      Hi Jeanette, This product can be combined with retinol, but since retinol can be irritating to the skin, it's good to be cautious at the beginning. To reduce the risk of redness or discomfort, it might be a good idea to either use retinol and this at different times of the day or to start with every other evening until the skin gets used to it.     Soothes redness very well

    Soothes redness significantly overnight and very well on dry skin. I find that it needs to be massaged very well into the skin for it to settle best.

    Cream separates

    Cream separates when you apply it creating a watery layer on top of a greasy layer. Making the cream ‘slide’ over your skin and difficult to apply evenly.

    So good for dry skin

    This was really good, but you have to put your hair up or keep it from getting in your face while you sleep because (at least my hair) it can kind of soak up the product or whatever you want to say, in which case the hair that has been against your face with this cream can get greasy. But you wake up with a hydrated face the next day, which I think makes it worth it if you still put your hair up!
