    Alternative to prescription retinoids?

    Hi! I have a prescription for trifototen, but can only use it a couple of times a week since it's quite strong and dries out the skin. I'm wondering if this is a good alternative that I might be able to use a bit more often? I've struggled with acne, but my skin is relatively clear with some blackheads and pores, as well as red marks (PIE) from pimples.

      Hi Lene Marie! I wouldn't combine prescription products with this, but if you're looking for a milder product with retinal that's meant for everyday use instead, this could be a nice alternative. That said, I would primarily trust the treatment you've received from your doctor/dermatologist and complete the course with this, possibly consult before you finish the course and try something else.     Effective against PIE?

    Hi, I have a number of PIE marks from acne. I've heard that vitamin C is good. I don't want to use one that is too strong since I'm still using a strong cream for acne, and I'm struggling with dry skin from before. Is this a good alternative?☺️

    Hi! Based on the description, I assume this mousse protects against heat, but I wanted to ask to be sure! And if so, at what high heat :)

      Hey there✨ Schwarzkopf Taft Mousse Ultra Hold Level 4 does not contain heat-protective ingredients. It is made for hold and volume, not for heat protection. It contains moisture binders and softening agents like panthenol and cetrimonium chloride, but none of the classic heat protectants (like dimethicone, amodimethicone, polyquaternium-55, or similar). 👉 So if you are using heat tools (hair dryer, straightener, curling iron), it is recommended to apply a separate heat protection spray or cream as well.
