    Tentative five for now

Tentative five for now. They do what I need them to, resist the hard water that breaks all other plastic clips I've had. So far it's lasted about two months I think. Doesn't react with any products I use, and so far I've noticed no weakening of the tension despite frequently forgetting them and leaving them clipped around something dense to store them. The grips are perfectly fine. If I remeber I'll update later, after more time.

    Experience using this

I thought to send an email but here others can take advantage of any answers I get so bear with me, I have a few questions. First off, I'd love to hear any hair stylist experience on using this on "shy" curls/waves. My hair takes a while to dry, which is incovenient, but previous hair dryers haven't been kind to my curls - My hair (fine, to mid back, undyed atm) goes between 2c and 3b depending on how it dries, and cannot take brushing at all without deflating horribly. And like, does it work without specialty products? Unperfumed curl products are extremely hard to find. Second: Sound. I really wish all electronics had a measure of how much noise it makes, though how it compares to other models might also help there if dB(A) isn't known or estimateable. (Especially if there's a significant difference between say, low heat and "specialty modes" or high etc.) Finally, weight? Not the whole package, (which is all I can seem to find) but like, the drier when held, so without the cord? If that's not known, then comparisons to other driers would help at least navigate what exists a bit better. Thanks!

    Measurements?

It'd be really useful if all the toiletry bags had measurements in their descriptions. It's kinda annoying that people need to ask for every single one.

Wish I could say it was good.

Legitimately I do. Because it's pleasant to use, have a good shape, the spring isn't too hard, but gods the quality is garbage. I've had three, and the first one lasted I'd say maybe half a year, and the following two lasted no more than a month each. The issue isn't even the teeth; it's the material holding the spring; it breaks every time.

Hi👋 Thank you so much for your honest feedback – and I’m really sorry to hear about your repeated experience with this hair claw. It’s great to know that you like the design and functionality, but clearly the durability isn't meeting expectations, and that’s not how it should be. Based on what you describe, it sounds like there’s a weakness in the material around the spring, and I completely understand your frustration – especially after multiple purchases. Thanks again for taking the time to write a feedback🌸

Love what it does, but that quality assurance...

This is great for polishing - it takes at most a few minutes before getting a lasting high shine- squeaky shine. So it does what it sets out to do, and does it pretty comfortably. The durability on the other hand is frankly terrible. I cannot imagine this could possibly stand up to a salon environment for more than like half a day. I bought mine a few weeks ago, and the layer on the shine side is already peeling away; and I was careful because it didn't feel all that sturdy. Dont think I've used it more than five or six times. If they improved that, I might be inclined to give it 4/5, because to me it's a weakness that the sides aren't covered and hence useful, but as it stands it barely deserves a 3.

Genuinely exactly what I was looking for.

My nail are, and have always been thin, at times this gets worse, and the only thing that's actually succeeded in improving that has been keratin products. I absolutely loved the skinfood nail vita essence when that existed, and this is the closest I've found to something like it. That said it needs to be noted that I don't agree with what the instructions claim; don't use this before using nail polish of any kind. It depends on the person but for some it simply will not absorb sufficiently and will create a non-stick layer. BUT it is perfect for what it does do; work like a strengthening mask for the nail. It has very little scent, the colour is genuinely irrelevant; as far as I can tell none of it stays really, and the applicator is comfortable to use and efficient.

    Equivalent / dupe?

Really love these, including that they’re perfume free and have plain packaging. Is there an alternative since they’re discontinued?

    "Perfume free"

It’s not as much a question as a request: This item has "parfum" in its ingredient list, and should not be listed as "perfume free."

Does what you expect it to

It does what one would think a keratin treatment does, and it isn't particularly drying, which is great. The texture is thick, but relatively easy to get in an even coat/layer. The biggest downside is how intensly it smells. It's "perfume free" but it's definitely not; there's a bunch of scent giving oils and essences and stuff in it. That said, I have been using it on and off for years because it's a good product, but between how many things can be put into hair whilst wet compared to how many can be layered whilst dry - I tend to opt for the keratin spray from the same brand, used before leave in conditioners and/or hairspray.

Good, even if not a perfect fit for me.

I've not used a lot of blonde specific hair products as they're hard to come by perfume free, which is the first big plus for this of course; a whole line of perfume free hair products? Yes please. I cannot understand why that is so rare, but at least DS exists. It doesn't stain my hands, my shower or anything else around, it does tint my hair making it nice and neutral, and it doesn't irritate at all. It's not really sufficient for me, considering my hair needs some extra care, but the lack of perfume or irritation means it'll probably remain in my line-up for as long as I wish to keep my hair my natural cooler colour. If they come out with a blonde hair masque, I'll definitely grab one of those. It's one of those "it TRULY won't hurt to try".
