    Toning

If I have highlights, will it only tone the highlights and not the dark parts of my hair? And should the toner be applied on wet or dry hair for the best result without a purple or gray/white outcome?

Hejsan!🤍 If you use a toner/light color that is lighter than your natural color, it usually can’t do much without a base, only on the bleached highlights! However, if you apply it directly to the scalp, it can lift a bit, as the scalp emits heat that makes the toner stronger – so when toning/toning highlights, the toner should not be applied directly to the scalp, you can apply it to towel-dried hair💫 How the shade turns out depends on the starting point and chosen toner – if you want to cool down blonde hair, for example, you can sometimes rinse before the processing time is over when you are satisfied with the shade, before it turns too cool. Good luck 🤍
