Almost lives up to the hype
I received a luxurious package to test in February from Lyko as part of their test pilot, so crazy exciting to get to try this talked-about product. The first impression was that the bottle was sleek, the formula a bit oily but not overly greasy, faint scent of something I can't put my finger on but an acceptable scent. I've tested this product for about a month and still think I see a difference in my skin even though at 24 years old I might not be the right age group to test, as I've perceived this as a product for slightly more mature skin. I feel that this product slightly stings/burns weakly (a bit like plumping lip gloss), which I'm not so fond of, then I tried to figure out how much should be used, which I had no clue about. So I don't know if it should be more economical than how I used it, for me it went a long way! To dampen the stinging, I used the accompanying face cream, helped a lot to get rid of the feeling. The price is totally okay I guess, but if you should use much less than I did, then it's probably quite worth the price. Winter's savior for chapped lips
I received this fantastic product from Lyko as part of their test pilot, it was sooooo exciting to see how this product would work. I have tested this product for about a month and I am so pleasantly surprised! I thought this was just another product that is marketed to get you to buy yet another thing without it actually doing anything, but oh how wrong I was. The price is so ridiculously cheap when you consider how long-lasting the product is, you can barely tell I've used it since it only takes a tiny drop on the back of my hand and then dabbing with a finger over my lips. Plus, it's a little cute that it's pink! Usage: I have tried to use it every day but haven't really been that good at sticking with it, but it made me realize the difference on the days I didn't use the product. I find the product to be very watery/serum-like, it didn't sting and I don't think it smelled super strong, which I appreciate. I used this before I went to bed and slept, every night I had it on, I woke up to hydrated lips, which I rarely wake up to in the winter. Okay
Received this from Lyko as part of their test pilot program. Tested this for just over 1 month and think the product does its job. Felt no scent at all which is totally okay for me, but a bit boring. The product is long-lasting and quite waxy, but I really feel that there is a layer on the lips. Unlike another stick I tested, this one tingles much less on the lips and doesn't sting. The product has worked wonders on the slopes, so great with high SPF! I would recommend having some serum or something moisturizing under a layer of lip balm, then you get the best results! Like setting fire to your lips
No no no😭😭😭 oh my god I wanted to like this because it smells so good! And I was so happy with the Carmex minis that were more liquid. But like, this was like setting fire to my lips, it hurt and burned so much. I tried it several times but it felt the same every time I used it. I even let someone else in the family try it and she experienced the same thing. The lip balm is thick and feels quite waxy on the lips, which I also didn't think felt great. I can strongly recommend Carmex in a tube instead of this. Affordable and good
I received these cute little lip balms as part of Lyko's test pilot. Oh my God, they exceeded my expectations. I was initially quite negative due to previous use of Carmex as I experienced that they stung, burned, and dried out my lips. But these 3 made previous experiences feel like a distant memory. First and foremost, they look super cute, but they also smell incredibly good, a nice strong scent that you can smell but not be overwhelmed by. They all feel the same on the lips, and you only need a little product to cover the entire lips. You get soft lips without it stinging or causing discomfort (like some Carmex tends to do). The product is incredibly affordable and also works exceptionally well to use before going to bed, patting in a toner or moisturizing serum on the lips and then applying a layer of Carmex, then you'll wake up with soft and nice lips. I have only had normal-dry lips that you can get in winter, so I don't know how it works if you have dry and chapped lips or if you're so dry that your lips bleed. Better than expected
Received this wonderful product from #mamonde that #lykoinflutester sent to me🥹 Can we just start with HOW CUTE the packaging is of these products????