Revox glycolic acid together with hyaluronic acid

Hi! In the description of Revox Glycolic Acid 20%, it states that this can be combined with Revox Hyaluronic Acid: Combine with JUST Argan Oil, JUST Oil Blend, or JUST Hyaluronic Acid as part of your daily beauty routine to enrich and protect the skin from dehydration. But on the side for Hyaluronic Acid, it states that they should not be combined: Warning: Do not combine with JUST Glycolic Acid, as the acid may reduce the product's effectiveness. What is correct, can these be used together? I currently use glycolic acid from The Ordinary (7%) daily in the evening, but I feel it has a bit too little effect now. Therefore, I am considering buying this one that is 20% and using it a couple of days a week. I generally have slightly dry skin and therefore need a bit of extra moisture, especially when I use glycolic acid. I was thinking of Revox's Hyaluronic Acid together with The Ordinary's Squalane oil. Is that a good combination? Or do you recommend any of Revox's oils?

Hi Stine 👋 Thank you for a good and important question – this is actually something many find confusing, especially when different product descriptions from the same brand seem contradictory. Yes, you can use glycolic acid and hyaluronic acid together – but with the right application order and in the right concentration 🥰 It seems like Revox has a bit of inconsistent communication: On the glycolic acid side (20%): They recommend combining with moisturizing products like hyaluronic acid or oils to counteract dryness. On the hyaluronic acid side: They warn against glycolic acid because it can affect the effect – this likely applies if they are mixed directly (e.g. in the same mixture or layered on top of each other without letting the acid work first). 🪔You don’t necessarily need to switch to Revox’s oil if you’re happy with The Ordinary’s Squalane – it’s a safe and good choice. But if you want to try something new from Revox, you might consider: -JUST Argan Oil – richer, good for dry skin. -JUST Blend Oil – light mix of oils, gives glow and nourishment. ‼️Important to remember: Do not use glycolic acid every day at 20% – 1-2 times a week is more than enough for most (especially with dry skin). Always use SPF the day after using glycolic acid – the skin is more sensitive. Here’s how you can safely use them together: 🌙Evening (max 2x/week with Revox Glycolic Acid 20%) Cleanse the skin Apply Revox Glycolic Acid 20% on dry skin. → Wait 5-10 minutes after application, so it can work and absorb. Then: apply Revox Hyaluronic Acid (on slightly damp skin if you want maximum effect). Finish with Squalane oil or a moisturizer Wishing you a nice day ahead 🥰
