Lighten hair without bleaching
Hi! I want to dye my dark blonde hair to light blonde without bleaching. I've tried the Vanilla Sky toner before, but there was almost no difference. I bleached my hair for about two and a half years but stopped about a year and a half ago, so it became very damaged, thin, and with split ends. Now I have a lot of regrowth that I want to lighten. But I don't want to damage my hair more. What can you recommend? Toners like Ice Ice Blondy can only lighten untreated hair by one level, and since your natural hair color is darker, underlying pigments come through, which can give orange-golden tones 🤗 If you want a lighter result, you need to start with bleaching and then you can use a toner to get the exact shade you want on your hair.