🤩🥹 I have combination skin that now going into fall sometimes goes from overly oily to dry and flaky with washing. I also had a lot of acne in my teens up to 20. Nowadays, I mostly get little breakouts when my skin is unhappy with products. However, I’m not a girl with makeup on, but I do use glow id glow and plump, which sometimes settles quite heavily on the skin. This product doesn’t smell much, so don’t be put off by the name "mint" being included. The consistency is thick but soft, though it doesn’t show well on camera, so I took a picture of the contents before I smeared it all over😂🙈 It’s a small test jar, but I still feel like it did its job and seemed to work without causing breakouts. The cleansing balm quickly and easily removed the residue from my daily products and left my skin clean and nice after the usual cleansing following the use of the cleansing balm. Since the product is supposed to contain AHA, BHA, and PHA, I think you need to test this product over a longer period. However, I don’t have a solid grasp on cleansing balms, so I probably can’t stretch to a full 5 with the price since the product definitely cleans but not much more, so the price brings the rating down a bit. I also had a lot of acne in my teenage years up to 20. Nowadays, I mostly get breakouts when my skin is unhappy with products. I didn’t perceive the product to have any special scent, so it’s good for sensitive skin, I can imagine. The consistency is like satin and gives an incredibly nice finish. I tested this in combination with flora glow but stopped using flora glow due to suspicion that it caused breakouts for me. Continued with just this and my other usual skincare products, and the breakouts calmed down and my skin became nice again@ At first, when I tested the product, I was a bit confused about how to apply it since it said it was a liquid mask, so I thought it might at least be a bit more solid in consistency. Now it mostly felt like it was running everywhere, but that probably has more to do with my clumsiness than the product. I followed the instructions and used it in the morning and evening, and unfortunately, it quickly made my skin go haywire, so I had to stop using it. The tricky part about this test is that it’s hard to know which of the 3 products caused the breakout. HOWEVER, I still want to add an important thing, if you have small bumps on e.g. your back, this AMAZING worked. It only took a few days for the bumps to lessen. This gets 4/5 as it’s great, but I don’t notice that it makes more of a difference than any other face cream I have. Bubblegum Scented Exfoliation
I received this wonderful product sent to me by #lykoinflutester🥹 Can we just start with HOW CUTE the packaging is for these products????🤩🥹 The scent of the contents really matches the packaging, a sweet bubblegum scent that is faint but still smells just right and disappears immediately upon application. I have combination skin that now in the fall goes from sometimes overly oily to dry and flaky when washed. I also had a lot of acne in my teenage years up to 20. Nowadays, I mostly get breakouts when my skin is unhappy with products. In the beginning when I tested the product, I was a bit confused about how to apply it since it said it was a liquid mask, so I thought it might at least be a bit more solid in consistency. Now it mostly felt like it was running everywhere, but that probably has more to do with my clumsiness than the product. High hopes
So incredibly sad to have to leave a review when you had such high expectations. All the other products I've tried from this brand have been fantastic! But this one didn't meet the mark, the guide for choosing the right color is always hard when you're dark, it often pulls towards the light side or in this case, towards the dark side. I also tried wearing it on my face at home for a few hours but also realized that it caused small pimples, not great. I would say my skin has been pretty calm without acne breakouts for the past year so I was surprised to get pimples from this so easily. I also discovered that it wasn't particularly transferproof which resulted in my partner's clothes getting a dark stain that was hard to wash out. Giving this a 2/5 with a guess that it might suit other skin types better! Clean without drying out
📌Skin type - combination skin + acne-prone I got this gem from Lyko and have now tested it for a while. But since I was in the hospital for about 3 weeks, the review may not be entirely fair. That said, you still get my opinions! The packaging is sleek and easy to use, nice to have a sturdy lid so it doesn't risk leaking! It withstood some bumps and held up nicely! Mousse is an incredibly pleasant consistency to use on the skin, feels smooth and also lasts a long time. Being in a hospital environment means, whether as a patient or a worker, that you get ridiculously dry skin, so an important part of the routine is to use something that doesn't dry out. This mousse works fantastically, I never felt that tightness you can get after certain washes and I also thought my skin got a nice glow without leaving any greasy film. If you're sensitive to perfume, you might want to be a bit cautious, as this has perfume, but it smells very subtle. Results: I didn't use this every day as I had some days where I could barely open my eyes. Normally, I can tolerate almost all cleansers, but this time I broke out after maybe 4 weeks of use, whether it was due to the product or because I was in the hospital is a bit unclear. I have continued to use this product now that I am home and I still think the breakouts are starting to calm down, so hopefully it was the hospital stay that caused it. It's affordable, smells good, skin gets glowy, and the product is long-lasting🤩 I don't think you can ask for more from a cleanser!
