It says on the packaging that it can be used on dry, damp, or wet skin. This is the result after using it on damp skin with a bit of shaving cream. It also says "The hair removal crystal gently removes unwanted hair and makes the skin smooth". This is not what I would call gentle. I also tested it once on wet skin with shaving cream, and the skin wasn't as damaged, but it takes forever to remove the majority of the hair, so if you don't have proper patience, you can forget it.
