The cover won't close when the batteries are inserted. So you have to hold the lid down to get it to work. Tested it on my leg and it didn't remove the hairs either. And the thread came loose.. Submitted a complaint. Very nice color! And holds up okay. The pink color stays very long in some parts of the hair. It gets more and more pink with each wash. And the shower is completely pink..
