Wallet-friendly glow
I like the serum! It gives a bit of glow, even though it doesn't last that long, the skin still looks a little more refreshed temporarily. It absorbs easily and quickly and has no strong scent, but smells pleasant. Overall, I think it works well and is very affordable. However, my favorite became SkinActive, which I have used as a day cream. So here in the winter, I need a little extra hydration, so I have alternated it with another cream. But I think it has been great. It has given a nice radiance, improved my skin tone, and a huge plus for SPF 50! Also, the packaging is fantastic. Easy tube that you can have in your toiletry bag in the gym bag. It doesn't get exposed to oxygen every time you open it - awesome! I can absolutely see myself using it again! Okay product but no results on sun spots
I really liked it at first. Especially because it absorbs super easily into the skin and smells really good! I've been using it morning and night for a few weeks now. The consistency is light and runny but gets absorbed immediately when you dab it on your face. The product promises to reduce pigment/sun spots. Unfortunately, I see absolutely no difference. I don't know if it's because it's too mild, or if it simply doesn't work for me. All in all, it's nice to use, but it hasn't delivered any noticeable improvement at all, so it feels more like an unnecessary/redundant step right now. Good self-tanner but terrible scent
I like most things about this, except for the scent! Just like with the body spray, the scent is so intense and reminds me so much of bathroom cleaner/toilet spray that it becomes nearly unthinkable to use. Especially when you’re applying it to your face. It’s really a shame, because otherwise it delivers! The color turns out nice, it stays well, and above all - it dries record fast. Perfect to use when you want to look a little extra fresh. But the scent! I would have actually preferred a classic self-tanner scent over this. If it gets updated and has a different, more pleasant scent, I will buy it right away. If not, I’d rather be pale. Good BUS but terrible smell
For me, as someone who is used to using BUS in mousse/foam form, it took a couple of tries to get used to it. Since it has no guide color, I found it hard to get it even at first. But after a few tries, it worked really well anyway. The spray gives a good color if I apply it twice. One layer gives me hardly any color at all. Big plus for it staying well! I train several days a week and it held the color for a week. Big minus - and this is a direct deal breaker - is the smell. Or rather, the stench. It smells so strong and worst of all, it smells exactly like the sprays used to cover up odors in public restrooms. Not pleasant at all! This brings the rating down to a (weak) two, which is a shame because the color itself is still nice. Fragrant but nothing more than that
I have tried Biotherm Aquasource Hydra Barrier Cream. Since I have used several products from Biotherm before, I had quite high expectations. The cream is supposed to be moisturizing for dry skin, which I have. I often become dry and can sometimes get a bit flaky. The cream has a very pleasant scent and nice consistency. Unfortunately, it stopped there for me. After each application, it feels like it lays a thin layer over the skin only to almost "evaporate" after a little while. It feels great right upon application but unfortunately has not made any difference for my dry skin after about three weeks of use. What I also find negative is the packaging. I have such a hard time understanding why so many producers/brands choose a jar instead of a tube. The cream is constantly exposed to oxygen when you take off the lid, and it feels very unclean to dip fingers or a spatula in instead of squeezing out what you need to use. It also becomes heavy to carry in the gym bag or in luggage when traveling. My overall assessment is that it is a fragrant cream that unfortunately does nothing for my dry skin, no matter how much I wished it would. I am participating in a test panel and received a free test product.1 product in post Fragrant but nothing more than that416 views - The post was made 1 yearsRating: 2 out of 5
Difficult to Dose
I have tried the Supreme Vitamin C serum for free via Smartson. I thought the serum was pretty okay! I didn’t have any reactions, which I can otherwise get (bumps or redness). I feel like I got a bit more glow, even if it’s marginal. I’m used to serums that are a bit thicker in consistency, so for me it would have been good if it had stated directly on the packaging how much should be used. The fact that it’s like water made it, in my opinion, a bit difficult to dose. + glow-giving -difficult to dose1 product in post Difficult to Dose81 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. Nice day cream in less nice packaging
I got to try Liftactive for free through Smartson. I found it very pleasant in texture and had a nice scent. Works well on my sensitive and dry skin. Absorbs easily and doesn't feel sticky or oily. The only really negative thing I have to say about it is the packaging. It's a heavy glass jar. I also dislike the whole idea of cream in a jar. Partly because it gets exposed to oxygen every time the lid is removed, and partly because it feels quite unhygienic to dip fingers or a spatula into a jar. Otherwise, a good product. + texture + scent - packaging1 product in post Nice day cream in less nice packaging38 views - The post was made 1 yearsRating: 3 out of 5
Nice glow for those who have time
I got to try Capital Soleil Tan illuminating SPF 30 for free through Smartson. My first impression was that it feels very oily on the skin. It goes on easily, but it was hard to get the eyebrow pencil to stick properly. If you’re not in a rush in the morning and wait a few minutes before doing your makeup, it turns out well. It gives a nice glow without looking oily and smells really good! + good scent + easy to use - needs to dry a bit before makeup1 product in post Nice glow for those who have time65 views
