An overdose of vanilla
As a #lykoinflutester, I have had the opportunity to be a test pilot for #burberry Goddess EdP. I usually have a hard time with vanilla-scented perfumes and always avoid them when buying perfume. They don’t smell good on my skin, but rather clumsy and cheap. To some extent, I have changed my attitude because this scent feels like an exception. It kind of plays in its own league among vanilla scents. The bottle is completely to my taste. Classic, heavy, solid, minimalistic, and elegant. The cap is easy to handle, just pull it off and press it back on. I have severe hand osteoarthritis, so it’s a relief not to fumble with a hard-to-open bottle cap. The spray is light and precise, the perfume lands exactly where you want it. The first scent impression is positive. Lavender together with vanilla makes the scent feel fresh and crisp. Unfortunately, the lavender scent disappears quickly, and then it’s just vanilla that matters. Admittedly, luxurious quality vanilla with many nuances, but for me, the scent feels too sweet and heavy. However, it is absolutely the best vanilla perfume I have tested. The longevity is really good. It lasts at least a day.1 product in post An overdose of vanilla65 views - The post was made 2 weeksRating: 5 out of 5
Toppenbra!
Nice wine-red tube, simple but elegant. The brush is perfect for my lashes and easily catches them all the way from the root. Small lashes are also easy to reach. The eyelashes become nicely separated, completely without clumps. The mascara lasts all day and doesn’t flake at all. The weather has been quite varied lately, heat mixed with downpours, and despite this - not a trace of mascara under or over the eyes. The formula is ridiculously easy to remove. A pad with warm water and voilà, the color is gone. The black color suited me well. Just the right amount of blackness to give a discreet impression. This is simply a new favorite that I probably wouldn’t have found if I hadn’t received the product for free to test.1 product in post Toppenbra!66 views - The post was made 2 weeksRating: 3 out of 5
A little itch
I received Dashl's eyebrow gel for free to test. The product is easy to use, and the brush is good with one side to tame the brows and one side to comb and define. Unfortunately, I have thin, sparse brows with soft hairs. I don't feel this product is something I need. The brows look the same before and after applying the gel. I have very sensitive skin around the eyes and experienced slight itching when the gel dried. A good friend with much bushier brows than mine got the product. She was overjoyed with it!1 product in post A little itch39 views - The post was made 2 weeksRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Fresh and long-lasting
I have never bought or received a #versace fragrance, so it was extra exciting as a #lykoinflutester to give my opinion on Crystal Emerald EDP. Previously, I thought Versace’s fragrances were heavy, intrusive, and hard to wear. How wrong I was! The bottle is beautiful and unique. It looks luxurious and elegant with its shining emerald green color. The cap is easy to grip and handle despite my hand arthritis, and the spray is finely distributed and light. The first impression of the scent is a strong floral fragrance that quickly tones down to a softer jasmine. I don’t notice the heart note on my skin, but the base note comes quite directly. It is warm, soft, and sensual. The scent is hard to describe. The floral notes quickly transition to the scent of really fresh and expensive soap. The longevity is good. The perfume lasts surely a day and doesn’t change for the worse. It’s not impossible that I’ll buy it again when the bottle runs out. That will probably take a while since it’s so economical. A small dose lasts a long time!1 product in post Fresh and long-lasting77 views - The post was made 2 monthsRating: 5 out of 5Verifierad testare
New Favorite
I have tried an eye cream from a relatively new Swedish brand #coolderma The plastic tube with screw cap contains a full 30 ml, which justifies the somewhat high price. The cream is easy to dose, has a faint cucumber (?) scent but unfortunately perfume is listed in the ingredients. The skin around my eyes has plenty of lines and crow’s feet. It is also dry, even between the eyebrow and the eye. I have only used the cream a little over a week, due to a picking error at Lyko’s warehouse. Still, I declare it the best eye cream I have ever tested. I dab a small amount around the eyes, both morning and evening. The formula is immediately absorbed and the eye areas feel moisturized and smooth. The dryness under the brows disappeared in 2 days and has not returned. For me, this is a superb eye cream that I truly recommend! #lykoinflutester1 product in post New Favorite23 views - The post was made 2 monthsRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Lovely night mask!
