    Finest budget mascara

    Such a sick mascara! I'm slowly but surely working my way through all of essence's mascaras, and so far none have been directly bad. But this one is fantastically beautiful on my lashes 😍 I happen to like a little spider leg feel on my lashes, so much volume, I usually use YSL's false lashes mascara or Helena Rubinstein's femme fatale. But this one is a tad prettier. The downsides are that it still tends to leave marks on both lower and upper eyelids (though less than the other waterproof essence mascaras I've had time to test), but I have this problem with almost all mascaras in general. However, when it's time to wash it off, it's kind of cemented on my lashes 😅😂 no matter how much I rub and wash (with removal of course), there's always a little mascara left. But on the other hand, for this price, it performs at the top!

    Not for me

    Bought this since it had such a high rating but it didn't live up to my expectations, it seems to work for many, maybe it's my lash type that's the problem. I have thin lashes - a bit of that typical cheap mascara smell - barely gives any color - doesn't separate the lashes properly - the packaging feels kind of uncomfortable with the "rubber" strip + cheap + works okay if you really have to

    Great product

    Generally, waterproof mascaras have the issue of not adding enough volume. However, this one works excellently in that regard, so I have been super satisfied with the product, and the mascara doesn't run down my cheeks very easily.

    Would not buy again

    The lashes look voluminous and long, but the mascara flakes throughout the day. Easy to apply and good packaging, but unfortunately I wouldn't buy it again.

      Hi Enni thank you for your review! I found a tip where it was recommended to spray setting spray/face mist throughout the day. It should "moisturize" the lashes and reduce mascara flaking. Let me know how it goes if you decide to test this. This Maybelline Sky High is my absolute favorite among waterproof mascaras. It has never flaked on me, (except maybe when the product is running low) So mascara can also start to flake if it has dried out. We are just a message away if you have any questions.     So good mascaras for such a good price! The lashes get super long, but the only thing is that it’s quite wet at the beginning, so it can get a bit messy or clumpy, but if you’re careful, it turns out so nice!
