Poor design
I was really looking forward to getting this curling iron home, which is unique regarding the 44mm diameter, to create big curls. The ad lacked an explanation of how the product works. But I wanted to give it a chance anyway and ordered it. It looked very luxurious in a nice packaging with a silicone mat. It may seem obvious to use heat-protective gloves with such a product, but there should have at least been something about it, or it should have come with the product. It was difficult to handle for a home user, and I burned myself quite badly on my hand. The product design could have been better by having an extra flap that holds the hair curls in place instead of using your hand on the hot tong. A video in the ad could have been good to get a 3-D perception of the product. Unfortunately, it was returned.43 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. Preparation:
- Dry Hair: Ensure your hair is completely dry before using the curling iron.
- Heat Protection: Apply a heat protectant spray to your hair to minimize potential damage.
Setup:
- Power On: Plug in the curling iron and turn it on using the digital temperature control. Adjust to your desired heat setting (up to 200 degrees). For fine hair, use a lower temperature, while thicker hair may require a higher setting.
- Heat Up: Allow the curling iron to heat up. The digital display will indicate when it’s ready for use.
Curling Process:
- Section Hair: Divide your hair into manageable sections. Use clips to keep the sections separated.
- Wrap Hair: Take a 1-2 inch section of hair and wrap it around the 44mm ceramic barrel. Hold the iron vertically for loose waves or horizontally for more volume.
- Hold and Release: Hold the hair around the barrel for about 8-10 seconds, then gently release. Avoid pulling on the curl to maintain its shape.
Finishing Touches:
- Repeat: Continue the process with the remaining sections of your hair.
- Style: Once all sections are curled, gently run your fingers through the curls or use a wide-tooth comb to achieve your desired look.
