Hi Monika✨
Thank you for your question!😊
This is a fantastic night cream that helps improve the skin's glow and provide moisture, but it also contains several acids. Since you mention that you use Paula's Choice Retinol 1% Serum, it's good to be aware that both retinol and AHA/BHA ingredients can be active and sometimes cause sensitivity if mixed.
I therefore recommend that you do not mix retinol with the night cream directly.
To be on the safe side, use retinol on other nights of the week, depending on how your skin reacts. It can be good to test and see how the skin responds to avoid over-exfoliation. One tip is to use this exfoliating night cream one to two days before your retinol so that the skin, after exfoliation, is more receptive to the effects of retinol.
It's good to keep in mind that retinol and acids can increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun. Don't forget sunscreen during the day🌞
I hope my answer can be helpful, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions!
Wishing you a lovely day🌸
I have combination skin type with enlarged pores. My skin therapist recommended Elixir Cosmeceuticals Balancing Hydration Cream, but it feels dry, mostly around the mouth. Can it be combined with this gel Elixir Cosmeceuticals Niactil 4%?
