    Retinol-retinal

I have been using retinol for a good while and have robust and normal skin that can tolerate a lot. I have some fine lines and volume loss which are my main challenges (I am 38 years old). I have been using Bioterm Blue retinol serum for a long time now, and I tolerate it well. I want to test something with a bit more kick. What could be a good next product?

Hi Marthe 👋 This product is actually a really good "next step" if you want more effect than regular retinol 🤩 Medik8 Crystal Retinal 10 Serum contains 0.1% retinaldehyde (retinal). It is a different type of vitamin A than retinol. Retinal is one step closer to the active form. This means that retinal can work significantly faster and more effectively than classic retinol, because it requires fewer conversions in the skin 🧬 Medik8 also states that retinal can deliver results up to 11× faster than standard retinol. That’s why many choose retinal when they want to upgrade their retinol routine 🙌 You mention fine lines + volume loss. Retinoids are one of the few ingredients that can actually affect this because they: -increase collagen production -improve skin texture -reduce fine lines -even out pigment and skin tone Tip 👇 Even if your skin is robust, do this for the first 2–3 weeks: -week 1–2: every other night -week 3: daily if the skin feels good -use good moisture + SPF This helps you almost always avoid retinoid irritation ❤️
