This doesn't fit the 1500 ml bottles from L'Oréal Proff. I bought the silver shampoo at Normal and needed a pump, so I bought this one... but it's too long. Does this only fit an older version? Or am I doing something wrong?

The pump is made for L’Oréal Professionnel’s 1.5 L salon/backbar bottles and usually works when the suction tube is adjusted and the transport lock is removed. Cut the tube at an angle so it stops a few millimeters above the bottom, turn the head slightly counterclockwise and pump a few times to prime, then the length usually becomes correct. If it still doesn’t screw on properly, the bottle neck might have a different thread standard (some 1.5 L variants bought outside the salon channel have a different neck), and then this pump won’t fit ❤️
