    Thicker cream, but overly sweet

I am a big fan of Body Shop's hand creams, but this one didn't become a favorite. It's more of a balm than a cream, which is good in winter, but it feels a bit sticky. I use it when I go to bed. Works in the evening, not during the day - don't use it if you're reading in the evening, as it will smudge/dirty the book pages! Unfortunately, I don't think the effect lasts in the same way as Body Shop's other hand creams. The spicy scent is nice, but it's extremely sweet and cloying, so the scent becomes too much for me. Also note that it's a metal tube, which isn't very clear in the picture! Personally, I have a hard time with this, as the tube quickly looks a bit shabby and doesn't give that luxurious feeling at all, but rather reminds me of a half-squeezed caviar tube…

Hey EmmaA 😊 Thank you for sharing your review! 🤍 How wonderful that you like the spicy scent and that it works well as a night cream – it’s always valuable for both us and other customers to know what works well with the product. Both scent and feel are so individual regarding skin type and preference. We also appreciate that you mention both positive and negative aspects, it gives a clear and honest picture of the product. Hope you’ve found another hand cream that feels better for you, here’s also a tip for a hand lotion that I hope will feel good for you: lyko.com/sv/estelle-thild/estelle-thild-vanilla-tangerine-hand-lotion-250ml Wishing you a super nice day🎀

    Lovely scent but insufficient hydration

I love Body Shop's hand creams, but this one didn't become a favorite. Smells lovely of forest and berries, but way too poor hydration to work in winter. Sad since it's just a fall-limited edition. Note also that it's a metal tube, which isn't very clear in the picture! Personally, I have a hard time with this, as the tube quickly looks shabby and doesn't give that luxurious feeling one wants, but rather reminds me of a half-squeezed caviar tube…

Hi Emma😊 Thank you for your question✨ By Lyko Micellar Water can also be used on dry skin, but keep in mind that it primarily cleanses and does not add much moisture. For really dry skin, it is recommended to follow up with a moisturizing cream or serum after cleansing to make the skin feel soft and comfortable. However, I can recommend this toner/essence that provides lots of moisture: lyko.com/sv/klairs/klairs-freshly-juiced-vitamin-essence-toner-30ml Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice Friday🖤

    Removal Tips

Hey, I think this mascara is really great, except when it comes to washing it off. How do I remove the mascara without my face and sink getting full of oily flakes? They really stick everywhere and it's so incredibly unpleasant and cumbersome. I use cleanser and micellar water to take off my makeup. But I'm not used to water mascara, so any tips for easy removal are greatly appreciated🌟

Hey Emma! 🌞👋 Of course, I can help you with that! This mascara is waterproof, so regular cleanser and micellar water often aren't enough – that's why you get those "oily flakes". Here are some tips to remove it easily without mess: Use a two-phase remover (oil + water). Shake the bottle first, saturate a cotton pad thoroughly, place it on your lashes for 10–15 seconds, and gently swipe down. Repeat as needed without rubbing. Good examples are NIVEA Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover or L’Oréal Paris Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover Waterproof. To avoid "oily flakes" in the sink, keep the pad slightly damp and work in small, controlled strokes. A soft microfiber cloth can also be good to have to catch everything afterward. Alternatively, you can remove eye makeup with a cleansing balm/oil first, gently massage over the lashes for 20–30 seconds, and wipe off with a warm, wrung-out washcloth. Remember to avoid mixing micellar water and oil at the same time – choose either a two-phase remover or oil cleansing. Hope this helps you get the mascara off without any problems!

    Best reusable pads!

I have tried several different washable pads and these are definitely my favorites. Soft, fluffy, and good quality that lasts. They are larger than cotton pads, which was unusual at first, but now just feels luxurious. One tip is to hold the pads firmly with both hands if you think they slide around too much. However, they are not used for waterproof makeup/remover, which probably won't come out in the wash. I rarely use waterproof products, but I have disposable/cotton pads for that. The pads stay soft wash after wash. I put them in a small laundry bag and wash with towels at 60 degrees, and use a vinegar mixture as fabric softener. I lay them flat to dry on a drying rack. Works perfectly, they have lasted for several years 💚

    Insufficient Hydration

I have the impractical combo of combination/dry skin that is sensitive to pretty much EVERYTHING that can clog pores. So hard to find a good moisturizer! I tried The Ordinary's HA moisturizer before, but it was too thick in consistency and not good in terms of hydration either. Unfortunately, this one wasn't pleasant either. It looks, smells, and feels like hand sanitizer… 🥴 and leaves a very sticky surface behind. It also doesn't feel particularly hydrating. The only plus was that I notice my skin feels more even after some time of use. But unfortunately, that's not enough, especially when I'm looking for something hydrating. I won't be buying it again. I'm now trying Inkey's Omega cream instead. Cautiously positive, it feels significantly more hydrating.

Hey EmmaA😊 Thank you for honestly sharing your experience – I understand how frustrating it can be to find a moisturizing cream that really works, especially when the skin is both sensitive and combination🤍 It's unfortunate that this one didn't live up to your expectations, although it's positive that you noticed some evenness in your skin. We're glad you're now trying the Inkey Omega Cream instead – many with a similar skin type find it more moisturizing and gentle, so we hope it works better for you! Don't hesitate to reach out if you want more tips or guidance – we're happy to help you further ✨ Wishing you a super nice day🌞

    Not good with powder

I have previously used Hickap, but it was unfortunately very drying, so I tried this instead. I like the spray, it becomes a lovely mist! (not at all like Hickap's garden hose🙄😅) I think it works ok over foundation, but not so well over powder, it gets too wet and uneven. Dries quite slowly. Overall, not a hit for me at all. I will not buy it again, but I am looking for a setting spray that better suits my needs.

    Application

Hi, I wonder how much product (ml) is needed for it to be effective? And how often should it be used. Should it only be applied to the lengths, or also to the scalp? My hair has become thinner and is starting to break off at the temples and in the nape, does this help with that?

Hey EmmaA! 👋🏼 Kerasilk Strengthening Bond Builder is applied to freshly washed, towel-dried hair. Use a pea-sized amount (about 1-2 ml) depending on the hair's length and thickness. The product should be distributed through the lengths and ends, but can also be applied lightly at the temples and nape if the hair is fragile there 🥰 For best results, it is recommended to use it 1-2 times a week. It strengthens the bonds inside the hair strand, which can reduce wear and broken hair strands over time. For thinner hair, it is also good to complement with a mild scalp routine and heat protection when styling 👌🏼 Have a nice day ☀️

    Cakey, flaky, and uneven

Bought this because of one of the extremely few powders that doesn't contain comedogenic talc. But this was one of the worst powders I've ever tried! And I've tried sooooo many. Hard to apply as the powder is very hard and doesn't stick to the powder puff/brush. It sits really poorly, I became completely shiny after barely an hour. The powder also clumps in pores and lines, and I've still used setting spray. The result is flaky and uneven and just completely worthless. Sooooo disappointed, what did I even pay for?! I feel cheated.
