    Unmet Expectations

I have tested this night serum both in combination with steps 1-3 of Wella's Ultimate Repair, as a standalone product, and on both towel-dried and dry hair. Unfortunately, I have not seen any direct expected effect that the product promises. The hair feels dirty in the morning regardless of the combination of products, and you can really feel how the product just lays on the hair like a film. The product is, however, very economical. I with short hair need one pump to apply it to the whole hair. Also, the packaging is cleverly darker than their other bottle, which makes it clear that it should be applied at night. If you are sensitive to scents, you should look further, as this one probably smells the strongest of all Wella's products. This gave me a headache and some asthmatic issues. My personal opinion is that the product is not worth the money, if you don't want to get a headache, I would say. The review was conducted on behalf of Smartson - the test pilot was allowed to try the product for free.

Not worth the money for short hair

I tested this along with steps 1-3 in Wella's Ultimate Repair series. Unfortunately, this product was nothing for me as I have short and fine/thin hair. Right after application, a slight itch occurred. My hair felt dirty and stringy the morning after, and suddenly I had large flakes in my hair. Trying to style it was impossible as it seemed to have a mind of its own and clumped together. An attempt to rinse it out helped little, and it felt like gel in my hair. A proper wash was needed for my hair to feel good again. The packaging feels OK, a bit like any spray bottle. Is very economical in the long run as I with short hair only need half of the recommended minimum dose. Smells very strong, and the scent does not disappear like with the products in steps 1-3. WOW

This hair mask was amazing together with steps 1 and 2. There was a huge difference right after washing, and the morning after, the hair was still soft and smooth. The hair was incredibly healthier than before and very easy to manage. It’s rare for a product to really do what it says, but this one truly gets a full score. The packaging is sturdy and doesn’t feel as slippery as some jars can when they’re wet. The red color and the fact that all the parts you have in the shower are in different shapes makes it easy to grab the right product. If you have bleached, colored fine and damaged hair, this together with steps 1 and 2 can be the salvation to avoid drastic haircuts. Result is totally okay

For a period, I have tested the Wella Professionals Ultimate Repair series. The conditioner together with the shampoo gives a clear result on dry and damaged hair. The hair became softer and noticeably easier to work with. I like that the bottles are different so that it’s impossible to mistake which is which since I have difficulty reading without glasses. However, I’m not fond of snap lids as experience shows that they become hard to close in the end, or that the lid falls off. The consistency is smooth, the scent is slightly strong but totally OK when the hair is dry. Together with the shampoo, the cost can be worth the price, depending on how long your hair is. Doubtful

For a period, I have tested the Wella Professionals Ultimate Repair series. The shampoo gives a rich, lovely lather and the hair doesn't feel as straw-like during shampooing. However, I notice that it pulls the color out of the hair as I already have to dye it again. I find that the bottle is a bit hard in material, which means it takes a bit more force to get something out. On the other hand, I like the strong color that makes it visible for someone with blurry vision. As a standalone product, I don't feel it's worth the cost, especially not when I need to dye more often. It smells quite a bit during shampooing, but that fades pretty quickly.
