    Awesome mascara at a budget price

    Totally crazy?! I've been using mascara from Lancôme (hypnôse waterproof 001 Black) for a long time. I've been satisfied with the results from it, but the price relative to how long it lasted bothered me a bit. I had heard that Essence was a good budget option, so I thought "why not give it a try?". What luck! I will be buying this from now on! For everyday use, one layer works fine, and it gives a careful application that results in a more natural look. For parties, I go for a bit more, and it delivers more dramatic lashes. I think it's uncomplicated; it has a smooth brush, and the lashes don't clump together. It stays like a rock and is hard to remove without any oil-based product.

    Okay mascara

    As the title says, this mascara is okay, but not my favorite. It takes a really long time to dry, and therefore it also leaves marks on the eyelids. I tried it once and I don't know if I will try it again. It did give good volume, which is a good thing.

    I’m really happy with this mascara! It gives length and holds the curl well on my straight lashes! Easy to remove with oil cleanser. Truly a great value!

    Very good, I was looking for the princess mascara. But it was sold out in the store, so I took this one instead. The mascara itself is really good for the price, and that it is waterproof is great. However, it is difficult to remove with makeup remover. I use micellar water as makeup remover and have to put in effort to get the mascara off. I have straight lashes, but the mascara still works well.

      I can recommend a bi-phase eye makeup remover for waterproof mascaras. Usually available at Ica/HM/normal, I know that Nivea has one, costs 30 bucks. Be careful with the skin around your eyes ;-)
