I bought this hair dryer, but I think it makes a lot of noise and smells a bit like metal when it's on. I was wondering if it's normal for a new hair dryer to smell a bit like that at first? It also has a different type of plug that doesn't fit in a regular outlet here. Is it normal for it to smell and be so loud?

Hi Rella 😊
Thank you for reaching out ❤
This type of hair dryer can be experienced as a bit louder since it both dries and styles the hair at the same time. When the product is brand new, it may also have a slight smell of plastic or "new electronics" the first few times it is used, but it should not smell burnt. This smell usually disappears after a few uses.
As for the plug, it is a universal plug. You can easily unscrew the screw in the middle, so it fits into regular outlets here 🤗
A little tip is also to make sure that the air intake on the underside is kept clean of hair and dust, as this can affect both the noise level and how effectively it works.
However, if you experience that it smells strongly burnt or behaves differently, feel free to register a complaint, and we will take a closer look at it.
Have a nice day! 🌷
