    Have used this for years since hairdressing school when I discovered it. Honestly very versatile, you can do loose curls and kinky curls. Heats up fast and you don’t need protection under if you lay it down since it has small “tags” to keep the warm part from touching the surface

    Alternative to flat irons

    Hi, I have a GHD flat iron that I sometimes use to straighten and curl my hair, but I feel like the curls don’t turn out as nice (big) glamorous as I see on others. I suspect that others use wands and I’m considering getting one, but I wonder if there’s a noticeable difference or if I’m just doing it wrong when I curl my hair with the flat iron. I have medium-length hair (a bit below my shoulders) and unfortunately not very thick. I don’t want to feel afterward that it was an unnecessary purchase. Does it take longer to curl hair with a wand compared to my flat iron?

      Hey there Louise! 👋🏼 It can be tricky to get perfect curls with a flat iron, my best tip is to take small sections of hair at a time, pull slowly, and let them cool down properly before brushing the hair 🤗 When curling hair with a conical curling iron like this, I think you get more volume at the roots and a "tighter" curl. I think it takes about the same amount of time with both, but of course it depends on what you are used to working with 😅🙈 So if you are ready to learn to curl with this tool, it will be well worth it 👌🏼 Take care 🤍
