As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to try the #ESTEELAUDER Foundation Double Wear Stay‑In‑Place Makeup SPF10. This is a classic foundation that has been reformulated partly due to the EU's new regulations on silicones. The company wanted better "skin-caring" properties and more shades. They claim with this new formulation that it should be "vibrantly" matte, control shine but at the same time add moisture. Be light on the skin, give a flawless finish, be buildable, and have 36 hours of wear! No bad claims...😅 👩‍🦰My skin; I am 36 years old and have underlying hormonal acne that I have more or less problems with. My skin can be surface dry and at the same time have a slightly oily T-zone. I struggle with fine lines, dry patches, and sometimes pimples I want to hide. 🫰What kind of base do I like? I am a bit of a makeup and skincare nerd and love trying new makeup products and Korean skincare🫶 🏵️I make sure to prep my skin with lots of moisture before applying my base/makeup so that my skin is hydrated. Then I like to use either REFY's glow and sculpt primer or Elf's gripping primer because both make my base last better throughout the day. I like a foundation that is light to medium coverage and buildable. It should give a bit of glow, preferably be dewy, but it should set well with a little powder or preferably without so that it lasts at least 12 hours. It should suit dry skin and have a slightly thicker, creamier consistency. 🫖The packaging: ➖This is a bottle with a screw cap WITHOUT A PUMP, and that has bothered me since the old version I used years ago. That such an expensive foundation from a big and well-known brand doesn't come with a pump is, in my eyes, completely unreasonable. A clear minus for that ➖ ➕The bottle itself feels luxurious though. It is glass and has a heavy, exclusive feel. The previous version was completely square, while this one has more rounded edges – something I think looks really nice➕ 🌈Shade: I used the shade 2C0 Cool Vanilla, which was liiiiittle too light for my taste. It matches my neck well but I usually want it a bit darker so it matches my chest better and I usually think slightly darker shades suit me better. ❄️The shade is cool as they write, which is an improvement from the old one where I remember all the cool shades then leaned towards warm/orange. 🚨For reference, my best fall/winter matches otherwise are: ♦️Shiseido revitalessence skin glow; 240 Quartz ♦️Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer natural dewy; 1C Cameo ♦️Dior forever skin glow (newest version); 1CR 📢Review⚠️ I tested this foundation about 3 times, wore it a full day twice. The last time I tested it, I had to remove it and use another foundation for work because it looked awful, to put it bluntly😬 ⚠️The other 2 days I had no foundation left after about 5 hours on my chin, around and on my nose. ❗3DFE0FThis foundation is thin and runny, with medium coverage that cannot be built up. If you try to apply an extra layer, the result immediately becomes cakey. It highlights all dry patches, gives a kind of glow but in an artificial way, and sits like a film on top of the skin. On me, it does not set at all so that the application of my cream products does not work with it. I have tried different primers, but as soon as I apply the rest of my makeup, the foundation moves. I want to be able to use cream rouge, cream bronzer, and similar on top of the base — but that doesn't work with this one. I also don't want to powder my whole face and be forced to use only powder products, which might have helped the product, but that is not a base routine that suits me. 🚫No, this was really a flop for me, does not suit what I prefer and unfortunately not my skin. It settles into pores and dry patches, covers only light to medium and cannot be built up without looking cakey. It does not set or hold on the skin.

Good grip
Sits really well on my skin and gives my foundation a good grip so it lasts better. Would absolutely buy this over the OG from Milk Makeup. Tried both and Milk’s doesn’t work for all foundations for me and peels off very easily, leaving small product flakes on the skin. The Elf version never does that! Absorbs much better and is more economical. It’s a bit thinner in consistency and not as sticky/tacky but I think that’s just good because it sticks better and makes the foundation last just as well 👆👌 don’t need to have glue on my face for the primer to work 😂 #lykoreview

Nice light serum
Good price, nice applicator, long-lasting and does what it’s supposed to! I’ve tried many serums and eye creams and usually don’t think they do much. I have some fine lines around my eyes, can be a bit dry and puffy in the morning. So I like to have something that gives moisture, preferably with a bit of caffeine to reduce puffiness. This serum is easy to apply, just click down the applicator and serum comes out at the metal ball, and you don’t even need a full click to cover both eyes. The metal roller stays nicely cool which reduces puffiness a bit around the eyes and feels refreshing. So even though there’s no caffeine in this one, it still helps. But it has lots of other good stuff in it 😁 like different peptides, niacinamide, glycerin, and sodium acetylated hyaluronate for moisture, collagen for plumping, etc. It has some oils in it but the consistency of this serum is so light and absorbs quickly and gives moisture that you don’t notice it. Will definitely buy again because even though it’s only 10 ml (eye products usually have at least 15), I think it will last forever! 🥰 #lykoreview

