Pretty okay LED mask🎭
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test the Facial LED Mask EMS from #silkn👹 This is a mask that combines LED therapy & EMS/microcurrent in one mask. It is made of flexible silicone with 2 Velcro straps to secure it around the face/neck... It charges with USB-C and the batteries might last for about 1 hour of treatment🔋 First, a few comments on the actual quality of the hardware... 🔨 I have a mask from before called CurrentBody Skin LED 4-in-1 Zone Facial, so I will use it as a little comparison. It has a much better grip and the quality of the Velcro feels much higher. This should be noted that it is a mask that costs 5999 kr, not 3995 kr like this one. Even after the first use, the Velcro starts to break😬 I am picky here because of the price, it is still an expensive product! 🤑 The mask from Silkn feels cheaper as the Velcro pulls in my hair, is narrow, and sits in such a place that I have to pull it around my neck😬 However, it stays well in place and is nice to wear! 👍 The remote is much lighter in Silkn than Currentbody's, which feels cheaper BUT also makes it easy: you can have it in your bra or in the waistband if you don't have pockets in your clothes. Silkn's mask also has a timer that counts down so you can see exactly how much time is left on your treatment👌 A big minus though because this is a combo mask that has lots of metal conductors in the mask, for the EMS function (think LED and Foreo 🐻 in one) there are no lights in those areas. So around the eyes and on the cheeks, it is instead focused on EMS and no lights 😶🤔 So there it gets a minus compared to a mask that only has LED. But I like the idea of having a mask with both to reduce treatment time if you want both. I haven't tested the EMS function as much as the actual LED lights since I have other EMS devices at home that I use regularly, so this function wouldn't have given me any results. ➖ ⚠️And for all the metal parts that were furthest in, never touched my skin unless I held the mask against my face, so the function didn't work 🙄 So I didn't get the maximum out of that function plus I think you need to have a movement of an EMS device plus a gel for the best contact 🔌 It has 3 different "programs" with different wavelengths that are all 10 minutes long & should focus on slightly different issues. The different wavelengths/"colors": - Red (633nm) + Dark Red (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm) + Deep Near-Infrared (1072nm) + Amber (605nm) and Blue (405nm): The blue LED lamp is integrated into the remote control. This has 243 LED lamps while my other mask has 360 from Currentbody... ➕But these have the same wavelength on their "red" wavelengths, which are the ones that also have the most research on them that should give the best results! So that is a big plus! ➕ And that research shows that combining red and NIR is best, and you can do that with this👍 💎But, my other one also has blue light, which is the reason I bought it because I have acne! Silkn has chosen to have its blue light in the remote, so if you want to use it, you have to sit for 10 minutes with it on the area you want to treat, which I don't find convenient. 📢📚A little more description about the wavelengths I found: One reason red and NIR are so frequently used in high quality LED devices is because they are within the “optical window” of ideal photobiomodulation (this is sometimes referred to as the “tissue window”). That window is said to be between 610 and 860 (Karu & Kolyakov, 2005). More recently, some other researchers argue the optical window extends up to 1100 nm (Lima et al., 2020). This optical window offers the best penetration of light. So for the most part, you want to look for red (typically 633nm, but somewhere between 630-660nm) and NIR (look for 820-840nm, with 830nm being the gold standard) as those wavelengths have the most evidence to support them. In studies that compared red wavelengths alone compared to red plus NIR, the red plus NIR had the best results across a range of outcomes related to photoaging. ❗My results:❗ I have experienced that during this period my acne has gotten much better! BUT I cannot rule out that this has to do with my skincare routine, diet, or something else instead of the mask. I have used this about 20 times 3 times a week but cannot say that I have noticed anything else special with my skin, but I also know that it takes time AND that I have already used my other mask before... ➖ Minus it gets compared to my other mask, and I am currently using Silkn's program 2 first and then have my other one for the blue wavelength🤣 In short! 😄😉 This is a good mask to buy if you want and can afford to test LED therapy, at a good price that will give you results if you use it at least 4 times a week for 10 minutes, I would say. There is no research that says you can use LED too much, and I usually use it more than 10 minutes BUT it is not recommended by Silkn. Expect that results take time though! And if you have rosacea, be careful as NIR light can trigger this. Also, such masks do not work magic! Instead, use sunscreen and other skincare to get the best results.Translated from swedish

