Moisture and Stickiness
As #influtester, I have tested the Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream from #cosrx The product consists of 92% snail mucin and a little bit of other goodies like hyaluronate and allantoin. After the summer's snail hunt and subsequent slaughter, it felt a bit tricky to use snail mucin as a moisturizer. The cream came in a plastic jar with a screw lid. Another lid, an inner lid, was opened with a tab, causing quite a bit of mucin to spill out. I saw that the cream is available in a tube. That would probably work significantly better. The contents of the jar are whitish and odorless but very sticky and runny. Strangely enough, the cream is incredibly economical. Despite 4 weeks of use and a lot of spillage, the jar is still almost full 🤣 I have patted in a generous dose of cream every morning and evening after cleansing. Unfortunately, the cream does not provide my dry skin with enough moisture. Already after an hour, it starts to feel tight on my face. It gets a little better if I "capsule" the cream with a few drops of facial oil. I would think that the cream works better in the summer than in the winter when my skin is at its driest. It may also be that aging skin needs a bit more powerful creams. In summary: buy a tube instead of a jar and use it in the summer if you have dry skin. Lovely slime
As #lykoinflutester I have tested lovely Korean skincare with snail slime. #cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a product with many uses! My skin is dry and gets drier with the years. Additionally, I have some lines and pigmentation changes. The essence (I don't want to call it serum, even though it is used the same way) is completely fragrance-free and transparent, gooey and sticky. The packaging is superb, a plastic bottle with a pump that is easy to dose. The essence is patted into cleansed skin as a first step before any serum and day/night cream. I think it sinks in quite easily, and the skin feels rehydrated, cooled, and lovely. Sometimes I use it on the backs of my hands. Super lovely but not so long-lasting hydration. I have even used the essence successfully on a red and irritated baby bottom. When it comes to the rating, I am torn! If it were summer, the essence would probably work better as a moisturizer, but now it is winter, and it doesn't quite suffice, so I have to layer on other products as well to prevent my skin from cracking and stinging. I also don't see any difference in glow and pigmentation after a month of use. Great setting spray
Really great setting spray that works for my dry skin. I don't use much makeup, but sometimes I have primer and foundation, and over this, I spray a thin layer. Gets just the right amount of glow without being shiny 😊 Also, no scent on the product. Positive! I've used the spray at the gym and, yes, any makeup stays in place and doesn't run. Perfect for the kids
As #lykoinflutester I got to test the Pop Lip & Cheek Oil Black Honey Glow. Over the years, I have bought and used many products from #clinique, mainly skincare, and have always been satisfied and thought the brand holds high quality. However, I am a bit torn when it comes to the oil. The packaging is small and convenient. It is easy to carry in my handbag, and the screw cap closes tightly to avoid spills. Plus, it looks nice. It is important to shake the bottle well before use. Otherwise, the oil can look streaky. The applicator is good and dispenses the color nicely. The oil is completely odorless and tasteless. Wonderful to avoid a nasty taste on the lips! Unfortunately, the color is too strong for me when it comes to the lips. I am quite pale, and strong berry colors create too much contrast with my skin. I also find that the oil "slips here and there" and ends up in the lines (wrinkles 😀) around my mouth. Overall, I have difficulty with greasy and oily products on my lips. On the cheeks, the oil gives a completely different impression and provides a significantly better feel. It does feel a bit sticky, but it melts in easily and gives a sheer and natural look. Strangely enough, the color suits me really well on the cheeks. The oil also stays much better on the cheeks and doesn't need to be touched up throughout the day. For me, this is an oil for the cheeks but nothing for the lips, and therefore the rating will be three stars. Oh so good
The bronzer came with a box and I quickly sorted it out. I have tried bronzers from another brand and concluded that the product does not suit my pale, aging skin. Additionally, the bronzers have sparkled and shimmered in the sunlight, which looked strange. The other day, I decided to try Isadora's bronzer before giving it away. I immediately decided to keep it! The powder melts into the skin and gives a very natural color. No glitter at all in the shade golden tan. The result is really nice, completely without cakiness. Not my scent
I also received a fragrance sample of Ella Ella, thanks for that! Always fun to try something new, especially scents since wrong purchases can get expensive. A sweet little mini bottle, round and chubby, arrived in the mail. The contents are a lovely pink and the bottle opens when the cap is pulled upwards. No spray function at all! One problem though! I wasn't at all fond of the scent. It's too "flat" and vanilla-scented for my taste. I love scents that have clear differences between top, heart, and base notes. I think the vanilla scent in Ella Ella is way too strong and kills all the other nuances. If you love vanilla scent, this should be a clear favorite, but, sigh, this is not for me. It might partly be because I'm a bit older and I feel this scent might suit a younger age group better. Thanks to Cacharel for letting me try!❤️ You have several scents that I really like. Take up quickly!
My skin is dry and itchy, especially in winter. I've tried most of the moisturizers but feel the problem persists more or less. I was recommended Aveeno body oil spray by a friend. ➕ Transparent plastic bottle, easy to see how much is left, bathroom-friendly Easy to spray on, just the right amount comes out Absorbs quickly into the skin, doesn't feel sticky Affordable ➖ Smells too strong for my taste, not fond of the scent but it fades pretty quickly Doesn't help with itching even though it moisturizes fairly well The rating will be a four despite the downsides. This is because I'm always in a hurry from the gym and the product is quick to use. Oh, what a wonderful cream for my dry, dull skin! Besides being dry, it is also plagued by all kinds of signs of aging like sagging, pigment changes, and various wrinkles. M. A.'s cream smells good from natural ingredients. Absolutely no disturbing scent, just discreet and "clean". It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly. It moisturizes and gives a tightening feeling. The makeup sits nicely on top, absolutely no rolling. I have used the cream both as a day and night cream. At night, I have used a powerful serum underneath, as my skin requires stronger treatments at night. I think the cream is optimal as a day cream for me! I love the tightening effect/feeling!
