockets in your clothes. Silkn's mask also has a timer that counts down so you can see exactly how much time is left on your treatment👌 A big minus though because this is a combo mask that has lots of metal conductors in the mask, for the EMS function (think LED and Foreo 🐻 in one) there are no lights in those areas. So around the eyes and on the cheeks, it is instead focused on EMS and no lights 😶🤔 So there it gets a minus compared to a mask that only has LED. But I like the idea of having a mask with both to reduce treatment time if you want both. I haven't tested the EMS function as much as the actual LED lights since I have other EMS devices at home that I use regularly, so this function wouldn't have given me any results. ➖ ⚠️And for all the metal parts that were furthest in, never touched my skin unless I held the mask against my face, so the function didn't work 🙄 So I didn't get the maximum out of that function plus I think you need to have a movement of an EMS device plus a gel for the best contact 🔌 It has 3 different "programs" with different wavelengths that are all 10 minutes long & should focus on slightly different issues. The different wavelengths/"colors": - Red (633nm) + Dark Red (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm) + Deep Near-Infrared (1072nm) + Amber (605nm) and Blue (405nm): The blue LED lamp is integrated into the remote control. This has 243 LED lamps while my other mask has 360 from Currentbody... ➕But these have the same wavelength on their "red" wavelengths, which are the ones that also have the most research on them that should give the best results! So that is a big plus! ➕ And that research shows that combining red and NIR is best, and you can do that with this👍 💎But, my other one also has blue light, which is the reason I bought it because I have acne! Silkn has chosen to have its blue light in the remote, so if you want to use it, you have to sit for 10 minutes with it on the area you want to treat, which I don't find convenient. 📢📚A little more description about the wavelengths I found: One reason red and NIR are so frequently used in high quality LED devices is because they are within the “optical window” of ideal photobiomodulation (this is sometimes referred to as the “tissue window”). That window is said to be between 610 and 860 (Karu & Kolyakov, 2005). More recently, some other researchers argue the optical window extends up to 1100 nm (Lima et al., 2020). This optical window offers the best penetration of light. So for the most part, you want to look for red (typically 633nm, but somewhere between 630-660nm) and NIR (look for 820-840nm, with 830nm being the gold standard) as those wavelengths have the most evidence to support them. In studies that compared red wavelengths alone compared to red plus NIR, the red plus NIR had the best results across a range of outcomes related to photoaging. ❗My results:❗ I have experienced that during this period my acne has gotten much better! BUT I cannot rule out that this has to do with my skincare routine, diet, or something else instead of the mask. I have used this about 20 times 3 times a week but cannot say that I have noticed anything else special with my skin, but I also know that it takes time AND that I have already used my other mask before... ➖ Minus it gets compared to my other mask, and I am currently using Silkn's program 2 first and then have my other one for the blue wavelength🤣 In short! 😄😉 This is a good mask to buy if you want and can afford to test LED therapy, at a good price that will give you results if you use it at least 4 times a week for 10 minutes, I would say. There is no research that says you can use LED too much, and I usually use it more than 10 minutes BUT it is not recommended by Silkn. Expect that results take time though! And if you have rosacea, be careful as NIR light can trigger this. Also, such masks do not work magic! Instead, use sunscreen and other skincare to get the best results.