Pretty okay but...
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to test this heat protectant from #izelbeauty. I have dry bleached hair with an oily scalp, wash my hair about 2 times a week, and try to focus on moisture. So I want products that give my hair moisture, shine & less frizz. This serum is supposed to repair, give shine, and protect the hair from damage. Also provide "intensive" care, combat frizz, etc. Overall, this little tube claimed to do it all😅 I can start by saying that this is a very thin formula, just like the name suggests, it’s more of a gel serum that isn’t very concentrated if you have dry hair or just slightly thicker hair. This little tube won’t last long, but the price is very good, so it gets a plus for that. The product consists mostly of different silicones, which is noticeable in how it behaves in the hair and the consistency, nothing negative, but I prefer a product that provides more moisture and consists of more oils. This lays down like a protective layer and gives shine and softness, but my hair still feels dry to me. I liked and would rather recommend their heat protectant, which gives almost the same effect, and to use something else beforehand that provides moisture. Positive that it could be used on both wet and dry hair👍 I didn’t experience that it reduced drying time, though, and shortly after the silicones, a lot of fragrance ingredients come in this product, and I can see that! Like the other products in this series, it has a very strong, special scent that lingers in the hair for a long time... This one smells less than the others but still smells a lot... But the hair feels smooth and shiny after use and doesn’t make the hair greasy either👍 But what brings the rating down the most is, as mentioned, the smell! I can’t describe it other than that it’s extremely strong and stays in the hair until you wash it again. And I really don’t like it! So the problem is that even if you would like the effect of this product, as I do, you have to like the scent because you won’t get rid of it.. And it’s hard to know if you will like it because they can’t really explain it... If you are sensitive to scents, don’t buy the Shine & Repair series from this brand (tested conditioner, shampoo, heat protectant & shine serum, and they all smell the same).Translated from swedish

Good product except for the smell!
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to test this heat protectant from #izelbeauty. I have dry, bleached hair with an oily scalp, wash my hair about 2 times a week, and try to focus on moisture. So I want products that give my hair moisture, shine & less frizz. This protectant is supposed to provide protection up to 220 degrees, help your styling last better without weighing down the hair, and give softness and strength to your hair. Reduces hair damage/heat damage. I find this spray easy to distribute in the hair and it makes it very soft and shiny. Easy to detangle and feels a bit like it gives a protective layer when you then blow-dry your hair (like silicones do), so totally okay. The price is also very good. I can't say much about the reduced risk of hair damage/fallout or protection against heat damage for short-term use, but it feels smooth and shiny after use. Doesn't make the hair greasy either👍 But the thing that brings the rating down the most is the smell! I can't describe it other than that it's extremely strong and lingers in the hair until you wash it again. And I really don't like it! So the problem is that even if you would like the effect of this product, as I do, you have to like the smell because you won't get rid of it.. And it's hard to know if you'll like it because they can't really explain it... If you're sensitive to scents, don't buy the Shine & Repair series from this brand (tested conditioner, shampoo, heat protectant & shine serum and they all smell the same). But as I said, I still think it's an okay product that my hair seems to like, for a good price, but the smell is terrible and makes me want to give this product away and never buy it myself. There are so many other good heat protectants that I like the smell of that give the same if not better effect😬Translated from swedish

