    Zalna gel and clay mask

    Hi! I use Zalna 10mg/0.25mg gel for acne on a limited area of my face. I wonder if it’s okay to use this face mask the same evening, as long as I avoid applying it on the area where I used Zalna? Or should I avoid using this mask altogether when I’m using Zalna?

      Hi Anna! 🤗 Be careful when combining a clay mask on the same evening as Zalna – the mask is cleansing and contains exfoliating ingredients that can cause extra dryness and irritation together with tretinoin. Best practice is to alternate evenings (one "mask evening" and one "Zalna evening"), but if you want to use the mask the same evening: keep it away from the area where you have Zalna, limit the duration (for example 5–10 minutes), and apply a mild moisturizer afterwards. Take a break or use less often if you notice stinging, flaking, or redness, and remember daily sun protection (SPF 30 - 50) when using tretinoin or exfoliating products. Take care! 💛
