Excellent summer scent perfect for those who don't want to smell like everyone else... 😘
The market is flooded with gourmand body mists that all compete in how close they can get to a pastry or a fruit salad. Oh, I'm not one to complain... But sometimes, I mean sometimes... the idea of smelling exactly like a cinnamon roll or a lifelike key lime pie can be better than how it actually plays out on the body when you're at the beach or in a sweaty bus or at work where the ventilation system has broken down or when someone is around you who can raise the temperature for all sorts of reasons... 😎 and we all get a little sweaty and... and... (those who want to hear, hear... as some wise person said in history...). That is to say, a sweaty cinnamon roll or a key lime pie that starts to get a little wilted is not always the coolest or sexiest thing out there...? But then there's Coco Breeze... that cools when we need it. That blends wonderfully with sun-warmed skin and that is absolutely a gourmand, but not like a syrup bottle that has fallen from the pantry into the bathtub, but a scent that hasn't forgotten that it was actually created to sit on our body and not melt down in our stomach... This is a coconut tropical fruity floral that is well-composed where each part melts together into a whole that doesn't feel like a grocery list for ICA MAXI where you can pull out every single ingredient. Instead, it feels mainly fresh and cooling like the feeling of a refreshing coconut mixed drink under a parasol. Where the floral feeling from frangipani, orchid, and neroli from a tropical garden blends with airy coconut (like a mix between coconut milk and coconut water) and gets help with just the right amount of acidity and sweetness from what I would guess is honeydew melon to not become coconut-heavy or overwhelming from the flowers. Beneath the surface, there's also a bit of balsam with a soft and smooth musk with vanilla and a little benzoin... In short, I really like this. And it actually sits really well, without projecting so that the whole environment feels that you're in the assumption. Without being detectable, especially for those who want to get a little closer and who surrounds a lovely feeling for oneself with small puffs along the way. What I really like is that it really shows what it can do when you get a little warm. The skin becomes completely irresistible. I have many perfumes... but when I wear this in the summer, my better half always comes a little closer even if I've mowed the grass beforehand... 😎😘Translated from swedish

What will happen to Niactil when the company re-brands?
To my great joy, Niactil has been allowed to come back, and I was so happy!! Thank you Elixir/Face formula for listening to your customers' pleas and instead allowing both the old and the new variant to be available. (I have written about this before, i.e. how Niactil is basically the only niacinamide product on the market that has also been created with people with dry, dry/mature, and dry/sensitive skin in mind and is therefore, besides being a niacinamide product, also a glycerin bomb. Which is absolutely fantastic. I have been using it since Elixir came to market. And I always have a stock of it at home and use it daily morning and night). MY QUESTION is about: What will happen now with Niactil when Elixir becomes Face formula? I note that among the new products, there is now a third Niacinamide product that seems to be a variant more targeted at oily/acne-prone skin with 6% niacinamide and succinic acid. Which is a combination that can certainly suit oilier and greasier skin types with acne issues. But which will be detrimental for dry, mature sensitive skin. Does this mean that the company will once again remove the old Niactil or remake it? Does the new version replace both Niactil and Face formula? Or will Niactil remain in its original and perfect form? (Please please, say that Niactil will be allowed to stay? It is the only truly well-functioning niacinamide product on the market for all of us who have dry skin). Grateful for feedback from the Elixir/Face formula team, so one knows if one needs to try to hoard Niactil while it is still available...Translated from swedish

Love this!!
Hooray that Danessa Myricks is now available at Lyko!! Blurring Balm Powder is such a fantastically innovative product. It can be such a help for so many. I especially want to sing a serenade for the colorless variant called universal (note not to be confused with universal radiant, which is a new shimmering variant that I have not yet tested). Universal (I see that it is not in stock now, but if Lyko sees this, please note that there are now two colorless in the lineup, one completely colorless and one colorless with shimmer, so you don’t miss buying the completely colorless one because it is heelt wonderful!! What is this then? Well, nothing less than a powder in balm form!. Completely brilliant for dry skin types, mature skin, sensitive skin that generally has trouble with powders because it mattifies too much or makes the skin drier throughout the day. Blurring balm powder is not built on talc or similar powders that absorb oil and moisture drawn from the skin. As long as there is absorption capacity in the product, it will continue its process all day. Which often leads to makeup breaking down during the day if you have dry skin. Blurring balm Powder, on the other hand, is built around the Swedish innovation Upsalite, created by a team in Uppsala that has put the panther on a tiny micro-sponge, (think sponge in powder form) that instead of powder can absorb moisture and oil. But without making them completely inaccessible to the skin. That is, it can also give back to the skin when it starts to thirst. Which means it keeps the skin from becoming super shiny. But it also prevents it from drying out. Totally magnificent!. All that is needed is to lightly dab/press (no hard pressing needed) a tiny amount where you want the makeup to hold its finish or become a little more matte, and voilà, you have a super nice finish with a little less visible pores and a makeup that stays all day and looks just as nice when you get home as when you applied your makeup. It has replaced all powders for me. And it is also very easy to carry with you if you unexpectedly want to touch UP during the day. Then you can advantageously use one of the colored variants. Which are perfect for touch-ups. But also super nice if you want a more satin-matte foundation. The colored variants are more of a foundation. But the universal variant - that is, the completely colorless one is a makeup product that is simply wonderful. And also fun that it contains a Swedish innovation. I actually use a sponge to apply the balm powder, mostly because that was what I happened to have on hand the first time. But it can also be used with fingers, a powder puff, (actually), brush, etc. I like the sponge because it can be used without sweeping motions. Which is good if you have, for example, a cream blush underneath that doesn’t have any set function so that you don’t move around what is underneath but just lightly press this on top. Also note that you can go a long way with very little. When you apply, you see no difference. The difference comes when the product sets and absorbs excess moisture and oil. And if you take too much, it can feel a bit thick on the skin.Translated from swedish

Does the Mauve Berry lipstick that came with the 2024 advent calendar apply?
I got this one in today's door and was a bit puzzled. The color is really nice. But the lipstick smells very strange. Sour, rotten like old expired lipsticks where the fat has gone rancid. But the formula is still soft. Is the product supposed to be like this? Or is there something wrong with this particular sample? I note that the color is currently a leftover. So could it have been pulled? But instead ended up in the calendars? 🤔 Considering how extremely perfumed all Makeup Store's other lip products usually are with candy scents and fruit basket fragrances, it surprises me that this formula would be completely fragrance-free as well. Which this is. Unless the fragrance ingredients have also completely gone rancid. The product smells so unpleasant and unhealthy that I absolutely cannot put it on my lips. Can you, who are experienced users of this lipstick, give a hint about whether this product is supposed to have a fragrance or if it should be fragrance-free? AND if yours also smells like rotten foot sweat and rancid fat?Translated from swedish