Smells good and makes hair soft
Easy to distribute, smells really good, a bit tropical, and is concentrated. I have an oily scalp and basically have to wash my hair every day to keep it fresh. But at the same time, I have dry, bleached lengths. The conditioner makes the hair extremely soft and smooth without my hair feeling greasy faster than usual. I almost think it’s one of the conditioners that has made my hair the least greasy in the shower and very easy to detangle when drying. The hair also looks very extra shiny from this 👌 Definitely recommend, especially if you have dry hair. #lykoreview

Super soft hair
Lathers super well, smells really good, a bit tropical, and is concentrated. I have an oily scalp and basically have to wash my hair every day to keep it fresh. But at the same time, I have dry lengths that are bleached. The shampoo makes the hair soft and smooth and still seems to clean well without my hair feeling greasy faster than usual. Definitely recommend, especially if you have dry hair. #lykoreview

There are cheaper and better options
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to try the Mighty Patch Invisible+ from #HERO. This is the so-called hydrocolloid patch that became popular from Korea initially. The idea with these is to put it on an "active" pimple to avoid/stop picking or squeezing it. And thereby avoid scars and making the pimple worse, as well as to "conceal" them. I use "patches" daily for "open" pimples on my face, but have never used this brand. I say open because I use these patches to heal my pimples faster and sometimes to encapsulate active ingredients or if I want to wear makeup but don’t want to put makeup on an active pimple. So I put them on a pimple that I have already emptied. For "closed pimples" I always just use Basiron because I don’t think a patch can do anything for those types of pimples. I also never use just the hydrocolloid patch, only those with active ingredients in them, as I don’t see the point of those without and buy the ones with salicylic acid, niacinamide, or similar. My favorites are from Cosrx, their master patch, but Mizon’s clear patch is also a favorite. At the same time, I can put a layer of Basiron underneath and encapsulate it with such a patch. It should be added that I have hormonal acne and have had some kind of acne since I was about 13 years old. The first thing I can note is that these are 24 pieces for 139 SEK, which is expensive for regular hydrocolloid patches. This Invisible+ sticks pretty well and isn’t very visible on the skin because of its thin edges, much better than their Original variant. Another downside, however, is that they only come in one size. So in short, good adhesive and not very visible, but if you compare with other brands and variants, they are more expensive and worse because they are pricey for the quantity and don’t have any active ingredients. I would simply buy the ones from Mizon: Good Bye Blemish Clear Patch, which are really good, cost about 90 SEK for 44 pieces, but come in different sizes and with active ingredients. If you want some that are 5 stars for me and a bit better than Mizon but quite expensive, then it’s the COSRX master patches that matter. I always have a pack of those at home.

This original variant is also very thick and therefore doesn’t stick well to the face and is very visible. The same type/thickness is available on Amazon but with many more in a pack, cheaper AND with active ingredients (e.g., Butut acne patches). They also only come in one size, which is also a downside. So, in short, these are not worth the price if you compare them with other brands and variants. I would recommend buying their Invisible Plus, which I also got to try if you, against expectations, want to try the brand. They have a thinner edge that makes them stick better. Otherwise, I would simply buy these from Amazon or the ones from Mizon, which are really good. If you want some that are 5 stars for me but quite expensive, then it’s the COSRX master patches that count. I always have a pack of those at home.

As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try the Nose Patch from #hero. Unfortunately, this is one of those products I would never recommend to anyone! It has nothing to do with the brand, but these "nose strips" never have any effect on your pores. What helps against blackheads on the nose is BHA toner or AHA, daily. These strips often do more harm to the skin than good. I won’t write a long review this time ;) but just recommend searching for these strips on YouTube, for example, and you will understand... These ones from Hero are both uncomfortable and have no effect at all. I had them on for about 1 hour. No, please don’t throw your money away but spend it on, for example, The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 100 ml, use it every evening and watch the magic happen!

I never thought the OG beautiblender was worth the price because they always break, like the second time I wash it. I wash my sponge before every makeup, which is about 4 times a week, so I require the sponges I use to be extremely durable. This one is moderately firm when wet, not as soft as the OG BB but not as hard as I think Real Techniques are. It holds up extremely well and is soooo easy to clean completely. Which I also think many sponges are not. I don't feel like it soaks up a lot of product or more than any other sponge. If you think so, maybe you should wet the sponge more or use a sponge that has a velvet-like surface because those don't soak up anything.
