Gives a nice feeling but has a strong scent

I have been using this night cream for a few weeks now, together with the day cream from the same Golden Age series. I was looking for a rich, moisturizing night cream for mature skin that tends to get dry and therefore also easily looks dull and "thin." The cream initially has a lighter texture, but after application, you quickly notice that it doesn’t just absorb into the skin but gives a pleasant feeling of an almost slightly oily face mask. I like the feeling of giving my skin longer-lasting care overnight, and in the morning most of the cream has still disappeared. I have not noticed any irritation or impact on my skin barrier, something that unfortunately often happens to me if I don’t make sure to moisturize properly. Now, after a few weeks of use, I am still satisfied with the cream’s moisturizing ability. Regarding the other effects mentioned by the manufacturer (more texture and more defined facial contours), I am skeptical; as I said, I have only observed good hydration. The only thing I am not so happy with is the cream’s scent, like the day cream, maybe not overwhelming but still quite noticeable, definitely stronger than the day version. For me, it is unnecessary and disturbing. The review was conducted on behalf of Smartson – the test pilot got to try the product for free.

    Rich and moisturizing

I have been using this day cream for a few weeks now, and my expectation was that it would primarily be a good moisturizing day cream for my skin, which tends to get dry and thus also easily looks dull and "thin." The cream has a fairly rich texture; in the jar, it feels almost solid, but when applied, it melts nicely into the skin. It is not oily, and I don't feel it leaves any film on the skin, maybe a slight glow but without feeling heavy or glittery. Already after a few days, I noticed that my skin feels much better; I didn't feel the dry sensation on the surface during the day or a few hours after applying it in the morning. I haven't noticed any irritation or impact on my skin barrier, something that unfortunately often happens to me if I don't moisturize properly. A big advantage of this day cream is that it works excellently in combination with other products, not just L'Oréal's but other brands as well. I have been able to combine it well with sunscreen, primer, and foundation and haven't looked cakey even late in the day. Now, after a few weeks of use, I am still satisfied with the cream's moisturizing ability. Regarding the other effects mentioned by the manufacturer (that the skin would become firmer and plumper with a rosy glow), I am skeptical; as I said, I have only observed good moisturizing. There are two aspects I want to mention that I personally consider drawbacks of this product: one is that it does not have sun protection. I usually prefer to use sun protection in my day cream; it both simplifies and reduces the number of products I need to use in the morning. I think that if you are a bit older, sun protection is extremely important, so I prefer not to skip this step. The second drawback of the cream is its scent; it is not overwhelming but still quite noticeable, and I can smell it well into the day. For me, it is unnecessary and a bit annoying. That is why I have deducted two stars in my review. The review was conducted on behalf of Smartson – the tester received the product for free.

    Lovely Feel

The kit consists of three products, shampoo, conditioner, and a leave-in treatment in mousse form. I like the shampoo the most, it cleans the hair very well and leaves it fresh but not frizzy. I have short hair and a pretty oily scalp, but the hair itself tends to get dry if I wash it every day. With this product, the hair feels shiny without being heavy. I also appreciate that the scent is mild and more natural than many other hair products, it smells like peppermint. You also feel a pleasantly cooling effect. So lovely! You really feel tempted to use it every day in the shower! The hair conditioner also feels fresh and light, the hair doesn’t get oily and isn’t heavy either. However, I don’t know if it adds much value, I have only used the shampoo several times and the hair felt the same. The product I like the least of these three is the leave-in treatment. Even though I used a very small amount each time, the hair didn’t feel soft but became coarse right next to the scalp. I can’t say if the treatment works or not, but generally, I think these products are of good quality, and especially for fine hair with an oily scalp, I would definitely recommend the shampoo and conditioner, but I’m skeptical about the mousse. I would need to see a more dramatic result to see the point of using this, otherwise, as mentioned, it gives a more coarse feeling, which I dislike. But I must also add that I never use any styling products, so someone who styles their hair regularly might find the mousse perfect! If you’re looking for a hair care routine that gives your fine hair some shine without feeling heavy and also doesn’t smell too strong, I recommend trying Nioxin! I have tested these on behalf of Smartson and have been able to try the products for free.

Feels so nice on the skin but smells very strong

I really like the feeling this serum gives upon application, the consistency is super smooth and leaves the skin soft and hydrated, at least for a while after applying it, however, the effect doesn't last as long as I expected, I've used other serums that provided more long-lasting moisture than this. That said, I still think it has clear moisturizing properties, the advantage is that the serum absorbs into the skin, doesn't feel sticky, and doesn't affect the use of other products or makeup afterwards. I haven't used it long enough to determine if it really delivers on its promise of a more even skin tone, but the skin definitely feels a bit tighter and smoother. The major downside of this product for me is its strong scent. If it had a milder scent or preferably was unscented, I would have recommended it, even though I think there are better and more affordable products on the market.