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try a new and exciting Swedish brand,#coolderma The mask can be used either as a "regular" face mask or as an overnight mask. I've tried both options and prefer to use it as a night mask. The plastic tube with a flip-top lid is practical but not exactly a decoration for the bathroom shelf. Doesn't really matter. It's the contents that count. The mask is white and runny, a bit liquid and not very economical. The formula doesn't smell very appealing, a somewhat bland scent, probably from the avocado oil. Perfume is listed as the last ingredient. My skin is aged, tired, and a bit wrinkled. 😔 Therefore, it needs all the care available to look a bit younger. Despite the runniness, perfume content, and the rather high price (almost 500 SEK), I will buy the mask again when my tube runs out. It really delivers on its promises! The skin truly smooths out and becomes maximally hydrated and supple. When I wake up in the morning and have rinsed off the mask, I see a whole new glow. The reason the face mask only gets 4 stars is because it is so expensive and not very economical. Otherwise, I love it!1 product in post Lovely night mask!13 views - The post was made 2 monthsRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Does its job
So fun as a #lykoinflutester to try a completely new brand for me! Although I have read about #coolderma that it is a fairly new Swedish brand, I knew that but tried it - no, not until now. The cleanser is packaged in a plastic tube (no paper packaging - good). The luxury factor is zero but the tube is bathroom-friendly and equipped with a flip cap. The content is a gel that should be lathered into a foam between damp palms, then massaged onto face and neck. Unfortunately, the gel contains perfume. It does smell wonderfully fresh but I prefer perfume-free facial products. My skin is dry and aged, and I use makeup sparingly. The cleanser provides a perfect cleansing and seems economical. A little gel is enough to remove all traces of makeup. I have tested with micellar water and confirmed that the skin is completely clean. Negative is that I feel the skin feels tight and a bit dry. Also, I think the price is steep. I am not prepared to pay almost 400 kronor for facial cleansing!1 product in post Does its job15 views - The post was made 5 monthsRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Mask!
As #lykoinflutester I got to test the Pure Cure Scalp Conditioner from #bylyko The first thing that strikes me is that it’s hard to test just one conditioner. The result depends just as much on the shampoo, and I see both products as a unit. The plastic bottle is delightfully spring green. The negative is that I can’t possibly squeeze product out of the bottle. The plastic is rock hard, and it ends up with me having to unscrew the cap and pour conditioner into my palm. For me, this is a mask, and as such, it works really well. The scent is a subtle floral-citrus and feels very fresh. The mask is easy to distribute and feels pleasantly cool on the scalp. Easy to rinse out and leaves the hair soft and full. My hair is thin, fine, and short. I have long struggled with itching on my scalp and sometimes dry patches. Thankfully, I have neither oily hair nor dandruff. The itching disappeared practically immediately!!! I assume that the shampoo combined with the conditioner worked together to solve the problem. This is a good product at a good price. The only negative is the packaging, which I really have to abuse to get product out. Highly recommend if you have itching on your scalp!1 product in post Mask!116 views - The post was made 5 monthsRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Lovely shampoo!
As #lykoinflutester I have tried Pure Cure Scalp Shampoo #bylyko and I am really satisfied! The shampoo comes in a lovely lime green plastic bottle. It is quite thin and runny, so you have to be a bit careful so that too much product doesn't spill out. The scent is lightly floral-citrus with an undertone of bubble-gum. I like the scent because it is so light, it doesn't overpower at all. The shampoo lathers well with thick white foam. Feels economical, a little dollop is enough. My hair is dry, short-cut with thin, fine strands. The scalp is sensitive and easily irritated, and I easily get dry patches with itching. However, I have neither oily hair nor dandruff. I notice right away, after the first use, that the scalp feels good. The usual itchiness after washing is not there, and the hair feels healthy and smooth. Unfortunately, the volume might be "so-so", but this is not a volumizing shampoo. I will use the shampoo now and then, as a treatment. I notice that if I use it several times a week, my hair becomes drier than usual. In summary: a really good shampoo that cures itching in the scalp but dries out a bit if used often. A cost-effective product that I recommend!1 product in post Lovely shampoo! - The post was made 6 monthsRating: 2 out of 5
Dry mascara
I was happy when I got to test this luxury mascara! I was less happy when I discovered that the tube was unsealed and not really closed. Unfortunately, the review is based on the fact that the mascara seemed dry and old, but I have to go by the product I received. My eyelashes are long and sparse. They are hard to style, and the result easily becomes spider-leg-like. The brush was big, clunky, and unnecessarily tricky. It is twisted at 40 degrees and easily picks up too much product. However, it is sturdy, and you get a good grip. The result was unfortunately clumped lashes with lumps at the ends, i.e., the result I usually get with an old mascara. The color is nice, and the mascara holds up in wet and dry conditions all day without flaking and smudging. In the evening, I do my usual cleansing routine for the lashes, water, remover, and micellar water, and all mascara traces disappear. It's sad to only give two stars, but that’s due to dried product, a difficult brush, and a horrendous price. I am participating in a test panel and received a free test product.1 product in post Dry mascara661 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 6 monthsHow sad! I bought the new Idole when it came out, fluttered something but I don't think it was on par with the other previously released mascaras. This is the one that came out after it.2 likes
