My new favorite!
I’m participating in a test panel and received a free test product.
I got to test this product through Smartson and I’m impressed!
Previously, I mainly used argan oil and coconut oil as moisture for my bleached, frizzy, naturally curly, and damaged hair, but I’m positively surprised by this one that has avocado oil. I haven’t explored other oils for some reason and now feel that I’ve found a clear winner; when this bottle is empty, I will continue to buy it! This is the first time I’m testing something from the Matrix brand as well, and when I shop for hair care next time, I will also try their shampoo/conditioner.
The consistency of the serum is more like a gel rather than oil, and the bottle comes with a dropper, which I love! Similar to other serums/oils I’ve tested, they often only had a small opening that you had to pour from, which created spills, and you ended up with oil all over the bottle, wasting a lot of the product. But with this one, it’s easy to get a few drops to distribute in your freshly washed hair. I’ve distributed a few drops of the product after shampoo/conditioner, and after the hair has dried a bit so it’s not dripping wet.
The price is a bit high, but if you have dry/bleached and frizzy hair like I do, it feels like it’s still an okay price since you can really feel that the product makes a difference!
I find that my hair becomes softer, easier to brush/comb through, and shines a bit more after testing this product for a week. At first, I used a bit too much product, and if I had done that with argan oil for example, my hair would have become greasy, but this product doesn’t weigh the hair down and doesn’t make it greasy either.
The product also has a nice scent! The downside of the product, however, is that the scent might be an issue, as there are definitely those who do not appreciate perfume in hair serums at all, do not like the scent even though they like what the product does, are allergic, and/or work in healthcare where you cannot wear unnecessary scents because patients can be sensitive.
In summary: I’m really glad I got to try it, and I recommend others to try it - especially if you have dry and frizzy hair! :))
1 product in post Fantastic for dry/frizzy and bleached hair!
Wow!
I just got these two products and I already love the sunscreen! It’s super hard to find sunscreen that doesn’t flake, and this one doesn’t do that on me, yay! It makes my combination skin feel hydrated and not oily.
The eye cream also seems good, I have a bit of sensitive skin though and it stings a little but I haven’t swollen up. It’s probably because of the retinol - I’ve read that you should acclimate your skin to retinol as it can feel strong at first. :) I think it’s a great value duo, I’m new to K-beauty and I’m already digging it.