Can't stand the smell...
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to test this conditioner from #izelbeauty. I have dry, bleached hair with an oily scalp, wash my hair about 2 times a week, and try to focus on moisture. This conditioner is supposed to provide strong, shiny, and soft hair. Reduce hair damage, protect against heat damage, and is suitable for all hair types. I find this conditioner easy to distribute in my hair and it makes it very soft and shiny. It feels a bit like it gives a protective layer when you then blow-dry your hair (like silicones do). So I like the "effect" on my hair. I usually don't notice much difference between conditioners, but here I actually noticed a positive effect👍 I can't say much about the reduced risk of hair damage/breakage or protection against heat damage, but it feels smooth and shiny after use. However, I don't like how "bulky" the bottle is, it doesn't fit among my other bottles. But what brings the rating down the most is the smell! I can't describe it other than that it's extremely strong and lingers in the hair until you wash it again. And I really don't like it! Low rating due to the scent
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to test this shampoo from #izelbeauty. I have dry, bleached hair with an oily scalp, wash my hair about 2 times a week, and try to focus on moisture. This shampoo is supposed to repair, add shine, reduce hair damage, protect against heat damage, and is suitable for all hair types. I think this shampoo lathers super well, so it's economical. It also cleanses my hair without it feeling oily right away and makes it easy to detangle even without conditioner. However, I find that my scalp gets oily again quickly with this shampoo, but my lengths like it at least. I can't say much about the reduced risk of hair damage/breakage or protection against heat damage, but it feels smooth and shiny after use. I also don't like how "bulky" the bottle is, it doesn't fit among my other bottles. But what brings the rating down the most is the scent! Not worth the money!
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I had the opportunity to test this treatment Premiére Concentré Décalcifiant Ultra-Réparateur Pre-Shampoo Treatment together with their shampoo Premiére Bain Décalcifiant Réinnovateur Shampoo in the same series (they should be used together). 👋 First, I can mention that I have long bleached, dry, damaged hair with an oily scalp. I've had a lot of hair loss in recent years and I'm trying to give my hair a lot of moisture, protection & not wash/heat treat it too much. 🚿 I wash my hair about 2 times a week. 🤧 This is a preparatory treatment that should be used together with the shampoo in the same series. You should first apply this treatment to the lengths for 5 minutes, then apply the shampoo directly on and then rinse off. 🚿 I like that this bottle has a pump, making it easy to get the right amount, and that it smells quite neutral and the consistency is easy to distribute/economical. 😢 But in general, I'm not so fond of pre-shampoo products because they don't feel very user-friendly. Partly because it's an extra step that many don't have time for. Also, I often forget it just because it has to go on before the shampoo😅🤦♀️ So I prefer after treatments instead. But that's just my own preference... 👋 ⚠️ However, this treatment together with the shampoo made my hair extremely heavy and greasy quickly! So for me, this treatment didn't work... 🤔 Since I don't have high levels of lime in my water, I can't say if it works as they write "lime removing". And I don't like that they say it should be used just with their shampoo in the same series, so you should buy the shampoo for almost 500 kr for the treatment to "work"... That makes it a "treatment" for about 1200 kr! ⚠️ So for 774 kr! I think there are better moisturizing/reparative treatments in my opinion. I would rather invest in the K18 treatment, which has a lot of studies/research backing it up and is more economical and works really well on damaged hair according to my own experience! 🥰 #KERASTASETranslated from swedish

I've had a lot of hair loss in recent years and I'm trying to give my hair a lot of moisture, protection & not wash/heat treat it too much. 🚿 I wash my hair about 2 times a week. 🤧 I think most hair masks do the same thing (moisturize, prevent hair breakage due to reduced friction, etc.) and I usually don't notice any special difference between them unless they have some active ingredient that I know gives a special effect. 🚿 But this hair mask smells nice with a bit of 🍋 citrus and makes the hair very soft and shiny, it is also economical👍 ⚠️ But here I would really say that it is not worth almost 800 kr! That is a crazy high price for a hair mask that I see does not have any special inci list/formulation. There are better moisturizing/reparative masks in my opinion. Both from Kerastase and other brands! #KERASTASETranslated from swedish

Not for oily scalp!
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I had the opportunity to test this shampoo Premiére Bain Décalcifiant Rénovateur Shampoo. 🧧 This shampoo is to be used as a decalcifying treatment together with their Premiére Concentré Décalcifiant Ultra-Réparateur Pre-Shampoo Treatment (which I have also tested). You should first have the treatment in your hair for about 5 minutes, then apply this shampoo directly on the treatment and then rinse immediately. 🍀 The shampoo smells really good but quite strong of a bit of lime/lemon. It is creamy in consistency, lathers really well and is likely economical/lasts long. 💠 My hair felt incredibly soft and shiny afterwards but at the same time heavy and without volume. 🚫 BUT this is not for oily scalp! My hair felt really soft after this shampoo but it looks like I haven't washed it in a week already later that day! I used it with and without the pre-shampoo treatment, but with the same effect (even without or with the conditioner in the same series). 🤔 Since I don't have high lime content in my water, I can't say if it works as they write "lime removing". ⚠️ For 429 kr! I think there are better moisturizing/reparative shampoos. But if you have extremely dry hair and scalp especially or curly, dry hair, you might like this. #KERASTASETranslated from swedish
