Finest budget mascara
Such a sick mascara! I'm slowly but surely working my way through all of essence's mascaras, and so far none have been directly bad. But this one is fantastically beautiful on my lashes 😍 I happen to like a little spider leg feel on my lashes, so much volume, I usually use YSL's false lashes mascara or Helena Rubinstein's femme fatale. But this one is a tad prettier. The downsides are that it still tends to leave marks on both lower and upper eyelids (though less than the other waterproof essence mascaras I've had time to test), but I have this problem with almost all mascaras in general. However, when it's time to wash it off, it's kind of cemented on my lashes 😅😂 no matter how much I rub and wash (with removal of course), there's always a little mascara left. The worst mascara I have ever used!
I genuinely do not understand HOW anyone can like this mascara? Absolutely not waterproof, it settles on the eyelid just from the lashes touching it during the day (or rather within 1-2 hours after application), clumpy as hell. It looks bad and doesn't hold. I can't see a single positive aspect of this mascara. Not even worth the cheap price. Absolutely do NOT recommend!18 views- The comment was made 4 daysYes, that's obviously a given? I liked that it gave volume and the lashes held the curl really well, but throughout the day it transferred under the eyebrows where my lashes touch. Unfortunately, that brings down the rating, since it’s waterproof it’s also hard to remove the "smudge", and they come back just as quickly again. I have tried most of the mascaras from Essence. I am just as positively surprised every time. Can't compare to other mascaras I've tried from significantly more expensive brands. This one is affordable, durable, gives length & holds up the lashes all day. + that it is waterproof and holds through weather & wind🤩 If you want a more extreme effect, buy this one, there are both waterproof & non-waterproof. If you prefer more natural, buy the one that is in the color black/brown. Also 5/5. I bought this abroad and was really excited to try it since it has gotten so much hype and positive feedback, but when I tried it, unfortunately it didn't work for my lashes... either I have a really bad eyelash curler or my lashes are too small. I keep trying it to change my mind, but unfortunately it doesn't work. For wet consistency, doesn't do the job
Cheap mascara, probably nice for younger ones who just started with makeup and who don't want to "look too made up", if that makes sense. For me, the consistency is too soft, I have to work a lot for it to cover the lashes completely. I think the brush is too big for my taste, it gets very messy since I have to work the mascara properly into the lashes. Doesn't give any lift or similar. It also crumbled a lot on me.
