    Don't impress me

    I don't understand why so many love this? It is absolutely a feather-light hair oil. When you open it and smell it, it smells good, but when you style your hair with heat tools, it smells more "moldy" and I didn't use it near 230 degrees, which it is supposed to protect up to. It states on the Olaplex website that 2-3 drops are usually enough, this is not true and much more is needed. It is difficult to apply to provide complete heat protection, and I also think the hair needs to be washed more often. I have other products that I prefer and usually use this oil as the last step in my hair styling routine. Then I take a few drops and apply it to the ends to provide a moisturizing effect, for this it is completely okay, but when it runs out, I will switch to silk drops from another brand.

    Everyone says you only need a few drops of this. I probably use 20 drops every time and have noticed nothing. My hair is dry and frizzy

    Unfortunately, Olaplex's products don't work very well for my hair, why? I don't know. This one smells good and a couple of drops make my hair shiny and nice. But a couple of drops too many make my hair too oily/looks greasy. Unfortunately, I haven't experienced that this makes my hair stronger or works well with styling my hair.

    I don't understand the hype around this product. Inconvenient packaging, a lot of mess, and my hair just gets sticky and quickly greasy and heavy from this :( I have pretty fine hair, so it can't handle that much product. Not for me. Smells really good, and has a nice price, so it's a bummer that the product doesn't work!

    Absolutely an expensive product but…

    It lasts long, but I don't know if it makes any difference. I've been testing it for a couple of months now, but honestly, I don't notice any difference. The packaging is also quite plastic, which you might not expect for the price for so little product. I thought maybe it was the packaging you were paying for, but it's probably just the text on it that is costly.

    I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars. This one is good as a heat protectant and for getting shine, but I feel it doesn’t moisturize as much as other hair oils. It’s light on the hair and the hair doesn’t get greasy as quickly when using this compared to other oils. I will buy again for this reason✨
