    Finest budget mascara

    Such a sick mascara! I'm slowly but surely working my way through all of essence's mascaras, and so far none have been directly bad. But this one is fantastically beautiful on my lashes 😍 I happen to like a little spider leg feel on my lashes, so much volume, I usually use YSL's false lashes mascara or Helena Rubinstein's femme fatale. But this one is a tad prettier. The downsides are that it still tends to leave marks on both lower and upper eyelids (though less than the other waterproof essence mascaras I've had time to test), but I have this problem with almost all mascaras in general. However, when it's time to wash it off, it's kind of cemented on my lashes 😅😂 no matter how much I rub and wash (with removal of course), there's always a little mascara left. But on the other hand, for this price, it performs at the top!

    Mascara for stubborn lashes!!

    I've tried a ton of different mascaras, but none of them make my lashes stand up, but this one gives a nice result all day! You only need 2 coats, and the right amount of product comes out with the brush. It's also very easy to remove in the evening, which is a big plus since many waterproof mascaras can be really stubborn! The price is great too! The only downside is that it smudges a little on the eyelids - but I have oily skin, so that could be a factor as well. In summary, it's a clear choice if you want an affordable mascara that gives a nice result all day💋

    it's good for the price and worked just fine. It can get a bit too dry and clumpy, and it's very important to separate the lashes before applying this, I don't have this problem with all mascaras. But it gives good length and works well as a second layer. #lykoreview

    FANTASTIC mascara

    I never thought I would find out that such an affordable mascara has become my favorite mascara, and it is the BEST mascara I have ever tried to date.. I used «The Falsies The Lash Lift Mascara» waterproof from Maybelline for a long time, and was actually quite satisfied with it. But I found it could be a bit difficult to work with. And to get it just right. Then I read so many good reviews about this one from Essence, and decided to try it, and that is definitely not something I regret. This one is super easy to work with, and to apply nicely. You don’t need to have any special technique or be good at applying mascara, it will yield a good result regardless. So I have extremely high hopes that this will work well for most. It gives both long lashes and thick lashes. And you can choose whether you want to just apply one coat or build more. I have seen some mention that they think it flakes. My impression is that it is maybe very little and no problem. It can smudge a tiny bit on the eyelid, but absolutely no more than many other more expensive mascaras, which I have experienced smudging terribly much. One trick is to have Q-tips nearby with a little bit of moisture on the tip, so you can immediately wipe away if you happen to get a bit on the eyelid or a little underneath. And I can say that I have tried both «Firework» from Maybelline, and also «Telescopic Lift» from L’Oreal (which I had seen received a lot of good feedback, also on Instagram), but these do not come close to this affordable mascara. So this is definitely my favorite, and I will continue to use it, and there is no need for me to try anything else now. I have also bought it in the regular non-waterproof version, but haven’t tried this one yet. #lykoreview

    Smudges

    I never use waterproof mascara, but I bought this to use when I'm out working with horses, animals, farm work. Rarely do I experience mascara smudging on my eyelid, but this one actually did, which was supposed to be waterproof? It's incredibly strange that it holds worse than any other mascara.. didn't look good when I came back inside.

    Bought this since it had such a high rating but it didn't live up to my expectations, it seems to work for many, maybe it's my lash type that's the problem. I have thin lashes - a bit of that typical cheap mascara smell - barely gives any color - doesn't separate the lashes properly - the packaging feels kind of uncomfortable with the "rubber" strip + cheap + works okay if you really have to
