    M1 or M3
Hi! I have previously done blonde highlights and am very light in the lengths now but have a brown root, kind of medium brown. Which of M1 or M3 is best to choose? I want to fix the roots mostly but also pull out highlights in the lengths.☺️ And I wonder if you also need to have a toner?

Hi! 👋 How great that you want to refresh your highlights! Based on your description, I would recommend M1 since you have a medium brown root that you want to lighten. It’s a good option for creating light highlights on a darker base. You can also pull out some highlights in the lengths, but keep in mind that they are already light and therefore can be more sensitive. Be careful not to overlap the bleaching on already lightened hair. I would also recommend complementing with a toner/shade afterwards. The bleaching lightens the hair but doesn’t always remove the warm, yellow pigments that can appear. With a toner, you can get a nicer and more cool or neutral blonde tone depending on the result you want 💛 Also keep in mind that the result can vary depending on the hair’s starting condition and previous treatments.
